Joe Banner has come out and said the Eagles have been looking into LB and OL help for the trade deadline for whatever that’s worth... I’d image he still has a pretty decent idea what’s going on inside.

Pro Football Focus has Mailata graded as the Eagles’ worst offensive player from this game. He allowed five total pressures and struggled as a run blocker. Opeta ranked second worst and Pryorwas fourth worst.

this was vs the Giants

This is a tweet that should be paid attention to.

Fulgham shows ability to win quickly through fantastic route running, plus his size makes him almost impossible to cover out of the slot. This is basically Zach Ertz with the ability to generate YAC and beat guys deep.

With how well Hightower has done from the Z, and the fact that Reagor can play the X, this is the future of the offense.

We are going to see it in full force after the bye. The oline should be in really good shape by then. Reagor, Sanders and Goedert will be back. I am almost certain that this will be a top 5 offense the rest of the season. And, more importantly, it will be one where almost every significant part is under 30 and here for a long time.

Reminds me alot of why I wanted JJ in the last draft.I think keeping him there when the outside guys return is a terrific idea

I only had Mailata for three pressures. There was one play that I didn't think he gave up a pressure because Wentz spun around instead of shuffling to his right, but I think they dinged him for that. The other one may have been on a blitz he failed to pick up, but I doubt that was his assignment. I will admit he had a bad day at the office, but it was hardly a disaster.

As for Opeta, I watched every snap and, for his first regular season game playing against all high draft picks in BJ Hill, Tomlinson and Williams, I thought he was fine. The penalties called against him were legit, and he had a few bad moments, but he was mostly pretty solid.

Dallas doesn't have a DT that will give us any trouble, so I wouldn't worry about him being in there if he has to play.

One thing I would note is that our blocking isn't terrible, but teams have zero respect for our ability to throw the ball deep and relentlessly blitz us and crowd the box. That's why Hightower has been getting open deep. Plus, Rodgers is a terrible blocker. So he hurts us in the run game. Once we get Sanders, Goedert and Reagor back, I think this offense will take off. I didn't watch Pryor specifically, but I don't think he was awful at RT.

Another things is that we should have scored a lot more points. Wentz threw a dumb interception in the red zone. We got stopped on a fourth and goal on a horrible PI no call on Butler. We missed a short FG. That could have been 9 to 17 points right there against a solid defense.

I think Herbig, Pryor and Opeta are all pretty solid backups. It's not ideal if they are all in there at once, but you can get away with one of them. Mailata, right now, is at least an average starter in the NFL at LT, and is certainly the best in the division right now considering the injury to Tyron Smith.

My eye test when i watch the game the OL was bad start to finish goes for Mailata... So the PFF grades don’t shock me really. I didn’t deep dive into the game though.

My opinion as of right now for next year OL.

Mailata is penciled in as starter but will compete with Dillard for the job so basically Mailata job to lose close battle edge goes Mailata.

Gs- this could be tricky but right now I’d say Semaulo/Brooks(Brooks is easy) Herbig top backup

C- why G is tricky if Kelce returns easy he starts if he retires then Semaulo could be a legit option here or Jurgia. Semaulo gets the nod at C Herbig would be the starter at LG.

RT- it’s Lane job

Side note on LT battle of Dillard loses I’d likely look to trade if Mailata lost he would be the top backup swing T. Driscoll is the top T backup if Mailata won.

No Djax,No Alshon. Money wasted. We have a nice WR corps started.Grab 1 more in the draft.Grab a RB somewhere, but really start HAMMERING the O line and defense(DT, LB's(plural) CB's much needed)

Mailata LOT,Dillard LOG,now only the battle of ROG starter and BU's for all those positions is all that's left. Driscoll BU LOT and LOG who could give both breathers from time to time.makes things alot simpler going forward and avoids the "musical chairs"

Doing the above means you are looking for:Kelce heir(could already be on the team),BU for Lane at ROT,battle for starting ROG and their BU.So basically 4 positions to battle for on the O line

A big game in DC tomorrow. I am really hoping Dallas gets beaten up pretty good, not just because I dislike Dallas, but because I want their season to be over before we play them next week.

I think Washington is probably the second-best team in the division right now because they have been pretty healthy. But they just lack weapons on offense to be much of a threat to us by the end of the year. However, they play the Cowboys right before us, and then play the Giants right before us, so I want them to beat up on both those teams before we have to deal with them. And they have the players on defense to do that.

Not sure how we don’t go D heavy in the off-season for the most part think the O is in place.

QB-Wentz is the guy not going anywhere

RB-Sanders healthy stud, Scott is a fine backup really just need that power RB late round draft pick(still like to see Holyfield given a chance) also like to see Huntley given an extended look watching the few snaps vs the giants he just looked explosive like get that man an inch and he is off to the races.

