What does the Philly special have to do with anything?    But I am confused.   Tackle eligible... usually that's the OL lined up on the end of the line and gets a pass from the QB?   As I said, I'm good with that.   Are you saying put him in the backfield????  Like a running back?  I'd be more for him or an OL used as a FB in that case, but if you want to give him the ball once... lets do it so we can end the discussion.  Dillard ay G, I don't why you don't see it's going against logic Dude is built like a OT.. he's a finesse OT... tall and skinny type... the scouting report is he struggles vs the bull rush and he didn't run block much in college.    On top of that Semaulo has looked really good and Herbig has looked pretty good.  Brooks you can argue is the best G in the league... although I like the guy in Indy.   On top of that we are thin at OT .. so deep at G, thin at OT... a dude built perfectly for OT, and not good for G... struggles at what you want your G to be good at, but naturally good footwork for a T.    I mean... sure, lets try it, or we go into the season ... with Brooks, Semaulo with Herbig as the backup.... and a Lane, Mailata, Dillard group at OT.  3 T and 3 G instead of 4 G and 2 T?

IDK... I think it would be awesome if we could say out future bookends were Dillard and Mailata... would solve a lot.  My guess is they try that for sure, with the key having Mailata being able to play swing for a season or two until Lane retires or they let him go.  That would be ideal, and at this point, they don't have to hand the job to Dillard if Mailata develops, they can play the best one there while Lane is still here.  IDK.. but probably if Mailata wins, and Driscol shows he can play, they may trade Dillard.  Or maybe Driscol starts conversion to C?  Who knows?

I can agree with you on this, however.Dillard has played very little, there is still room to coach his shortcomings you mention.Even if it fails,he has learned what other G"s have learned and knowledge is power. He could incorporate some of those 'style changes" into being a  better OT if that is his calling.I'm just tossing thoughts out here.Food for thought.NP,you can agree or not, thats why we are all here.I just want a SET LINE,the same 5 every week. Wentz needs this to get his timing down and REALLY expose the weakest link.Moving guys round for every game doesn't really help you do that.Coach would know, then just say "this is your job,do your job" and stop moving them everywhere.THEN we can see what we need to do

I was fine with moving Mailata over to RT if Lane can’t play but sounds like Mailata might get benched if Lane can play can’t say I agree with that move

The #Eagles want to keep a close eye today in practice with Dallas Goedert, Jalen Reagor, T.J. Edwards, Malik Jackson. They’ve all had a good week of preperation per Pederson. They want to push them today and see how they come out to determine if they can play Sunday

I think using a split between Hightower and Reagor is more about Reagor's conditioning and getting integrated back into the offense more than it is a larger commentary on them as football players for the long run.

I like how Hightower is progressing. Like you I would like to see a mix of assets. GIves D's more to plan around.I hope Reagor is successful and stays on the field. That would go a long way for those who think we keep Dajx another year(yeah those people exist lol)

If Sanders is still out(which seems to be the indication) this is a good game to let him heal.Scott should do fine against a suspect Dumbtch D line.IDK about their QB.Someone posted a vid,but I did not watch it.Still it's his first NFL start and we need to "welcome" him to the NFL lol

Think Geodart being able to play would be the biggest boost to our O.

I think it would be Sanders, but when both guys are back we should be hitting on all cylinders.

I was more or less solely looking at the passing game aspect and Dallas game...Sanders is great out the backfield threat to catch the ball but Geodart gives us something we have been lacking since basically he went out an actual threat at TE.

On top of that think Geodart aids Sanders when he returns as well he is easily our best blocking TE on the team underrated part of his game.

This is why I hold out HOPE lol.OK it's a ****vision.SO? At playoff time everyone is 0-0.get guys back, peak at the right time and who knows? it's not like we haven't been underdogs before(I still have my dog mask lol)

I have not hidden how much a like Sanders I’ve called him a stud since last season I’d put his name right in the ring with Zeke and Barkley.

I hope so.I would love to make millions and play 3 games a year

I want to see this O healthy man it could be scary good.

Sanders in the backfield

Geodart, Reagor, Hightower, Ward, Fulgham catching passes

Lane Johnson healthy, Semaulo back more stability on the OL to protect Wentz

We have seen glimpses of this O that it can be dangerous but fully healthy 30+ could be a reality.

I feel bad for Djax he is done here that is for sure. I hate to see any player get hurt on an unnecessary hit like he got hit on laying on the ground play over.

IDK,another thought. If Mailata works at LOT,I would be up for trading Dillard for a LOG(or maybe a decent young LB) and some other minor compensation if Dillard has to sit,or we could keep him as a BU to both Mailata and lane..I think Dillard has talent, just not sure of his ceiling since we don't see him much. When he played,I felt he was "ok",but I see a much higher ceiling with Mailata. So we have options,I would just like to see some "final" decisions made, instead of shifting players every game in panic mode

Why is there such a massive focus on our G spots all of a sudden think we are good at G this year is odd because of massive string of injuries but 2021 think our OL is fine.

