They have two guys on the PS, McGill and Raequon Williams, so it's not a huge issue losing Ridgeway.

McGill hasn’t impressed me much and haven’t seen the UDFA rookie yet... Ridgeway was graded as our best DT per PFF last game. Dude can play was a good 3rd DT. Without Malik wouldnt down play the impact of losing our 3rd DT.

Edwards is apparently ready, so the team will face a decision at LB. As I have noted previously, Singleton and Edwards played really well together last year in the preseason, and I would expect that to continue if Schwartz makes the correct decision and plays them against the Cowboys. Riley has showed the ability to be a solid third LB. Gerry needs to play ST.

I would not get your hopes up. Highly unlikely Schwartz demotes Gerry.
Only way I see Gerry not being one of our main LBs is if he gets injured.... So basically stuck with him until next year.

My point is don’t see a reason to bring him back at all maybe as depth.... Wentz is getting the connection down with Hightower get Reagor back in expecting him to take off... By the time Djax is healthy again I wouldn’t ruin what we have going with the youngsters.... Might be a great off the bench option when/if we are in the playoffs

My point. A defense has to respect his speed which opens up the middle of the field. Even more so if they have DJax, Reagor and Hightower available.

You connect with Reagor and Hightower deep the respect will be there for the speed threat... Djax needs to ride pine

On the injury front, it sounds like Lane might be back for the Cowboys game, which would be big. Plus, Peters should be ready by then as well. Maddox should be back at corner, which will help. Hopefully NRC heads to the bench. He has been bad.

We could be getting healthy at just the right time.

Most guys we lose are "issues" so I tend to disagree. Although we've had some success with PS WR's,there is a pecking order for a reason(I would hope) PS players farther down the PS roster IS an issue for me.Can we get some legit starters in here???? Next we will be working out concession workers, although trading Gerry for the hot dog guy even up could be a brilliant move

IDK maybe Killins is coming along? I know he is small, but so was Scott and Wentz dropped a dime on him. Killins .02 faster than draft darling Ruggs.I know they are trying to convert him to WR. Still you can't ignore he already has RB skills. We should, use him like we used Sproles. Get Killins loose in the open field and he will create havoc and IDC HOW you get that done or from WHERE.Biggest knock on Killins is his weight, but this boy can SCOOT!!!!

Ridgeway out for the season. Can we keep a healthy DT not named Cox?

Sounds like TJ Edwards might make it back. Would be welcome back! Singleton has been playing well...and with a little attitude. Getting these guys in on D and ST will only help us.

This team can't keep anyone on the field,Truly pathetic. They are calling season ticket holders now to play LB

Dude, I’m crushed! I thought that I was getting called up. Haha.

The issue with Hightower is that he was fast vs weak competition. He doesn't seem to outrun guys in the NFL. And he was a one trick pony here at Boise State. I have seen better WRs at Boise State....and they didn’t even move on from college football.

Well it went to voice mail and they couldn't wait any longer 🤣

May be true. You could make the same claim about Reagor(and I said he seemed to be a 1 trick pony as well).Supposedly, thats' why we have  scouts/coaches,to scout players with potential that maybe could learn some things. Some colleges are limited as to the kind of players enrolled.I'm hoping both Reagor and Hightower can learn to run better route trees. Many times that takes 1-2 years, which I suppose is the reason we see "break-outs" in year 3,when they finally put it all together. And let's remember Hightower was a LATER pick. Some colleges prepare their youth better for the NFL than others. For me the jury is out on both players

According to Draftek these are the top 5 LB's I see no reason we can't get one.If we could get Jabril Cox in round 2 I would be happy with that(take a DL in 1).Although IMO Parson ranks ahead of Moses. I would think both of them go before 15,but at this point how much worse could any of the top 5 be????

This is a tweet that should be paid attention to.

Fulgham shows ability to win quickly through fantastic route running, plus his size makes him almost impossible to cover out of the slot. This is basically Zach Ertz with the ability to generate YAC and beat guys deep.

With how well Hightower has done from the Z, and the fact that Reagor can play the X, this is the future of the offense.

