The kicker situation might be an issue now.  Missed FG changed the game.

It is no wonder they worked out a kicker this week was it! I mean he missed another this week and that could have come back to haunt us again. He missed a big kick last week too and the week before I believe? And ultimately in close games they can prove to be the difference.

1) LB's 2) Decent RB-Doesn't need to be a star, just a pounder.Love Scott but he's not a workhorse type.He won the game, drop that pass and we lose.Wentz threaded that needle 3) same Oline to show up every week(solidifcation at both OG spots) Kelce dumb face mask bro.You know better.4)Young WR's are doing fine if we give Wentz an extra second to throw.I dump Djax and Alshon and grab 1 fairly high on draft day 5)Increased pass rush would be nice.A stud DT  would help!!!! 6) One CB that is solid.Gerry needs to wash cars, sell his uni on Ebay TOMORROW.Spain would be a nice pick-up if we can redo his contract.Gives us a solid OG at least at one spot.I would put him on the right side next to Lane.Dillard at LOG and hope this was just a bad/learning game for Mailata.Get Croom more snaps.Kick out the GUY cheerleader, then I think we''d have something plausible.JP can spell either left side guy.An expensive BU,but it's best for the team if we can go without him.So0 all we have to do is to get all that done in 10 days 🙂

Towards the end of the game, a teammate came up to Graham and told him- "Just play like your daughter is watching". That ignited a fire under his ass and he played inspired football those last two drives. Question- Do you know who that teammate was? No cheating!!!

Just thoughts on the game.

LBs from what I noticed were all decent not great but decent terrible O but maybe it’s a right step for them.

NRC wow was terrible from what I noticed needs to be replaced. Slay and Leblanc looked fine though.

Djax getting his leg twisted bent up whatever you want to call it on a way late hit on a PR sucks. But think Wentz and Hightower are finely getting on the same page back to back games with a deep connection.

Mailata think the change at LG hurt him really need to get JP or Semaulo back(Semaulo might be key) to fill the other G spot.

RT could be an issue not Lane ankle will be an issue be gutted it out for the giants game but missed snaps and couldn’t finish the game. Not sure how long Driscoll is out for. Basically see 3 options.
JP plays RT not sure if he even can,

move Mailata to RT(I don’t want this) JP at LT(again don’t want this)

Herbig at LG JP RG and Semaulo takes over at RT when healthyS(was solid at RT believe his rookie year when he had to start for us)

I rewatched the game and here's what I saw.

I focused on Mailata and saw three bad reps which led to a sack and two pressures. But he was really solid the rest of the game. Previously, he would have a lot of reps that you could see him losing, but the ball was thrown quickly or Wentz was able to sprint away from pressure. But this game he was a lot more solid overall. Obviously competition is part of it, but from a pass protection standpoint, this was his best game. He just had three bad reps, which I think is going to be something you have to live with right now as he gets better.

On run plays, he was a beast. They ran for 66 yards in the first half, and a lot of them were on Highway 68. For some reason, they stopped running the ball. But when they see the film I think you will see the philosophy change, especially when we can move Herbig back to guard.

I no longer think of Ward, Hightower and Fulgham as backups. They are starter quality wrs. I have really liked Hightower for a while, and he is getting better every game. Once Reagor gets back, this group is going to be tough to stop. Keep in mind that the Giants are bad on offense but really good on defense. And we threw away a lot of points last night.

On defense, I just don't get it. NRC is horrible, yet he's out there. And he doesn't have to be. Parks was lucky not to give up a game ending reception, but at least he forced a tough throw. Strap gave up a TD but had great coverage. NRC just doesn't offer anything.

Gerry had a sack and a few nice plays. The point remains though that he was unblocked on his good plays, which anyone can do. Compare that to Singleton who destroyed Freeman on his qb pressure. Once Edwards is healthy, those have to be your two linebackers.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2021-nfl-mock-draft-giants-add-game-changer-at-receiver-ravens-keep-adding-to-defense-and-all-of-round-1/   Mockers coming around to what we already knew lol.I will have to check out their pick, apparently he falls between the 2 I already like(Parsons and Surratt).if Howie is makiung the picks,he needs slapped upside da haid to take a LB in round 1(or 2 if we go DL first)

Jordan Malaita was the teammate.... Got to love that guy. Sure he had a rough game but I still think he has the tools to be a good one...

