FL you had no problem crushing Hurts with a pathetic WR corps early on. He’s a second round pick. Much later drafted than Fields. I’ve said much the same about Kyler Murray. Both have huge abilities. But aren’t the right Franchise Guys.

I never crushed Hurts. There are things I wanted to see in his growth as a QB,that;'s not the same thing. he showed my mthouse things this year(and why he will get the big contract) and I expect to see things from Fields now that they are weaponizing him

Can’t choke in the big moments though. Can’t do anything with those guys. If the goal is Lombardi.

Like dropping the ball in the SB?

I said the trade had to deliver a top ten pick this season to be worth it. Wanted to win the SB last season. So wanted all hands on deck. Having another first round talent felt hard to give up. Raiders, Bears and us are looking to trade back supposedly. Cards will trade back at 3. But the first three if that’s the case makes the trade market obviously weaker. If we are the only option to possibly trade with it clearly makes that pick worth more.

No we needed your S pick, you were against this from the start, now the story changes lol. PAGES of how this deal was so bad when we could have had that S. PAGES of it,but now it" I wanted a top 10?. We all kinda figured the Aint's would give us at LEAST that. In fact we were hoping for a 4-5. Howie is not stupid,if we traded for a KC round 1 pick you'd best believe that would be a 29-32 pic lol. So if we got pick 11,the trade would be back to "well that's stupid"

Anything is always possible. Everybody after us could be craving so badly to trade up that there or four teams all are willing to overpay. Odds are against it. Teams all bidding for 10 jumps the price. Then bidding fir 7, 9 and 10….lessons the market. Just basic economics really.

No you said teams will jump us,maybe they will and maybe a team picking at 23 wants the 10? Just because teams jump us doesn't mean we are not in a sweet spot

Not too mention Saints got Olave. We enabled them to make the run on WR to put us out. He actually was about the largest factor on O in the game we lost to them. First drive he made a few catches. Only thing their O did the whole game. We still got top seed. Won the NFC. So maybe that loss wasn’t much of a factor.

1 pick is a "run"????

How many of the guys considered the best…or second best…participate in all the combine drills? What’s to gain? He had an obvious serious distraction to handle. Now his Pro Day he weighed an extra 9 pounds. Less than ideal. But 9 pounds for a huge DT. Nothing that crazy. The coach working him out went really extra hard by most all accounts. So not even sure he failed his Pro Day that terribly. Didn’t kill it. But those two moments I don’t consider that damning on a guy that’s showed …playing real football…at the highest college level…to dominate. Comes down to do we have the right people in place to get him focused to work out. I believe we have near ideal setting for him. Rocker, Davis and Dean. With Hurts as our leader.

Yes "
college "level"  He is immature like ma college kid and if he can't mature and become a MAN he will fail like the others before him such as Manziel. I want football players, not kids I have to babysit with binkys to get participation from them. you like him, I think he's an accident(pun intended) waiting to happen. College ended on graduation day. BTW he took a plea deal,so he got off easy, Not going to start this CRAP all over again. if we take him you won't hear from me again because we have sacrificed character and I won't be a part of that

Forcing a player is the easiest way to fail. At 10 it’s real tough for me to go against BPA. Few exceptions. QB. RB. Probably LB.

SO once again who is the "BPA" at 10. Because someone ranked them there?? What is the BPA DE vs the BPA WR, how can you compare 2 totally different positions? You can't,so your BPA flies out the window. I would opt for BFA-best FIT available

Agree with you on some of that.  I think he took the plea deal because it was obvious that he was racing on the footage. They has him fo everything they could get him with...the speeding, racing, driving stuff.   That was it.  It would have wasted everyone's time to deny and bring those charges to court.   Other than the driving there wasn't anything else he could be charged with according to the facts that came out on March 16th.

So I'll give you my answer.

BPA... team has a board with the order of players they would draft.   The one that is the highest when on the clock is their BPA.

It's the same when companies look to hire someone.   The " how do you compare the different positions" is easy... you envision your team with one player for the next 5-12 years.. one should be your preference.

IDK accessory to manslaughter. it would be hard to prove his involvement. He may have had a few beers(still under the limit but that would be damaging). So it never said what all he COULD have been charged with,it only said he accepted a plea deal which was smart. We'll never know what plea he dealt down from. I just don't like this at all. maybe this "scared him straight". For his sake I hope it did. maybe this was a "grow up" moment, yet again I would not wish to have a player on my team that keeps me up at night as a coach or owner.

