Yep,but like I said, when the playoffs start everyone is 0-0

Yes they are you are right. But good teams are still generally good and bad teams are still bad generally.

Yeah, but the way things are, teams change weekly.Look at Barkley out,Dak/Dalton out now.Caff has been out awhile,Jimmy is back and the 9ers look better..The advantage is,they have to start where WE have already been,so who knows? By then we may be the team that is ready to go.Even with an asterisk,it's nice to hang that division banner at the Linc. So,we have been the underdogs many times.I kinda like it that way 🙂

Hey I want us to make the play offs. It would be an incredible story if we could go on a play off run... I just don't see it happening. This is a bad team even with players coming back from injury. The flaws we see right now are mostly the flaws many expected.

I mean we have a potent O that can drop 30 on anyone and that with a hampered O no OL, young WRs no TEs.

Get healthy on the OL, get more exp. For the WRs get Geodart back now more recently get Sanders back.

Wstching this team last few weeks I don’t think we are as bad as many think. The D has issues that we can’t correct but if the O gets right and healthy we can compete with any team

For what it’s worth Schwartz stated Maddox the starting CB opposite slay when healthy

Yeah that's what I was trying to point out, I personally think Wentz blew the first 2 games, maybe 3 with those picks. Now you get back all those things you just mentioned, and Mailata coming along, learning as he goes.he should be improved 7-8 weeks from now. Reagor back and getting some games in .Ertz/Goedert combo back.So there are alot of moving parts here.Win the last few games, get some momentuim, with all your $ players and hungry KIDS,so I will just hope for the best and see where the chips fall

I will STILL complain about 2 things.1)The CB's need to be taught to turn their heads around 2) Ped canNOT wait until 1/2 time to make adjustments. He's always been bad at this,he needs to work on that and make minor adjustments on the fly.IF we hit the playoffs and play 30 minutes(or 20 last game) we're done

Getting Maddox back should help us both from a coverage standpoint and a tackling standpoint.

It will be interesting to see how we line up on Sunday. Obviously Lamb is a big part of their offense, so the question becomes whether the team puts NRC or Strap on him. Personally I would put Maddox on him, let Mills cover Gallup and have Slay on Cooper. But my guess is that NRC will be on Lamb and Maddox will cover Gallup, which is a bad matchup for him.

I think Schwartz has done somewhat of a good job with his scheme this year. We still have struggled with misdirection plays, but that is a pretty easy fix. We are doing more creative blitzes, as Dlinemen have dropped into coverage at times, which has created easy pressures. But I still think his biggest weakness is not putting his best players on the field.

Singleton and Edwards should be the linebackers. Mills should be the outside corner against bigger receivers. Maddox should be in the slot. Parks should be the SS. It's frustrating to see a team with the pieces to have a decent defense, and it get wasted because guys are playing out of position. It is also super frustrating that we dumped Douglas, Jenkins and Jones when all of them are better than the guys we kept.

Hmmm, since we got Hurts last draft(and he got some snaps whereas Suds did not) would you trade Suds for DE Griffen(Dullaz).I get that it's interdivisional.1)They have no QB with ANY experience if Dalton is out.2) we could use the added pass rush.I don't believe either guy would be ready when we face off next week. With the bye it gives Griffen more time to acclimate.it was a 1 year 6 mil contract,so with part of the season gone, perhaps they would swallow the rest of that contract for at least a QB who has had some snaps. Dullaz has said basically he is "on the market"

Maddox on Gallup should be the matchup honestly. Lamb I’d honestly say Mills could be the best option.

Gallup would get the best of Mills he has to much speed.

So to me would be Amari-Slay Gallup-Maddox Lamb-Mills.

Leblanc on Lamb isn’t terrible option either. But I wouldn’t put Maddox or NRC on him.

honestly NRC needs to sit on the bench

Gallup isn't a burner. He's got 4.5 speed, which is in Mill's wheelhouse. He wins because he's a really good route runner and has decent size. I would rather have Maddox on Lamb because he has a little better recovery speed than Mills, and can stop Lamb from turning short catches into long runs.

But I think we are destined to see NRC or Strap on Lamb, which isn't ideal in any way.

Amazingly, we seemingly have 20 guys on the team who can play slot corner, and yet we have consistently gotten poor play out of our slot corners.

