Obviously they went to talk to him again and he wasn't there. So just a bad character in my view. Maybe he grows out of it,that's the chance any team will take drafting him

But what happens when he gets a boatload of money???

You said there were no witnesses left

None that were there start to finish

"I saw 2 cars racing and 1 crashed" doesn't exactly tell you who goaded whom does it? It's his word against noone because they are both dead

Why would he retire and give up 30 million?

You guys don't get the $30 million.  The 30 million is the new guaranteed money.  You don't think he makes that in 2 years?  Part of it was the salary converted to bonus ..then there was more money added in year 4.  All done to lower the cap.

I get the cap space, but why would he retire and give up 30 million? If we knew he wasn't going to play then why offer it???

To use as a tool to lower the cap space.  If he plays year 4, there is no way the Eagles pay him that money.  They will redo thst year.   But it enables them to guarantee money the next 2 years and lower the cap hit.

Not what CBS reported

Right.. they didn't report the whole story at first.

It enables Rosie to push the cap hits to the future. I don’t have to look into any of the details of the contract and I’d bet big on that fact.

If he was released and they knew where he would be a warrant would NOT have been issued. Not hard to understand

You need to warrant to arrest someone that is charged.  Really?  Come on now with this basic stuff.

Water is wet.. no kidding.   But Lane didn't have guaranteed money...this does thst the next 2 years.   The last year won't get paid out if he retires or they release him.  It's just there to make the numbers look good.

The warrant was issued because they did not know his whereabouts because he LIED about it. A warrant was issued in the event he was a flight risk. He DID turn himself in AFTER he found out a warrant was issued

When you are charged... the police come to your house to arrest you.  They need a warrant to do it legally.  Even if they know where you are.

If he is putting Hurts at risk, I can't continue to start him at RT. maybe RG since I'm paying his antique butt anyhow(but that is alot for a G)

He was the best RT in football last year. O linemen seem to last longer than other positions.

Odd but true

A warrant was issued days or weeks later.  He wasn't arrested that night of the accident?

Wow you really miss details here.

See where it says "he lied"?

Again... context here... the way its written here leads one to believe it all happened like this order...which was not in the report after all the facts came out.

You mean he didn’t have MORE guaranteed money. Got guaranteed money when he signed his contract. Got more when he restructured.

Right, the cop should have placed him under arrest right there, but didn't want the publicity(he said so himself). The arrest warrant came after he could not be located because he lied to them(another misdemeanor he should be charged with)

Arrest him for what?  The cop didn't see anything.

Yes...he got the guaranteed money now.  That is the $30 million total guaranteed $$.

Maybe I should actually look it all up with Lane? Nahhh…too much. Feel like I have enough in memory to get this much of the details. You guys reminded me he’s under contract for three more years.
