That latest mock has Eagles trading down both spots.    4 rounds of the draft... 6 players... DT, RB, S, Edge, S and OL.    The RB from Alabama seems the type of target we loom for in RB.   Also gets us another 1st rounder next year from Minnesota.

If that's the case, we can look back at the Saints desperation leading to a really huge haul.

I would add WR in there also. I doubt we take one high, but the room is weak other than the starters. pascal is gone, Quez underperformed this year. I also like the TE from Michigan. Rough around the edges, but a perfect kid to develop(Schoonmaker)

I don’t see an Oline player worthy of top ten this draft.

BTW if the Bears are serious about Fields, they will take an OT at pick 9 IMO. Kid needs both weapons and protection,he can't do it all alone

My guess is an OSU teammate.   OT or WR.

Happy Easter

FWIW-the 9ers have 3 round 3 comp picks. Still alot of nice players there

IDK I suppose the FO has to run mocks in some fashion I would think. You have to have an idea who would be around when you pick. No sense putting guys on your board you can't have. Also reasons to make trades if your target player is gone or you need to move up for a guy you want that you know another team will take. I assume all teams do this.you can't just go in winging it

Rosie has to do it…no doubt. How he knew he could trade back….then had to trade up to get DeVonta Smith. The Gmen would have taken him.

Right, what I was saying,so mocks can't be something you disregard. IDK any place that bats 1000 there. Everyone has different views on what's needed in what order and personal player preference. Just watching the visits to this point kind of gives you direction. Interesting they met with the TX RB LONG before he had even dropped down the rank list. SO they knew he would be a player they could get at 10. I still think it's a trade back and we take Van Ness with the first pick(whenever that ends up being) I'm just seeing an overload of good players(some that need a little honing before starting),so like Joe,I see both picks being traded back for that slew of ""above average" players in the 50-70- range. Even with the trade back I still see our first 2 as starters, but we need to not move back TOO far. Once again someone is feeding the FO a mock so they can "educated guess" who to trade with and how far back they can go while still getting their man

When did you live in Hudson? I was born in what is now Silver lake(no name back in 1956) moved to Akron in 1960. Moved to FL in 1994.  Really nice area when I was growing up. Yeah pity they didn't make it,remember them both well. Band played at Filthy Mcnasty's in Kent, the Dome,Rathskeller also. IDK when you lived there. Lots of fun back then. My first honeymoon was in the Poconos at a place called Cove Haven. it's still there too(that was 1978) I got a ticket driving in PA because I was going 57 in a 55 zone(unbelievable) No mercy LOL

Happy Easter Eagles nation!!!!!!

Really been thinking this is going to be a really telling year for Siri.

One of the biggest test for a good HC is how well can you restaff after getting poached. And Siri job was even made harder being the first team in like over a decade to lose both Coordinators.

I have high hopes for our former QB coach can’t say I’m overly thrill for Desai as DC though but how do they perform what does this team look like without our OC Steichen(who was huge) and even Gannon who got a ton of hate but fielded a good unit

I was there around ‘86. Was at the AFC Championship game the ended with unbelievably harsh heartbreak for the Brownies. Elway went 98 yards to tie the game and take it to OT. Broncos win on a field goal that was no good …that the refs gave them. Crushing defeat! Much worse than the holding call this past game…trust me.

1) Panthers (pheebthegoose): QB Bryce Young
2) Texans (Phoenix X Minimus): QB C.J. Stroud
3) Cardinals (alwaysaphillyfan): EDGE Will Anderson
4) Colts (eaglenomics): QB Anthony Richardson
5) Seahawks (The Player Formerly Known as Mousecop): DT Jalen Carter
6) Lions (Sam2TheMaximum): DE Tyree Wilson
7) Raiders (joey2arms): OT Paris Johnson Jr.
😎 Falcons (Kephas): CB Christian Gonzalez
9) Bears (chewy wellington): OT Peter Skoronski
10) Eagles (Philly21)

On BGN they are doing  fan mock. We pick next. The first 9 picks I feel are correct, but I see a move from a team for QB 4(no trades in this mock). Philly 21 is on the clock at 10. If this is the situation(well add in another QB to this list),then Van Ness should go around 15 somewhere,so I would be looking for a 3-4 spot trade back if that indeed is out top target. Njigba sitting here also, but I still feel we go edge(doesn't have to be Van Ness either)

Yes,I lived through "the drive" also LOL. Most fun team was the 1980 Kardiac Kids with Brian Sipe at QB. Some weird stat about they won 8 games in the last 3 minutes(memory if I recall) that year. Only clowns team that was "exciting" to watch

That brought in a RB and a G. Traded for a top WR. Traded away the top pick obviously choosing to be serious about Fields. The questions surrounding Fields are many. If the Bears had a top Oline would/could Fields become a stud pocket guy? Don’t really think it’s his game. They’ve been sticking to a fairly obvious plan that I see. Cleared their cap. Building up the right way, if Fields is a better Franchise option than any in this year’s class(I have serious doubts about that). I suspect their draft to hit huge on offense. Then they have the young tools to long term grow with Fields. The G they brought in is a stud run blocker, previously for the Titans Henry. I wouldn’t go all out towards the passing game if I was them. They are setup to dominate rushing the ball. Fields likes to rollout to pass. So I’d consider these factors when deciding on what T to choose. WR I’d expect them to grab also. I personally don’t see either position having a worth top ten talent available this weak draft class. So trading back would be the wise decision for them. Coming to that conclusion isn’t favorable for us. Having the 3 pick going to trade back. I suspect 9 and 10 wanting to trade back.

Last year everybody knew Rosie was going to trade out a first round pick. Did decent on the deal. Many here seemed to really be fans of the return. But moving on to this10th pick situation now…..just don’t want to force the trade. Be great if a team really comes charging towards us to overpay for the pick. But I’m saying they go hard for the 3 first. Competition I expect to be heated for that trade. Great position for Gannon to be in Zona. Believe the Panthers really were smart and fast to charge for top pick. They easily could afford what they paid. Trade parties are going over us to the Bears first. We only pull of the trade if I’m correct in this situation by being the cheaper bargain.

So what is the play if trading back at 10 is a weak market? Especially if you feel, like me, that 10 turned out to not be quite high enough after all…this draft. Top Oline are short armed. Arguably G more than T. Arm length for Oline is something I really think is a huge measurable need. Critical feature.

WR draft classes have just been so strong for several years now. This class isn’t even close. Njigba or the TCU guy…or whomever you love as the top WR ….weak comparatively to all these previous classes. Nobody near a DeVonta Smith level this year in my mind. He wasn’t even the top WR his class.

So what can Rosie do? Actually consider trading up. If Tyree Wilson gets to 7 or 8. Huge difference in how I value his draft grade versus the dropoff after.

  • Author

I believe Wilson is second nonQB off the board however.

  • Author

Carter falling to us is best case scenario I see possible.

  • Author

But even with everybody trying to smokescreen blowup his worth to get him to fall to them..,I doubt he gets to us.