Yes Ham talked about "reaches" Well how do you know who is a reach if those players are 2,3 spots away from where you pick. If the next guy at a position is in round 3 do you take the "reach" NEEDED BPA or do you say NO so he gets picked 2 picks later? Say we like Van Ness, but he is "ranked" 15th,but assume the next best edge guy is ranked at 35. You need an edge badly. Is player 15 (the one you need and he fits you fine) a "reach" or is it taking the player you wanted at 10? Say noone wants to trade your 10 pick,do you let player 15 go because he's not at 10? Even though he is a fit for your defense? Say noone will trade with you throughout the draft and you are "stuck" with the picks you have.If your 2nd and 3rd choice players are gone at 30,but your round 3 4th choice is there at 30,so you take the 62 player at 30? I hope not. So BPA. You have a mountain you want to climb. You also have a flat racetrack, but you need to get over the mountain to get to it. Which do you choose first, the Jeep or the Ferrari? They are both great for what they were built to do,but which is the best vehicle available when you need to scale the mountain to get to the flat track? Both are on my list of needs. If someone buys the jeep before I do,I may not need the Ferrari, but I will take it and stick it in my garage until I can get a jeep. So that is how I view BPA. If I take the Ferrari I better know there is a jeep, maybe not the toughest jeep, I can get down the line. How many Jeeps are in this draft vs how many Ferraris. So all these 'reach" stats mean little to me. I mean I don't expect Howie to take a round 4 guy at 10,but you need an overall plan with a board that changes. I assume this is why round 1 is all alone. It gives teams 24 hours to rearrange their boards. "Well I missed the WR I wanted, then we had a need for C",so the board could change and your 2nd fav WR gets moved up the board and maybe that#2 WR is more needed than your #1 C of course these are things we never get too see happen. I can't just make one list and say OK here is my board and hold to it,you have to be flexible enough to change it and have alternative plans of attack. So I view it more as a chess board where after day 1 you need to maybe move your priority players around

It's tough to figure out which QB you think would fumble and give the opponent a free 7 points in the Superbowl.

Mahomes threw four interceptions his first two SB.

These Hurts haters are just insatiable! Can’t believe how they almost are fighting to pint any finger at him to discredit still. They started with can’t possibly let their hero Wentz go. Hurts just got lucky with teams not having pro film on him. He lost the starting job in college. So him taking over they try and tear him down by stats. Completion percentage for one. No cap money. Arguably weakest WR league wide.

  • Author

Hurts gets us to the playoffs. Rallying after such a terrible losing record start. So they throw their negative darts at the missing players or quality of professional opponent.

  • Author

Tampa eats the team alive in practically every phase. So they use that to prove how Hurts really accomplished nothing. Called the running QB. Endlessly attacked about his completion percentage numbers. Just flagrantly clowning his arm strength.

  • Author

So then they plan on setting up the next draft to plan for aquiring their REAL QB. Say it’s a prove it year for Jalen. Like actually thinking: prove he’s a legit starting NFL QB.

  • Author

Second place to Mahomes just insane statistical season for MVP. Team literally can’t do crap without Hurts carrying the team to win every single time. Hurts puts up what? 35 freaking points. Our RBs that completely dominated all year…disappear. D that dominated almost all year….nothing.

  • Author

P shanks away the game.

  • Author

I mean….can pin the blame on almost anybody on our team and even D coaching. The last guy to be able to point at his Hurts. Unreal game! Had to do everything! Just showing how some just will never admit they’ve been wrong. QB1 for us was the best player on the field that day. Not even close.

  • Author

Just pathetic! What game did you see? The one I watched….most our players underachieved or worse. Top DBs didn’t make a single play. Got beat by average talented pass catchers. Had a late pick rusher do plenty of damage. Didn’t really do much at all to Mahomes. Record setting deep Dline the preaching endlessly calls for….stunk. Not much pressure. Gave up to much on the ground. Sanders it seemed was possibly already hurt too much to be effective. I originally thought that first play maybe he just had his injury he had been nursing late in the season seemingly just give out on him. Gainwell did a little bit. Oline gave up two sacks. Had the false start that forced the play to even exist in the first place. Then had a poorly blocked execution on the fumble. P shanks a returned kick by a guy that I don’t think had ever done much of anything but fair catch in his career. Coverage doesn’t make up for his mistake.

  • Author

Quez drops the big pass. I mean if all our players and coaches…..like eight guys showed up. Steichen, Hurts, Smith, Brown, Elliot, Johnson and Mailata. Rest of the team played terribly. The whole game. But those Hurts haters gotta point to one play that never should have existed due to anything on Hurts. Oline penalty. Guy had a game for the ages. Season that completely left haters with nothing to even try and spin against him. Just the one play he was forced to try and manufacture O…again. 24 year old guy! One fumble.  35 points with no D or RB help. Freaking kidding me about this.

Let’s don’t forget the leagues blame. They screwed us! Fixed the field conditions to favor Mighty Mahomes!

NFL grounds chief set it all up. I mean the SodFather quit over the BS.

They got him for everything they could.  Period. Case closed and move on.  The issue going forward is the driving.

Again... you aren't listening to my BPA.   BPA = the Eagles big board... when it comes time to draft its the guy at the top of the list.   It's not complicated really.
