It's great now looking around the league...  this is why you sign your QB early.  Every time. No exceptions.  Use the last year of the rookie deal as leverage.  Forget the dumb details of a few extra dollars.  Ultimately it means nothing.    

Kudos to Lurie ...every time since McNabb we have avoided the drama and the cap he'll that comes with waiting to sign the QB.  

Ultimately it doesn't really even matter if the QB turns out to be the guy... you weren't going to start over any time soon... worst case you take a big dead money cap hit year 3 and move on.   Looking at the Eagles roster... they won't have a bunch of 30 year olds on the roster in 3 years anyway... so they can take a big dead money hit if Hurts doesn’t pan out.  If he does,  you got him cheap... where he will want to renegotiate to get a raise..and you then lower his cap hit while giving him the raise. 

Basically the Eagles stay ahead of the cycle...where Dallas always chases and is behind.

Steven A... was not happy because it makes Lamar look bad now asking for more guaranteed money...lol.  

There is a real agenda by some in the media to really get Lamar paid.   Wonder what that agenda is based on... lol.
