Well we only have 4 picks at present, maybe we add  few, maybe we trade one for Baker. I can show highlights from 10-12 WR's we could get. They see the same vids we do plus ALOT more,so maybe this kid is good. He must be,but we're battling with 31 other teams for positions ,so where to you get him and what do you give up to do it? If you moved back for him, what Make him better than the other players around that pick? This is all stuff we will never know. I mean if you move back to you take your guy,Adaba? Zay? Van Ness? Banks?  You only get 1,so which of those do you take? I'm not saying we don't get him but thats why I put up the mocks everyone hates. At least you can see what I'm thinking. But Howies thoughts are the only ones that matter. A trade back to 19 or 23 would not be the end of the world,we can get more good players if we have scouted correctly. So,I also see your tradeback to 23,I just can't decide which guy I would take first. Nice you found this kid though,He looks good if that's the order of preference. i'm just not convinced that is the biggest need we have. I hope we draft an OT/G. My hopes would be that at minimum he can be our starting RG or compete with Jurgens until he takes over. Then again we have this(pretty cool and effective) tendency lately to draft C's and make G's out of them. C's usually fall pretty far because most teams don't have pressing need. So I suppose I need to look at C's that can play G too. That is something I haven't looked at,but I will now. A tough good C in round 3,4,5 could actually turn out to be a starting RG. We did this with Dickerson who was supposed to be kelce's heir, and Jurgens can also play at RG,so I can't rule out a late C to compete with Jurgens and maybe a round 3,4 RT who is NOT ready yet. Going to be a very interesting draft this time. I like your pick,if he is the BPA there,I have NP taking him,but replacing Cox and adding a young edge seems to be more important. At least to me. Nice find by you though. Looks like he will be a decent one. So the thing that bother me most about him is he played exclusively at LT(sans 1 snap right). I read alot about guys who tried to make the move and just weren't suited for it. Taking this player with the first pick would mean you'd need to be certain he could transfer from left to right. For some it works, others not and that's big investment if you fail to do it and if I seek a BU to Mailiata,I would not do it with my first draft pick(or even a round 1 or 2). So that is my issue with this kid. Not a bash on his ability, but a question of transitioning not only to the NFL,but a different position where different things are asked of him

https://drafttek.com/  So here is the list of C's Some are supposedly going high. Playing C takes more smarts, something Howie covets. At least here they break them down and don't just plop them in the "IOL" category. So maybe Howie waits and picks up a C to compete with Jurgens

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/nfl-draft-2023-eagles-top-options-wide-receiver I'm still hoping for Mims  at 62(or thereabouts). I disagree some with him, don't see Flowers falling into round 2,or if so it would be a very early 2. Mims has a little more bulk, most of the other round 2's are only slots,so he as more versatility for us. "finishing" the WR corps

Hooker and Stroud really failed that ☝️

So this is actually correct. I'm told Oregon QB Justin Herbert did score a 39 on the Wonderlic at the combine in Indy. Here are a few more QB scores from Indy that were higher than reported ... Jake Luton: 33. Brian Lewerke: 30. Jalen Hurts: 21. Tua Tagovailoa: 19.

Guess we should have passed on Hurts(wonderlic). Like your "arm length" issue, how much does this matter???? This is a new test. I think this is the 2nd year? I doubt you would get long term results after 1 years data? Guys in certain limited college offenses can't learn more in the pro's?. Next we'll be measuring big toes. I guess guys competing for the Heisman should be tested and booted off the panel? IDK where does this end? Kind of TOO much information. I mean really if you haven't seen Hurts passing and recognition progress from year 1 you are in bad shape. I suppose the initial scores would matter for a team with no confidence in their staff. Tag is also a "bust"???? ID like I said, there are too many measurables. But I understand when you pay someone millions. Next we'll be need DNA models. it just keeps getting crazier

FWIW,I would try as much as possible to find a way to get both Mims(WR) and Julius Brents(CB). Love to have both,we need 2 picks in that range, some trading back could get us there. Mims obvious upgrade to Quez-completes the WR corps. Brents is pretty good right now,but nice young guy to learn from 2 vets

Thank God the draft is this weekend.

The dead horse has been beaten so much there's no hide left on the bones.

31 guys will be selected round 1.

Rodgers officially to the Jets

The full trade, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, is the Jets receiving Rodgers, the 15th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a 2023 fifth-round pick (No. 170) in exchange for the 13th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a 2023 second-round pick (No. 42), a sixth-round pick (No. 207) and a conditional 2024 second-round pick that will become a first if Rodgers plays 65% of plays this season.

This is good news

A.J. Brown endorses Derrick Henry trade that isn’t happening - PFT
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it won’t be happening. Earlier in the offseason, a report surfaced that the Titans were shopping Henry. Nothing happened, in part because Henry has a salary of $10.5 million this year, and in part because he’s likely looking for a new contract, since he’s in the final year of his current deal. Last year, the Eagles sent a first-round pick to the Titans for Brown. This year, with a deep class of incoming rookie running backs, it’s harder to envision the Eagles making a big move at a position where supply far outweighs demand — and where age and wear and tear make it hard to justify going all in for a veteran tailback.

Here’s what Howie said Thursday: "The most important thing for us here is that we utilize this opportunity to get a unique player for our team. If you start saying, ‘Hey, we can get a unique player, but it's got to be this position,’ you really narrow your options right there.” I know I’m wrong, but I really believe I’m right.

Wiped us out of them having anything to trade up for at LT with us at ten from 15. No second. No Third.
