Dak...  cap hits

2023 # $26.8 mil

2024 ... $59 mil

2025 ... $36 mil

Let's see Hurts cap hits in relation... hopefully now you end up seeing why the cap management is way better Eagles style vs Dallas style.

Hopefully at some point you’ll learn there are two sides to negotiations. Wasn’t the best for Hurts bank account to accept this five year extension making him the highest paid player.

So now,no more drops in the SB. We're paying him now LOL

This is comical here.I'm sure he makes more than he did????

Now he needs to run less. If he gets hurt,we are in the same boat as AZ has with Murray. The RG spot becomes a tad more important now that we have money to protect

Just so very happy to retain such a high character fantastic leader for our guys to follow for years to come.

We all figured around 50. They went with an extra mil. I'm fine with that. In 2-3 years this contract will be cheap. Not happy with the no trade clause, but onward we go

He has room to grow also. He hasn't peaked yet,so looking forward to more SB runs in the coming years

Had to accept the no trade clause with such a team friendly deal.

Stop already....you called it. Move on now, take the win like a grown up and let's get back to talking Eagles.   It's a great opportunity to show maturity and prove the board wrong.

But let's be honest...  he really isn't the highest paid player in the league right.

It's a 5 year extension... meaning  over 6 years.  The smart move ...the Eagles move....no waiting until the rookie contract is done...no tags etc.    Watch how low the cap hits are these next 2 years.  That's your boy " Rosie" and his staff.   Which IMO his staff doesn't get enough credit for the details

That all said... I'm looking for another receiving weapon added to upgrade Quez.   RPO ...  the idea Bijan takes pressure off of Hurts...teams play Bijan and Hurts then has to keep the ball.... give him another WR and he passes more and less chance of getting hit.

Man,I really think adding Zay Flowers would be very helpful. He is the top slot guy. Like I said reminds me of JJ (not quite as good but he's plenty good enough)

Yeah a trade off,but now we need to keep him upright for 5 years and he needs to take less risk now IMO. That's why keeping him in weaponry will be important

I still believe we go edge with our first pick, but now you have to think about Flowers at 30. Getting that top 3rd guy will give us the top WR group for at least 3 years. it would be a wise move

AJ,Smith,Flowers,Goedert as a group for 3 years

I thought Njigba was the top slot guy

No he is a wide out

I don't like no trade clauses-whatever. We are setting ourselves up like what they did in AZ with Murray(basically they are screwed until he can play again

Not at all..  Carr had a no trade clause.

Let's assume Wentz had one...he wanted out and went to the team e wanted anyway. Say he had a no trade clause.... we still would have gotten decent assets.... maybe a 2nd instead of a 1st ....but it's not an issue... dude will be here with top weapons the whole time, no reason for him not to perform at $$$ thats not going to be that great in 2 years.

I'm sure he could play slot if you asked him to,but that would have to be pick 1

I know, but then you have like AZ with Murray, they have to keep him even if he's not playing

Let's hope we give him a guy to where he doesn't need to QB draw on 3rd and 6.

https://drafttek.com/  At the top click "position rankings" then top left choose WR-S. That will show you the"techincally" slot guys". It's never set in stone, but those are the guys who are successful in the slot. As you can see there is a big drop off after Flowers as far as slots go

Coming out of the slot from what I’ve seen

Yeah mostly outside and as I said he can play slot if you asked him too. Most WR's can play the slot, but you are wasting his outside talent and he would need to be your first pick

He will never be the highest paid player.  This year he gets $23 mil.  The extension starts next year.  He won't be paid the most then either.

We all know it's the fluff # and not the reality. 255 over 6 years with your favorite thing of the backloaded 2028 season... when the details come out...perception will change.

Very first play he is outside lol. I watched OSU all my life

Nigba can play slot if you need him to,but Flowers is a "specialist" there
