Then adding to extra playoffs games added to the pool. World wide and US dollar inflation is on an incredible tear on its own.

She broke ground by getting th e deal done with Hurts. But financially it wasn’t fantastic job money managing. Good for us. Avoided all the hardships of dealing with an agent willing to put Rosie’s feet to the fire.

How was it not a good job by the agent?   You seriously need to stop acting like Hurts is the best player of all time with the long history of success.   The agent did a great job getting her guy paid... early!

Because no matter how much se fans wish to kiss the ground of every move Rosie makes…it takes the player and his agent to make it happen. Cousins was just a starter level QB option. But even he could force top money options. If the player and their agent choose not much any franchise can do to stop this. No matter how much praise sone want to throw at the GM. Hurts could have easily held out. Forced much more. Played more a waiting game knowing salaries are only rising. Really the key was Hurts agent wouldn’t have agreed to anything more than a three year extension. All the ways I tossed around the different options…the longer the extension the better for the organization not the player the deal was.

Lol... why would Hurts wait to get paid?    Spoken like someone who doesn't understand money and time value.

Hurts does the Ham style...  waits and makes the peanuts this year.  Then he does what...gets tagged or signs next year for a little more.  Let me ask you, in your genius methods did you ever think that by waiting you miss the next contract by a year as well... you never catch up to the money you lose by starting new each time.

Sure the team benefits... but Hurts is getting his coin.

It's not " Rosie"  ( for f#$KS sake stop with that 3 year old nickname)  being a genius...it's common sense business.  The Eagles are spending unnecessary money on Hurts this year...they are paying him unnecessary early.  He is under contract for peanuts this year.  They are trading the money now to jump ahead and use it vs the cap early.  In no way is Hurts taking less money in his pocket. It's just not counting as much vs the cap... good for both parties.

Not genius at all... just not cheapskate like some owners who want to puff their chest out like Snyder and Jerry " look how I got my QB on the cheap now"  Lurie pays early to save cap, not to screw the player.

Never known as the strong character football program

This is the biggest pile of BULL I have seen yet. You have no idea what you are talking about just spewing false GARBAGE.OSU has a very storied history of being one of the best football programs that ever existed,And one of the best schools,so stop your CRAP,you are full of it and it's disgusting. You can pound this fake trash up your freakin ARSE!!!!!

OSU program has always been getting tons of benefits. Never known as the strong character football program. For so many reasons. Football is god at that school. So it’s hilarious to have somebody be such a supporter of that program and actually try to preach against small infractions that other students are guilty of. But now that 2.4 mil that the college guy makes paying…I mean playing at OSU is legal. So it’s finally above board. College QB making more than our ‘Pro QB.’ Something very out of whack with this if you ask me.

You my friend are the biggest pieces of trash on the message boards. Put yourself in the bin and wheel yourself to the curb for pick-up

Never been a fan of the Buckeyes. Shady recruiting and beyond the law program for my whole life I can remember. That’s not even getting into what really has gotten under my skin about them. That’s how so many seasons they pad up their schedule with super cupcake teams…that only games can be played in Columbus, Ohio. So many seasons have gone by where they only have like one or two games that were even a real competitive matchup. Michigan and maybe Wisconsin. Coasting through living on their five star paid recruits. Win their one game a season to advance to the Big Ten Championship game. Practically just gifted their lofty ranking based on paper numbers. Not many real educated quality people have come out of this program. Mostly massively overrated team and players. Pump up numbers beating up Appalachian State, Akron and Youngstown South Community College.

Noone gives a **** if you are fan or not. Spewing false claims  shows me the kind of trash person you are. Now go F***** your plants you POS

More lies,unending supply of lies from you. Who makes the schedule??? Those other "powerhouse" teams play the same other teams or are you that stupid?

IDK where(or if) you graduated,but obviously they failed you. You are an obnoxious twit who cannot even answer a point blank question. Still waiting for your OSU all prison list. You had a few hours to compile it now,so let's list them along with the other "uneducated" people you deem yourself better than

Here is why Hurts was smart to sign now

Without signing

2023 salary was $4.3 mil

2024 franchise tag... about $35 mil

2025, can be tagged again for around 40 mil.

But forget 2025.. just focus on 2023 & 2024 making less than $40 mil

Hurts already has $23 mil added to his salary this year...  and what is the $$ he is earning in year 2???

For someone not to see where the team can use that leverage is just incredibly naive.

It's absolutely fantastic that a player could wait and show a high number in 2025 via long term deal...   but if the agent fails to get the money in their client's pockets early they aren't doing a good job.

There is now way Hurts would be able to recover the money lost by waiting.

That's not even taking into consideration he can get his next deal earlier. Never will catch up by waiting.

I still remember how I was trying to explain the inflation situation coming down the pipe. Was seeing how obviously salaries were about to hit 50 mil a season. It was so unthinkable to many.

Ham, low class/no class "economist" now LMFAO. Nobody else knows what inflation is. "called it" LMAO

Ham-professional BS'er with a degree in crapology. So  uneducated,he can't answer a simple point blank question 🤣🤡

Ok....leaving Ohio State and back to the team the website is for... the Eagles.

Adam Shefter tweeted out the cap hits for Hurts....  idk how this works but here goes...

2023 = $6.15 mil

2024 = 13.56 mil

2025 = $21.77 mil

2026 =$ 31. 77 mil

But a no trade clause... lol

So Joe,you are on the clock at 10. Do you take Njigba or someone else?

I'm no college expert.   So I can't really say.  I want them to get their target.  Not to settle and not to force anything.

To me I wouldn't take the RB.   Just don’t think the position impacts the way other would.   " No Mas,now the defense has to worry about the handoff"  but in RPO that means Hurts keeps it more.  I prefer he runs less and less each year.   That's where the upgrade in weapon would have to be the 4th passing option for me.   I don't want QB draw on 3rd and 6 in the SB.  That should be a pass.

But if WR...sounds like this OSU guy is the one.

Really... no RB and no reach... I'm good with that.

Agreed. I like the Pitt RB now(round 3). I was just curious about the WR because we need young guys replaced on the lines soon. I still believe there is some money left for some post draft fill ins. There are other WR's around for the slot and most would still be an upgrade over Quez

I know we could probably avoid RB altogether,but I like this kid from Pitt. They said they wanted to get Sermon more involved,so maybe we bypass RB,or take a UDFA,but grabbing this Pitt kid would mean we wouldn't have to get a FA guy for a year or 2. I also think Chris Brooks is being very under rated. he would be a nice UDFA steal,so maybe we go that route