AG also now doing well in Las Vegas(sheesh) 3 TD's in 3 games

Have you watched that man play???? He beats people deep

Ceedee Lamb is also bigger then Gallup and is know to break tackles and make more. Seems better suited for Mills think he just bullies Maddox all day.

Mills worst trait is covering the deep ball and that is Gallup’s strength it a terrible matchup in my eyes

If I’m DC I’m stacking the box playing 3 LBs taking Zeke completely out the game... Tell them make DeNucci rookie late round QB to beat me.

play single high S drop Mills/Parks in the slot when need be. LB covers TE/RB.

And these issues are partly why I think they'll struggle in the play offs bud.

With Dallas looking finished looks like it will be a Philly DC race for first in the worst East

I really like what you're saying...but... until we beat them twice I can't count them out . There is just to much offensive firepower on that team for them not be there at the end.. Next time we face them G men it will be much tougher.

This helps us.

Griffen lined up against the LT, so it's one less problem for Mailata this week.

Here are the PS guys the team protected.

Not surprised that the two DTs are protected. Also this just happened.

I have to think they add a player to the roster at DT, and call up someone from the PS to be active Sunday with Jackson iffy to play. The one issue with Rush is that he has a knee injury, so he may not be 100 percent.

Also, Curry and Graham can play inside, so they may just call up Williams instead of adding anyone to the roster. I could see them adding Rush to the roster, but it doesn't help them until after the bye, which gives him time to heal plus doesn't mean the team has to use a roster spot on him until then. I guess it all depends on whether thy like Rush or McGill more.

Fulgham has been running a lot of great routes from the slot. His inside/outside versatility makes me think we are going to move on from Ertz after the season, as he doesn't really fit anymore now that we have guys like Fulgham and Ward who can work the middle of the field. Especially with Hightower showing signs of being a legit deep threat.

Odd thet the low paid players are making an impact.

Well maybe it's not so  odd.

Really pleased that my QB has been sooooo Clutch just wish they didn't put themselves with their Backs Against the proverbial Wall for them to play ball. I think if we face Pitts or BMore a second time I like our chances. Really looking forward to seeing Reagor back in the lineup. Any news on Quez Watkins. We must find a way to get our speed on the field.

Disappointed we did not bring up our power guy Holyfield from the PS. Clement was much better last game though still not overly effective. Really hope our young TE's show up against them Gals.  Really hoping for a dominating Soul Crushing beat down against them Stin$ing Cow$/tch&s ...Step on their throat kind of beat down with my 2-5-1 Eagle record hehehehehe... Lunacy...lol.

Reagor posted this.

For those wondering, as I was, it means "Back from the Dead."

So I guess he plays Sunday, which is good, though the team is probably less than excited he posted it on twitter, as they like surprises. But kids these days.

IDK, I wouldn't call us a bad team if healthy.    I would say we are short of being a real contender, but not a bad team... if the offense was whoever at LT with Semaulo, Kelce, Brooks and Lane ... with both TEs... a healthy Sanders....and DeSean, Reagor, Alshon back.... with the younger guys getting limited reps, not what they had to endure in the beginning... is that a bad team??? I would say no, not even close.... is it one that could win a title, long shot IMO.  Bad teams were the end of Andy Reid era, the last year of Ray Rhodes, the last years of Kotite, Marian Campbells era...etc.    Those were bad teams.   A healthy Eagles team is easily in the top half of the league, maybe crack the top ten.  That's not a bad team.  If that is bad then we have about 20 bad teams in the league.

The current team, the inexperienced guys who never started an NFL game prior to this year... which is like 9 guys on the offense.  Yeah, shockingly that's a bad team?????  Kind of common sense there, that these guys wouldn't be lighting it up.   The uniform and helmet don't matter, the guys inside who play do.

If we make the playoffs, the benefit is just giving these young guys experience.  It doesn't mean anyone thinks they are close to being a contender and that there won't be a ton of changes coming  Right now our roster is all either old or young guys... and the QB.   It's an obvious rebuild/ retool whatever you want to call it coming up.  It got put in fast forward mode with all these injuries.  Right now, I feel bad for 3 guys... Cox, Graham and Kelce, they may be playing their last seasons at the top of their games and it's really with not much chance to win another SB.
