Well I thought it was interesting he didn’t remember Rocker’s name. Now he’s been meeting tons of different people…so not killing him on that. But sure didn’t even say DC was there. Is Desai involved here? Can’t remember there not being an introductory presser at least. Desai has been invisible. Has he spoken with Rosie about his needs to run a D?

IDK will be interesting to see what the new coaches bring or change

21 hours until we pick(barring a trade lol)

Idk...of all the years for a CB... I feel like this is probably the year that it isn't close to  being a need.  Been a while since we can say that.

Well we can keep hoping we find FA's,but if you want to start a pipeline, you need to make the initial draft pick to do it

The pipeline that matters is in Alaska... not the Eagles CBs.... the Eagles need youth and depth on the lines.

Both are needs, DB's have been a need with this team since time began

Opeta had started four games before last season. Played in five games early  last season

I know you like him,but for me he seems at times "disinterested" He was/is a college "hero" but his attitude needs to be ALOT better in the pros. I smell MS2.0 IDK how he would handle getting beat the first time. Seems to me he wouldn't care all that much. I'm sorry I just don;t like the kid even without the off field issues. He stunk at the combine and whiffed his pro day. He seems to be riding on his laurels and he will do the minimum necessary(see Dillard). I would rather choose a player with fire in his gut and I don't see it with him

The nice way to put it is I just don’t agree with much of any of this statement.

On the greatest line of all times. He’s shown that we can keep on chugging even if we have this one nonPro Bowl playing RG. Does every single player along our Oline need to be the top paid and highly drafted?

Didn't expect you to agree as it stated in the post. I stated MY opinion

Nope, only if you want the best. That is the goal,to find the players that make it the best line in the league  Isn't that the goal of every team? Does every single WR need to be the top paid and highly drafted? Once again isn't that the goal of every team every year? You even point out the multi million dollar players we should get from other teams. Why do you want those players?

I have my mock almost set. I;m going to assume a trade back 30 to 37 with Seattle. Although we could trade down the 10,I think we grab a top positional player . So I have pick 10,37(Sea),62,83(Sea),94 . SO I have 3 players picked out at 94 and can't decide. I would like to hear the opinions on them all Pick one of the 3 options  Ji'Ayr Brown-CB-Penn   Nick Herbig -LB-Wisconsin, Abanikanda- RB-Pitt. I'm leaning towards Brown

1-10-Paris Johnson-ROT(starts at RG)-OSU    2-37(from Seattle)- Adabawore- DT-Northwestern  2-62-Marvin Mims -WR-Oklahoma  3-83-Zach Harrison-edge-OSU  94- Ji'Ayr Brown-CB-Penn st.

Kempski has us trading up w/ the Raiders, giving them our 62 pick for Carter

If they take Carter they'd better have done their due diligence and have a mountain of character clauses built into his contract.

Time has stopped this year though.

Well we have 2 highly drafted on the OL.   I don't really care about where they are drafted and how much they are paid... but after watching our Eagles in recent times...I can't see how any fan doesn't understand the formula.   Look at the results when the line has been elite... vs good...vs injured/ bad.    Look at the results after getting rid of LeSean and Murray ( so called top RBs)

You need a line without a hole, and with depth.   At its peak 5 above average guys across the board....with 2 or 3 starting caliber backups.... RBs like Blount, Ajayi, Clement, Howard, Sanders, Gainwell and Scott can be dominant...not just good, but dominant in their results and helping the team win with the OL in place.

To go into with Jurgens, Opeta and Driscoll... you have 2 injuries and your OL becomes a weakness

Wow...you think a team like Seattle with 2 high first rounders moves up for a 3rd ?    That's definitely out of the box thinking

Nah... doubt they did any research.

Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russell, Johnny Manzell, Tony Mandrich. 1st round picks.

The signs were all there and were ignored because they were all considered to be a generational talent. How many more examples would  you like?

Do you think the Eagles or any other team in 2023 didn't do research?

I'm sure they did.

Do you think the Chargers, Raiders, Browns, and Packers didn't?

I'm not saying don't draft him. I'm saying before you commit  a big part of the future to this young man they'd better make sure they've covered all their bases.

Maybe we have different views as to what is a warning flag when it comes to character.

QB is different....teams are desperate there.   Mandrich was a lifetime ago.   Do you think the world we live in today as far as research is similar to then?

Come on now.   Give the kid an Uber account and move on.
