Really JMO,I see no reason to take a G when we can draft a T that can play G for now. IDK that Torrence can play OT. If you draft an OT that can play G right away,it's like getting 2 for 1(BOGO)

This is where they go after their guy.   Remember Dickerson... " I don't get why they got an injured center " etc.

I'm not even worried about it, absolutely ZERO chance they draft an OL without Stout's approval...  listening to Howie pretty much confirms that.

Point I was making is why consider a guy who can only play G.Instead at and OT that can play G now, then take over fr lane later. I don't believe Torrence can replace Lane. A guy like Dewand Jones or Paris COULD although I can see Paris go before we pick, but DeWand should be around. If we let Zay go by us,the I suppose Kraft at TE could be a nice consolation receiver. That would require faith in Quez this year

When Kelce retires,Jurgens can take over at that spot, the drafted OT can start at G,take over for Lane. We would have 2 more years to find another OT/C/G when the draft pick takes over for Lane. Doing it this way would be minimal impact in my view. SO IDK what the order ends up being,I just sense EDGE will be the first pick and I think we take an OT/G not just a G/or C/G. I have a man crush on Zay however. His impact would be immediately felt. I think we take the 10 pick, maybe move down from 30. Could use that pick for Kraft, but no Zay if we moved back. So many ways to go here. I feel we can still contend for the division,so expecting a low pick next year in the late 20's. We have some young guys that need to step up. Some are wasting roster space. Other than our starting 3 WR's the room is very weak,so there's the case for Zay. Maybe pick up another teams cuts after the draft. Quez and a FA would be nice BU's for this year

https://gobearcats.com/sports/football/roster/tyler-scott/10856 If we pass on Zay,here is my next choice that can be had later. We may do this anyhow(wait I mean). Even with a trade back it's possible to add this kid.

Darnell Wright I like a alot. He can play both G and T. He protected my boy Hooker. Start at G take over for Lane later. He would need to be the 30 pick. He falls between Paris(round 1) and DeWand Jones(round 2)

I mean... what's the difference?   Eventually the Right side needs to be replaced...what's the difference in what order?  Kelce and Lane are starters, why not get the better RG first...then get the RT next year if that's the way the BPA according to Stout goes????

So...let's review.

2024 Kelce retires... Jurgens plays C.

Lane retires 2025 or 2026... then the new OT goes to RT.

So now we need to replace a RG.

But it's imperative that the guy who plays RT...needs to play 2 years at RG first?   Even though it's possible that Stout thinks another guy can just play RG better and would have had him for those 2 years?  Then just get the guy to play RT later?

Because IDK when there will be a nice OT draft next, you? OG's aren't that hard to find

If you'd bother to check the 2024(probable) draft class you will see many G's where I assume we will pick next time if we get to post season. The TWO(maybe 3) OT's in the next draft will be out of our reach(unless we suck or tank),so you get while the getting is good. You talk about the future,so look there. This is the year to take an OT at least as I see it. Maybe you see it different-whatever.If Lane goes down who do we have?? I'll take the 2 fer

Idk either... but I'm not passing up the player Stout likes better.   Either way I'm going to let him decide which OL we get.

Especially if we draft DL or anything other than OL first...  I would imagine the top OTs go earlier than our 2nd pick, so in that case I assume at top tier G is maybe still there?

But Stout is picking the guy, and I'm good with it.

Lol... what about the 2025, 2026, 2027 drafts ... are we checking those years too?   Just trust Stout... he will select and develop the right guy(s)

LOL,sure tell me what our needs will be each of those years and I can check

BTW a very good WR will be available next draft. We won't be in position to get him either(marvin harrison jr)

Watched Abanikanda(or whatever) the RB from Pitt. Liked what I saw,but we have no round 4 picks(yet)

I think a tool we use this year to get a couple of players post draft..  we can trade some picks in next year's draft similar to getting CGJ and Quinn.    We are in excellent position for that.

But I still think there are a few of you that need everything done by the draft.   But will be impossible to draft future RT, Edge, DT, WR, RB, 3rd string QB, S, LB and CB... plus throw in a punter.

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/howie-roseman-goes-trade-crazy-adding-picks-roobs-eagles-only-mock-draft  🤣 He talks about history, then turns around and mocks a DB at 12 🤣  I'd love to trade back to 12 and still get Van Ness(entirely possible) He does have the same WR addition I have in round 2  Tyler Scott would be a nice consolation prize for not taking Zay,but this sounds like what Howie would do

Have a doc appt, but I will have fun playing with this mock.

Clueless

https://godeacs.com/sports/football/roster/a-t--perry/6814  I am intrigued by this kid. he's a BIG WR. Played the X at Wake, but maybe he can play the slot? He's like a fast TE and a HUGE target at 6'5"

He's pretty much a match-up nightmare. He can play slot or out(X,Y,Z) He is flying under the radar. NP taking him at 94

A bunch of local media want this RB.    Fantasy football.

Could also just be leaning on the side of a ‘Hit!’ As opposed by an early first round miss.

For me The Big Board probably reads: Anderson, Carter, Wilson…..then you have the DB rankings. Gonzales, Weatherspoon, Porter and Branch.
