Tyler Huntley I would say would be the ideal backup. Mariota just does something so stupid to blow a game late.

Well we didn't get him

They are overpaying a band aid QB. I’d expect them to be aggressive and draft a QB. They are just rebuilding in my view.

Yes DTR in round 7. We already talked to him(no guarantee but a good sign) Kid looks like he should go higher that than, but I like him

https://thedraftnetwork.com/sr-prospect/luke-schoonmaker-967099b9-55fd-4e82-90e8-37ac5ee674ef/  Been eyeing this kid as our 94 pick. You wanted a blocking TE,here he is. Not big stats because of Michigans powerhouse offense,so I suspect there is upside for him as a receiver. Also young RB could be here,or possibly another CB. 94 is the tough choice for me lol(like it matters what I think)

Know we couldn't afford him but gonna miss Hargrave.  Have to wonder if Suh is on alert to play late in the season if we're in the running. Think we should have kept Edwards. Sign CJ and I'll be happy.

I'm thinking they prefer to play Jurgens at RG this year..but still wouldn't stop me from drafting OL.   Lane said he wants to play 2 more years. Still can't go wrong drafting OL.

I'll pass

You gotta remember...he won't be playing the role of #1 CB here... he probably would be perfect fit in this defense.

I guess I'm kinda 50/50. He'll be ok until he bites down on the double move crunch by General Mills. Then again maybe Slay and Bradberry can better him.

But there is no double move to bite on if he isn't playing CB

I'll have to make time to figure out these numbers from OTC. Theses also don't include Mariota.

Like why didn't we resign Hargrave and Seu if we owe them so much?

The cap calculations are as clear as mud

Welp he'a played R and LT and he would be a great RG IMO. Like Dickerson was supposed to be Kelce's replacement now at LG. I just like the fact he can play anywhere on the line and if we had to play musical linemen like we have before,he can fill in at the spot we'd need him to,and when the time comes he can fully take over for Lane. I just feel it's a wise investment

Yeah, but we need to think about Kelce leaving also

IDK,I like my picks of Wilson and Kancey 1/2 punch in the draft. Imagine these 2 along with Cox and Davis manning the front 4-BRUTAL. Just a brick WALL against the run, and all 4 are disruption problems for QB's

Curious now if Greedy could swing into being a S. No experience there however or if he is just a BU CB/STer.

Then you have Reddick, Sweat and Graham.

Not worth looking at yet...too much unknown that it's not really updated well on the team portions of the site.  The best use of the site is for future comp picks and to look at the upcoming draft positions of each team.   Probably won't get a real update on the cap for a while.

Like with the Eagles...there is so much behind the scenes they don't know about to actually input on the site.  I'm guessing a few players restructured or some things kicked in on their contracts that turned salary to bonus or whatever.

First sign of an update will be Slay's # changing.

Yeah but now the young guys are in and we can lose, trade, rotate,re-sign, anyone we wanted to. Basically the line would be excellent for years to come. Just allows Howie lots of leeway

Absolutely.... I've been saying for a few years now my biggest issue with the long term was the DL.  If you can add a couple of top rookies to the mix now ... it sure looks a lot better going forward after Cox and Graham finish up here.

Then ... as you like to mention only with the RBs for some reason...lol....   we would have 5 years control on all three of the young guys.    More important to have that control on the linemen than it is a RB.     Especially being that the 5th year salary would be the same regardless of position.   So say it's $10 mil....  well we just saw that is half of what Hargrave got...  and it's the tag price for Barkley and Pollard.

So much more value using that 5th year option on DL vs RB.  Part of the reason I would never draft a RB round 1.

Did the Chiefs need those kind of safeties to win?   I mean you said " need "

The 32 GMs seem to disagree..as they have RB and S and the lowest paid positions.

Seems like you want to build a roster with RBs and DBs...  sizzle over the steak.     I disagree with that.   I would finish my roster with those spots.

Chiefs had first, third round RB. Pacheco just lit it up as a great find Diamond in the rough.