Oh well, you said no cheating lol.Sounds like something Wentz would say(to get the ball back lol),since he just had a daughter.Aussies are tough cookies, they never quit. They are relentless and play until the final whistle,so although it doesn't shock me I was wrong,it's nice to have that guy on your team.We went from play 30 down to play 20.This is going the wrong direction. As I say every game Ped CANNOT wait to adjust at the 1/2.He is still LOUSY at in game adjustments in the first 1/2

I was pretty shocked to find Elliot missed a 29 yard kick.Since I watched the debate,I didn't get to the game until, the 3rd.Was it tipped or what? That's pretty much a kick anyone can make

I watched him alot before the draft.had him and JJ for us.He is a bit "wiry" but has uncanny body control.I think he will continue to progress as he learns the nuances and hyped speed of the NFL game vs college. He was a blast to watch at Boise. Very dangerous.Just alot of little things I liked about him, that you can't teach.I agree with you,I am all in on our young guns.Add Reagor(who we took instead of JJ),pick up another promising guy in the draft to keep the competition brisk and I think we're good there! Ward earned his spot. Fulgham was a great addition. I like those guys that have something to prove  and I'm pleased he is doing that in Philly.I DONT miss Djax or Alshon at ALL

Djax hurt again, Ertz hurt, Malik hurt, Alshon still hasn’t played.... These were most likely trade chips in my eyes for the deadline and likely won’t trade any of them

QB is a stud.  Consistency will come as he gets better talent around him.  This was really a 30 point game if the kicker makes the FG...   they go for the other FG.. they can kick both extra points.   That's 8 points less due to a missed FG.   Impressive for this QB playing with a fire drill OL and new WRs every week.

I agree Elliott is a problem, he needs some competition. There are many reasons that contribute to Carson inconsistency including Carson...The guy is Definately a stud.

Might be time to shut Lane down let the man rest up.... If we win the division need to be as healthy as possible for the playoffs

I'm glad we get 10 days off now.Maybe get some guys back vs dem Boyz. Djax and Alshon were a total waste of money. IF by chance we make the playoffs,I keep the guys we have.NOT putting guys out there merely because we paid them.I will play them if they can PROVE to me,they are a better option. Wentz is rushed, but I can see the chemistry starting with his receivers(and even Scott on pass patterns). And I hope Sanders will be back

Djax to miss significant time per Doug... Just IR him for the year and stick the the youngsters

Damn Ridgeway finish for the year with bicep tough blow thought he was underrated 3 DT for us

This team can't keep anyone on the field,Truly pathetic. They are calling season ticket holders now to play LB

And once again i quit watching when the Eagles went down 21-10

Just like the DJax punt return walkoff game.

Maybe someday i'll learn

I'm sure he's going to IR. It remains to be seen if he can come back IF they make the playoffs.

We just can't catch a break, Malik.Jackson is hurt the way the Tealeaves are reading we get someone back and lose two in return...Who do we have left on the PS. Time to bring in some young bulls. As our old stars keep breaking down.

My point is don’t see a reason to bring him back at all maybe as depth.... Wentz is getting the connection down with Hightower get Reagor back in expecting him to take off... By the time Djax is healthy again I wouldn’t ruin what we have going with the youngsters.... Might be a great off the bench option when/if we are in the playoffs

Been looking at teams that might be doing a fire sale and was looking at ATL would you guys trade for there Lb in the middle Deion Jones????

Young guy only 25 has been pretty good from the times I remember watching him think he would fit with what we want from our LBs and would image he would be cheap

Reagor has his cast off and is catching balls today.... Think he should have a high probability of playing vs Dallas

They have two guys on the PS, McGill and Raequon Williams, so it's not a huge issue losing Ridgeway.

On the injury front, it sounds like Lane might be back for the Cowboys game, which would be big. Plus, Peters should be ready by then as well. Maddox should be back at corner, which will help. Hopefully NRC heads to the bench. He has been bad.

Edwards is apparently ready, so the team will face a decision at LB. As I have noted previously, Singleton and Edwards played really well together last year in the preseason, and I would expect that to continue if Schwartz makes the correct decision and plays them against the Cowboys. Riley has showed the ability to be a solid third LB. Gerry needs to play ST.

We could be getting healthy at just the right time.