LT-Mailata/Dillard battle it out

LG-Semaulo/Herbig

C-Kelce(if he retires possibly Semualo here)

RG-Brooks top 3 G in the game maybe the best

RT-Lane top 3 RT in the game maybe the best

Yeah, this is what I have been trying to say.Peters at LOG,for me,makes the most sense. He is used to the left side and knows alot of opponents players on that side having played against them  andhe could help mailata IN GAME with adjustments and those little things a probowler knows.Let the battle be for ROG.We will have to replace JP next year(maybe but what if he succeeds at LOG? He could squeeze another year out, even if in a BU role),but for me the battle THIS year should be for ROG,we can worry about LOG next year, but everyone calls me crazy and says that won't work,or we should not try it.So whatever, but Stine sees it nearly the same way I do

We’ve been trying to squeeze another year out of Peters for four or five years now. Enough. He can’t make it through even a decent amount of a season anymore. Not playing at a Hugh level even when he is on the field. Find to find better options. Been long past time as far as I’m concerned.
I don’t mean any disrespect to an absolute stud player for us...just think that well has dried up

Yeah, once again, getting bashed for a "differing view".After watching him toss 300 pound guys like they weighed 85 pounds,my thoughts were "hey let's put a smile on this guys face and let him truck some people" and I want a poster of that smile in my man cave.if we tried it once successfully, you now can call him eligible at a later time and NOT USE him.But now teams have to set a D for him at the GL(called a decoy if I recall)

Your wanted pictures of guys smiling in your man cave is private business that I don’t want to hear about.

I was rather surprised we re-signed him.We had talked the year before about him playing OG one more year(career stretch).but he had us over a barrel and used his leverage.I don't like ;players that do that.Negotiating is one thing, extortion is another. If it was me he would ride pine all year despite the error Howie made paying him

yeah but since we already paid him(sadly) put him on the LOG spot, let him work with Mailiata, give him IN GAME tips and tell him(JP) "you bring Mailata along and we would consider you for a coaching spot next year".I can think of worse guys to have on the Oline coaching staff

I was reading on this hypothetical trade would you guys take it think the 2nd rounder could be a steep price think we need the draft capital and not sure anyone we are getting is a long term answer for us.

I don't see Alshon coming back either.Pity he didn't play some so we could trade him.Now I have no clue what happens with him.but I like the young guns we have.I would add another next draft(in round 4 although we have no pick there as of now).Round 4 guys are ones that aren't there yet,but have upside and have enough talent to work with. There is a nice DL guy we could take in round 1,or as you know I am in for parsons at LB. But there are a few decent LB's,so maybe DL is the way to go in 1,LB in 2,CB in 3.We gotta start rebuilding this defense.I am also eyeballing who KC lets walk if they keep Bell.AR has a nice team of coaches developing RB's and I would not hesitate to snag any of his rejects

Absolutely am against this. We cannot afford to give up draft capital in the first 3 rounds. We need to start adding young talent with Low $$$ to help on the Cap issues....

Dillard is a heck of a talented LT. Don’t think he can play any other position however. Mailata we haven’t seen enough of. I think most(myself included) think he only gets better with experience at this point. Maybe Dillard on the Left and Mailata on the right is more a long term answer. I’ve suggested it before. I’m pretty sure No Mas was discussing this at some point as well.

Kelce is near done. Your statement was about 2021. And to that you probably are right. I can’t envision Kelce playing three more seasons. He’s still durable and very effective. Answers the bell every week. But....it is time(next season) to think about his replacement. Seumalo...Herbig...maybe we already have the answer. Nothing can screw up the whole offense like a C that is terrible. So assuming one of those guys takes over at C then we lose a G.
Brooks has a track record. No need to say more. Seumalo has shown himself serviceable at LG. Herbig looksservicable at both G spots. But if one moves to C then we just have two starting G and not much in the backup dept. Timing is bad to stand up for Pryor. But I actually think he’s decent on the right side. They moved him around too much this offseason and threw him off track. Hopefully the rest of this season will be enough for him to get back on track at RG(optimistically RT as well). Opeta I like more than Brown. Neither seems worthy of a roster spot however. PS level only.
So I can see adding to the Oline this offseason. I believe there are many ways to solve the puzzle to make us a great team. Trading Lane....or Brooks...or both...are ideas I’d consider for the right price. Good or great players are the ones that can bring good or great returns. Shedding those salaries could enable many options for us. Could we be a better team as a whole with Mailata at RT and Herbig at RG? I’m not suggesting these players should win out versus the starters. I’m talking value. Cheaper options that can be serviceable starters with upside and give us money to improve the rest of the team could be what’s best for the team as a whole.
