That completion percentage is just ugly. No way around that. 79 percent completion rate is terrible.

https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2023/3/8/23631223/eagles-news-nfl-draft-rumors-dawand-jones-offensive-line-right-tackle-paris-johnson   I had Paris as a 10 pick, but this makes alot of sense getting him while moving back into round 2 and another late pick. Since Lane says he will play another year or 2 this gives us time to hone this kid into a better player. He can fill in at RG until then. We're having them both in at the Linc

I know everybody gets enamored with the interceptions. They were great! But Gannon system favors the S big time. But a S not covering very well or tackling very well is a problem.

So you take back wanting to sign him for $13 mil ... it was smart not to sign him week 3?   After watching this awful play this year, you don't want him anymore.

Because you don't trust your eyes..  it's reading an article with all these negatives that educated you?

Seems like Adam Shefter is predicting around that $13 mil mark for CGJ.    Might be why he wanted to get to free agency so he could command more with his performance this year.   Apparently analytics and yourself don't think he did so with his poor tackling.

S draft is very weak. I only see maybe 1-2 you could start right away. CB class is alot deeper

Anyway it seems to me,since we are bringing in BOTH OSU tackles that we may target Paris at 10. I don't see us moving up for him though,so if he gets snagged, Dewand is a very nice consolation prize moving back from 30. Paris is ready to go, DeWand needs some coaching. Either can start at RG which is fine if lane is still going to play. That would work DeWand into the mix

54th in tackling among S and 59th on completion percentage.

When you watched him play this season...did you think his coverage was a problem?     Did it seem like he was bad in coverage?    Did he seem to give up a lot of key plays?

CJG- The early ints helped him alot. Possibly he wasn't targeted as much after those which would account for his tackles falling off. If QB's avoided throwing his way because he had intimidated them, then that would make sense. You can't tackle people the QB's don't throw to. IDK could be wrong

By my count there are 66 safeties on the FA market. That's gonna dilute the market a bit.

That's an overload. Good for us though since this S draft class is weak. Howie will hit the bargain basement and I found that round 7 kid we can work on.

Blankenship looked good. IDK what his ceiling is

Another RT I like is Darnell Wright(Tennessee). Could take Paris at 10,or move back from 10 and get this kid maybe in the 15-17 range,or move back from 30 for Dewand. Trade the 10 back with TB,then move up for Darnell. IDK so many ways we can go.

Really good for an UDFA

I just hope if we sign an FA it's not for 1 year. Find a younger guy we can sign for 3

Or a 25 year old that we could sign for 5 years... say a guy who the team puts in man coverage against a guy like Terry McClaurin...and probably why it makes his coverage #s look bad?    A guy like that...lol.

That's why i mentioned the number of safeties on the market. CGJ might not get what he thinks he will

I wasn't paying much attention. Is Kazir White worth bringing back?

RBBC RB I would look at(cheap)-Damien Harris from the Pats. Donta Foreman also from Carolina

I don't think he will be first choice.

He had a high missed tackle rate.

Have to wait it out ….can’t sign any outside FA…working on crushing the comp picks. Forget the deadlines and all to decide whether a FA counts against you or not. Gotta wait until after that to sign any outside guys.

I thought he didn’t look great. But he clearly started all year. Cheaper starting option to retain I’d think.

Not talking about comp picks.I'm talking about acquisitions and not signing 1 year band aids