We are going to see it in full force after the bye. The oline should be in really good shape by then. Reagor, Sanders and Goedert will be back. I am almost certain that this will be a top 5 offense the rest of the season. And, more importantly, it will be one where almost every significant part is under 30 and here for a long time.

I keep saying, getting healthy while we win a weak division, and getting WRs out of nowhere...from the garbage heap to the playoffs....

Fulgham is just a beast no where around it complete stud

Only WR to have a better first 3-4 game stretch in Eagles history then Fulgham was TO.... And A. That great company don’t have to like TO the person but have to respect his game(I love TO). B. TO was an established WR when he got here Fulgham is a 2nd year pro establishing himself

Some thoughts on watching the all 22.

In the first half, Wentz was pretty bad. On the first drive he was really good. On the second drive he missed wide open guys on two of the three plays. On the interception, he had a nice pocket but spun into pressure for some reason. He also had a bad pass to Fulgham on the play before the missed field goal. A better placed ball is an easy td. That being said, there were some nice throws in there as well.

The defense played well, but Mills is a bad safety and NRC is a bad outside corner, so they are lucky the Giants are a bad offense. I thought Duke Riley looked okay. He, Singleton and Edwards might be a halfway decent trio at LB. Strap had good coverage on the TD, but it was a nice throw and a great catch, and sometimes that happens.

In the second half, We had two bad drives to start. We failed to get a 3rd and 1, and then we allowed pressure on a third down play where Fulgham was wide open. There was also a bad pass to Huntley that should have been an easy completion (Huntley looked good on one of his two runs, I want to see more of him.)

On the long qb run, Mills was horrible as the deep safety. It should have been a 10 to 15 yard gain, but he had no idea where the ball was until Jones was 30 yards down the field.

On their long TD drive, we had some bad plays and bad breaks. The PI on LeBlanc looked to be BS. Curry had a great move but missed an easy sack that turned into a seven yard gain. NRC got beat pretty badly. So did Gerry. Mills failed to fill his gap on a long run.

But after that the defense cam up big when it mattered, and so did the offense, so it all worked out.

In general, we need to get healthy on offense and make better personnel decisions on defense. Mills can't play safety. NRC can't play outside corner. Gerry is our fifth best linebacker, and that's a generous ranking. We will see how we do after getting some guys back at 100 percent on both sides of the ball.

I mean have to point out NRC as well just stating it he was also lost.  But the whole D got played by that read option

You do realize Gerry isn’t likely to get benched right even when Edwards is healthy???? And this is just strictly looking at Schwartz. He has not hidden he likes Gerry. Gerry easily plays the most snaps on D pretty sure leads the team in tackles and calls the D sets at LB. on top of that Gerry had a halfway decent game vs the Giants(yes it’s the giants I know) but if Schwartz hasn’t pulled Gerry when he was terrible why would we think he pulls him when he had a halfway decent game.

We likely stuck with Gerry as the starter this entire season and if Schwartz is the DC next year Gerry likely will have a heavy role still

It will be an interesting situation. Singleton is playing too well right now to bench. Edwards was their best LB before he got hurt, so I think they have to put him in there. Gerry made some plays against the Giants, but all of them came when he was unblocked. That's not good plays by him as much as a scheme failure by the offense. Compare that to Singleton who pressured the qb by blowing up a block. That's what you need to see from a LB.

Mills has to be moved back to corner as well. He is terrible at safety. If they didn't have options I could see the decision to keep him there, but he is our best option at CB2 and our worst option at SS, so it makes no sense. Parks, Epps and Wallace are all far better than him. He did have a nice play on the interception, but again making nice plays when no one is around is different than defeating blocks and making tackles, which is what he gets paid to do.

I not really concerned by any of this just stating simple fact of what Schwartz thinks.... For whatever reason what your watching and what Schwartz is seeing isn’t matching up. Was just two weeks ago Schwartz defended Gerry and his snap count hasn’t taken any hit.

Situation will likely be Gerry stays how he is, Edwards will likely take over Bradley’s snaps Singletary/Riley will split.

Djax our 6-8 weeks fracture in his ankle

Was a dirty hit on Djax that should never have happened clearly already on the ground and UDFA rookie comes in and hit him twisting up the leg.
