https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/sports/nbcsports/howie-roseman-older-players-eagles/3529049/  Add lane to this list,we're going back to the future with OLD guys

Read this again. So what are we doing 2,3,4 years from now? Love lane, but he's not going to hold up 4 more years

He’s not in prison. He just has to take a drivers safety course. Huge difference!

I would have a clause where he can't drive his first year in the league.  Something like that...or he rooms with his Georgia teammates.

Really seems like the driving is his issue.   If that's out, he seems fine to draft.   If all these guys are there, I'm ok trading down a few spots, maybe one team takes the RB... then one of these targets falls to us.

So if Paris is out then for me it's Nginga, could possibly trade back a bit and still get him, otherwise I make a bigger trade back for more picks

I’ve driven fast plenty of times. Got 35 miles per hour over dropped to 19 to avoid reckless driving. Didn’t even have to take a drivers safety class.

From CBS Sports

Carter left the scene of the crash for more than an hour before returning to the scene and providing statements to police.

Did you ever leave the scene of a fatal crash?

Well you didn't assist in killing people either I assume

I bet his agent/coach/whatever told him to go back or your career is OVER

The question you have to ask is if it were you do you think you'd just have to take a drivers safety class.

If the Eagles take him they better have done a bunch of due diligence and have a ton of character clauses in his contract.

Right.. with 2 college teammates already here...I would think they would have more info than any other NFL team.

Sure paid him a fortune in guaranteed money for a third season

4th season really...2026.

I just think it's rather DUMB to sign a 32 year old linemen for 4 more years, especially when you are ready to sign your QB to his first big contract

He said 2,I will hold him to that. After 2 more years he' is getting old and I would like to replace a pro bowl RT with another one(which is entirely possible with a new Jonhson 🤣). Jurgens will be at C soon,Paris can play at RG until his time at RT comes

Yes, but contract goes to 2026... that's a big pay day.   4th year... I know he said 2 years..but now with that extension,  I'm guessing he leans toward years 3 and or 4.   But we still need OL help. So I'm not opposed to OL. I just think DL is going to be the preferred pick.

He didn’t hit them and cause their death. Think the blame more needs to go towards the Georgia staff. Wasn’t it a recruiting coach/specialist that was driving and caused the fatal accident? Also it was said there was a third car leaving the bar. What about that player?

Lane will be 34 in 2 years,he should be replaced then if he chooses not to retire. We all keep saying we want youth yet keep clinging to the old guys

Yeah....Kelce and Lane specifically,  I will hold onto until they retire... barring a slip in play.  But 2 guys who don't let your QB get touched....AT ALL... I'm not looking to move on from.  Drafting guys to fill in or backup... is smart.  But they stay starting for me if they play at an elite level.

Yeah that's a stretch for me to say he can still play at this level 4 years from now. IDK why we did it really. I could see a series of 1 year ones due to his age,but now we locked ourselves in especially with the high guarantee

If you are competitve racing that is more than just speeding. he is therefore an accessory to the fatality. he wasn't charged with that because of WHO HE WAS. The cop on the scene even admitted it

Well like I said maybe we move him to RG(in time). I mean we're forced to pay him,but it'doesn't say where he plays

That’s most athletes, honestly. Not many like Hurts.

Who on the Eagles would you consider character flaws?   Plenty like Hurts... we can stop kissing his arse now...he is the starter and about to get paid. We move on now to put the best team around him.   The kid from Georgia... doing a little research, only seems to show the driving as an issue.

The combine and pro day, you can easily see where the whole accident took its toll on him.    Get that out of the way and everything else seems OK.  But that's their job to investigate.

My concern was his mindset of being a teammate. I didn't like the idea of "leaving the scene to avoid getting in trouble"  that doesn't seem the case.

Selfishness is a bigger concern for me in team sports.  Stupidity or immaturity...that should go away with time... Selfishness to me is more to the core of the person.

Draft paris,he can start at RG,later him and lane can switch spots 🙄

He left for an hour and the people in the crash went to Georgia also. Didn't seem like he cared much until someone told him to go back or his career was over

Even worse

If he is putting Hurts at risk, I can't continue to start him at RT. maybe RG since I'm paying his antique butt anyhow(but that is alot for a G)

He could have been charged much harsher than he was. Cop even admitted he didn't want the publicity,so IDK. personally I don't need the distractions and his court date is close to draft day(the 14th if I recall) IDK just seems like a punk to me
