if the offense was whoever at LT with Semaulo, Kelce, Brooks and Lane ... with both TEs... a healthy Sanders....and DeSean, Reagor, Alshon back

Having a semi healthy OL would help I agree. In fact it would really help. Even if we just had Lane and Seumalo healthy it would help give Wentz better protection.

Having Alshon and Desean back? To me that doesn't move the needle and to be honest I don't want either back. They are old and they are done.

But the issues with this team are also beyond that. This is an ageing team and the secondary is pretty darn horrible. And those things can't be fixed with getting players back and healthy.

Secondary honestly been better this year then in most years under Schwartz. Total pass yards we rank 15th pass yards per game we are 7th.... If anything we have been poor vs the run but the unconventional runs QBs running, WRs, TEs.

On D biggest concerns should be our lack of ability to force turnovers, and run D(though we have been fine stopping RBs) but not being able to stop the jet sweeps to WRs/TEs and not being able to contain QBs.

RZ D has been avg. As well though some of that is also the poor O fault with consistent turnovers putting the D in bad spots

This is pretty big news. I doubt he plays this week, but he will be back after the bye, at which time we will be pretty much at full strength, especially if Seumalo can start practicing.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys...

And more good news for us.

Jalen Reagor will practice today, Doug Pederson said.
Miles Sanders, Jason Peters, Dallas Goedert and Malik Jackson all in the day-to-day range.
Reagor is awaiting final medical clearance to return to play, which could come this week.

I image we don’t active these guys unless we believe they have a chance to play vs Dallas.

Both teams have a lot of moving parts ahead of the game.

For the Cowboys, the three biggest names are Daulton, Zach Martin and Sean Lee, who all may play, as well as Looney and Awuzie.

If Looney and Martin can play, that would help their line out tremendously, as their replacements have been awful. Martin will probably play RT and Looney will play guard, as their rookie center has been okay.

Daulton seems iffy to play, and my guess is he will sit. Lee won't give them much since we will mainly be in 11 personnel.

Them dumping Griffen, Poe and Worley should help us, although Worley and Poe were struggling. I guess Awuzie is an upgrade over Worley, but who knows.

I thought we would go for Griffen ourselves lol.Our secondary has never been great as of late, and our LB's haven't either, but our defense was based on a DOMINANT(not just good but dominant) pass rush which we are lacking. And they expose the weakness at CB and LB.Most of the players we let go seem to be doing fine in their new homes and this bother me ALOT. It's one thing to let aging players go when the gas starts running out. It's another to let players walk because you can't coach them and see them succeed elsewhere

Sounds to me like uncle Jerry gave the word to tank the year for better draft picks since Dak won't be back this year(or too late to help anything). Also losing the "Garrett" era players.I hope they sign and overpay DipS8it Kuppanutz which would dislodge their motto of "America's team".So far,the Hurts experiment isn't working, the few plays he's had. Interesting he gets 1-2-3 plays a game,Suds gets ZERO.So say Dullaz tanks enough to be a top 3 draft team.Do they go for it and try for Trevor Lawrence?(supposedly would be the Jets pick at 1).As things stand I see us in the pick 9-14 range. No guarantees Dak will be the same QB after this injury,we have seen this movie before

IDK if we go DL or LB round 1. I see us needing 2 LB's a decent CB prospect. I would opt for 1 of each, the get another LB prospect and perhaps a RB(or we trade Ertz for one)

But you can't just those runs away. Those runs are hurting us pretty much every week.

You seem all over the place you said secondary now you are on run D man. This D is avg. at best I agree but this O can but top notch when healthy.

So at this point I’m just saying let’s play the season out I think our O can have us compete with just about any team

If it were me, I would put Peters at RG and, if Lane and Driscoll aren't available, I would take my medicine with Pryor, who wasn't horrible last week.

Goedert being back would be pretty big.

The team is now facing an issue in who they cut when guys get activated. They have two open roster spots, but could activate five guys off IR. My guess is that if Edwards, Ford, Peters, Reagor and Goedert are activated, they cut Croom, Toth and I guess Butler.

Yes he was no way around it the whole Ol was terrible Pryor was graded as one of the worst only slightly better then mailata

Eagles offensive line at practice today Jason Peters is at left tackle Jordan Mailata is it right tackle Jason Peters has a good chance of returning Sunday night

Not ideal, but Mailata against Lawrence should be interesting. It will be a good test for him.

All over the place? You brought up the run D that was struggling... Didn't realise I had to reply to every single one of your points...

Mailata vs Lawrence is way better then Pryor or Driscoll

Yes I did because that what’s actually struggling not so much the pass D. And it isn’t really RBs just the odd ball carries that’s hurt us.

Perhaps but I'd rather they didn't take away snaps from Mailata at LT. Stick JP at RT if we have to.

Playing younger players is obviously the right move for #Eagles. But the one unit you play the best 5, no matter what, is O-Line -- because keeping Wentz safe is the top priority. Can't risk Wentz's health for developmental reps if Stout, coaches thinks JP is better

The pass D hasn't been great. Let's not get carried away with stats and rankings. This team has played... A bad offense in the WFT, they were wooped by a decent Rams offense, they did well against a battered SF and then were toasted in the next 2 games against good offenses.

And we likely get Wentz killed JP has played the left side his entire career the footwork completely different just throwing him over there isn’t a recipe for success.

Not a fan of moving Mailata either but he has played RT for us practiced there during the off-seasons got reps etc.

I don't think it's a matter of JP being better at LT, it's that a tackle combo of Mailata and Peters is better than one of Mailata and Pryor. Once Lane is healthy, I think Peters gets moved to guard, unless Mailata struggles this week.
