For the record...I don't care to keep score about this kid...   I'm just trying to get these conversations to move forward and have substance.

Football is by far the best sport to discuss.   So many things are involved.... so many positions, so many coaches,  different styles...etc.

I feel it's weak to not answer in football specifics when trying to come off like some kind of sage or something.   "In my superior knowledge than you I predict this "    now I'm not going to give any particular reason though.   So we can't really have a discussion on it.

It's odd for someone who comes off trying to make the simplest things complicated....not giving a simple football reason and putting something out to discuss, doesn't make sense?

Sorry I can’t wrap it in a nice little tidy bow to appease you. He was top player in his state coming out of high school. Not like his arm is terribly weak. Not like he’s thrown too many interceptions. He has good mobility…or did before this latest injury. Just me sharing my opinion based on many years of following the game. Sorry if that isn’t good enough for you. Just don’t see the whole package working out to become a successful pro. Take it or leave it. Just don’t use college success at advanced age or draft position to point at me being inaccurate.

Idk... you don't think players plateau?  Usually the ones who don't make it in the league are the guys that peaked at the college level... whether it's 22 or 25 why does it matter.

Unless you are saying that he can't get much better now because he is already 25?  That's a different idea...but one I would counter with Kurt Warner.

He peaked at 25 which he was gifted the opportunity to be afforded still in college.

A scheme specific type player with is running that type scheme he would fit with

So who fits?  We need to know soon. Show me the RG who has the traits you seek, who is better than Torrence,I am still waiting for this answer and have asked OVER and OVER again, give me a name and tell me the traits Torrence doesn't have'

Exactly

So therefore any player drafted can't transition to the NFL,so why do we draft them?

This is what I’m dealing with. Great for the Vols. Still equals zero accomplishments in the NFL.

Just like any other draftee

Why do you think Bijon will be a good pro?   What about his game do you think will translate to the NFL?

Bryce Young,#1 QB,good for Bama, can't transition to the NFL

So no reason again.  I guess it is what it is.

Did he peak though?  That's what we need to see.

But why can't you give a reason or reasons?

Let's say you hosted a football talk show.   You can't just  say this guy will or won't be good...and offer no reasons.   You get zero ratings for that nor would you be able to discuss.

Hurts...

5 years 255 million...179 guaranteed

Looking forward to seeing some other details...  it's a  5 year extension to 2028.   The signing bonus gets used this year which lowers the cap hits going forward.

No trade clause.... but to me no big deal.... they are trying to compare to Wentz but let's be honest... Wentz wanted out,so wouldn't have mattered.   I'm sure they can cut him if needed in 3 years or so.    Probably when there will be a designed restructure.

5 years 255m for Hurts 110m fully guaranteed and a no trade clause(first in Eagles history)

Seeing some details now.... $23 mil initial signing bonus....$126 mil first 2 years...  179 guaranteed... will be interesting to see how the details of each cap hit and I'm sure multiple signing bonuses etc... plus Ham's favorite the backloaded 2028 season...lol.

So my guess looking at these #s

Cap hit should be $9 mil this year

Cap hit should be about 30 mil next year

From there I'm sure it's going to reset in 2025.

How far things have come in such a short time. One year ago I’m just trying to convince fans here Hurts is clearly our starting QB. Highest paid player in the league now….whoa Nelly!

Amazingly the highest paid player in the league….yet it’s a team friendly deal.

Stop already....you called it. Move on now, take the win like a grown up and let's get back to talking Eagles.   It's a great opportunity to show maturity and prove the board wrong.

But let's be honest...  he really isn't the highest paid player in the league right.

It's a 5 year extension... meaning  over 6 years.  The smart move ...the Eagles move....no waiting until the rookie contract is done...no tags etc.    Watch how low the cap hits are these next 2 years.  That's your boy " Rosie" and his staff.   Which IMO his staff doesn't get enough credit for the details

That all said... I'm looking for another receiving weapon added to upgrade Quez.   RPO ...  the idea Bijan takes pressure off of Hurts...teams play Bijan and Hurts then has to keep the ball.... give him another WR and he passes more and less chance of getting hit.

Dak...  cap hits

2023 # $26.8 mil

2024 ... $59 mil

2025 ... $36 mil

Let's see Hurts cap hits in relation... hopefully now you end up seeing why the cap management is way better Eagles style vs Dallas style.

Not bad for a weak armed running QB only capable of leading a college offense.

Much better than Ziggy Anzah..

. what are your thoughts on pick 10.    All of a sudden I'm hearing half the league wants to trade up to 9 and take Carter...lol.

I don't like no trade clauses-whatever. We are setting ourselves up like what they did in AZ with Murray(basically they are screwed until he can play again

Maybe he’ll appease you and finally learn how to pass by then