WR- think we are fairly set Fulgham is coming into his own, Hightower is getting there think year 2 he could really take off. Reagor when he comes back gives us that speed we need. Ward is a good 4th. JJaw though not living up to his 2nd round grade I have loved his effort last few weeks blocking making the catches that do come his way etc. and still have Watkins.

TE- Geodart will likely be the starter think Ertz will be traded in the off-season. Will need a backup

OL- see above but think we are good here as well.

On the D side basically make a case for us needing every position

LB-we all already know

CB- really just Slay and he is 29-30 Leblanc is alright but rather him be a backup rather then starter

DE-Graham is 32, Sweat has been good, Barnett is showing up some but not seeing that special player no real young depth behind them

DT- two best DTs are 30, I haven’t noticed Hargrove much but he will be here no real promising youth behind them though. Ridgeway could be a cheap decent option backup

S- similar to CB really only see McLeod as a keeper bit 29-30... I’ve liked some of what I’ve seen from Wallace might be able to become a starter or 3rd S for us.

This was Mailatas worst game but anyone who doesn't expect a regression game is a fool.

The important thing is how he reacts

Honestly just stating the facts not making excuses for them the OL was bad that included Mailata.

Honestly to me nothing changed I’m not freaking out that he had a bad game. And to me next offseason he is still the penciled in starter set to battle Dillard.

I'm sure teams have watched him and hit him with "different" things. He is still learning.Once he learns all the tricks WATCH OUT!!! I would like him to work on ONE play we can use later. Him as a Tackle eligble FB.Let him truck a few for "old times" sake.I think letting him do that puts a HUGE smile on his face

Dallas looks finished Dak kept them afloat without him they are crumbling

That will always bring a smile to my face.

With Dallas looking finished looks like it will be a Philly DC race for first in the worst East

A semi-interesting article about the team's options on the offensive line.

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/eagles-offensive-line-2020-nfl-injuries-jason-peters-lane-johnson-jason-kelce

If Peters can play against the Cowboys, I would probably put him at RG and move Herbig back to LG, regardless of the tackle situation. I didn't watch any of Pryor's snaps, but as long as he wasn't awful, I would keep him there for one game.

When everyone's healthy (assuming Brooks isn't back), the line should be Lane, Peters, Kelce, Seumalo and Mailata. Herbig can play guard until Seumalo returns, and then can backup both guard spots. Driscoll can play RT if Lane is hobbled. Toth really doesn't really deserve a roster spot, and I guess he will be waived once we get Peters and Seumalo back.

I don't think they can bench Mailata at this point. He had a down game against the Giants, but Peters isn't going to be better, and Peters could also give us really goo play at guard. So it makes no sense to weaken two positions.

The real question could be Lane.... Would the Eagles be better off having Mailata/JP play T if Lane can’t go??? Especially if you get Semaulo back and have Herbig capable of playing G.

Idk just putting it out there though because to me at this point it would be best to have Lane sit and rest for awhile get back to 100% for the off chance we make the playoffs

I’d Driscoll/Mailata with JP Semaulo G better then JP/Mailata Ts with Herbig Semaulo Gs....

Lots to ask ourselves with the injuries I guess

I would rather put Peters at guard, but one of the reasons is that I think he can be really good there. Earlier, he struggled to pass set at tackle, but he still is extremely powerful, and I think he could be a bulldozer in the run game. Plus, I think it will be easier on his body. And they have three options at RT, with Lane, Driscoll and Pryor. And if Pryor struggles, they can help him.

On an unrelated note, Daulton just got smashed.

Lane hurt like stated think he needs rest would want him to wait till he is 100%

Pryor to be isn’t great at RT so he don’t see him as a realistic option really.

So again to me it would come down to us JP/Mailata better then Mailata/Driscoll.

Personally speaking I’d be fine playing Semaulo at RT been awhile for him but was good there. And I think Herbig is much better then Driscoll at this point(at there respective positions)

So finding some combo to get Herbig, Semaulo,JP on the field with Mailata Kelce would be my play think those are the 5 best OL.

I think we are only talking about one game of Pryor at RT. It is almost a certainty that Lane or Driscoll will be available after the bye, so it's one start for Pryor, and it's against the Cowboys, who are terrible on defense. If the plan is to play Peters at guard, I would rather see them do that right away then play him at LT for a game, move Mailata to RT, and then put someone at guard who is just going to be moved after the bye.

It seems simpler to put Peters where he is going to play, rather than move him around. Obviously this changes if they think Peters is better at T than Mailata, in which case they will just put him there.
