Wow...you think a team like Seattle with 2 high first rounders moves up for a 3rd ?    That's definitely out of the box thinking

Yeah, but they seem to be scrambling to be relevant. They have been a non contender for awhile. The 30 pick may give them Hooker which would be a nice future QB for them(if that is their plan) Hooker doesn't need to start day 1

Kempski has us trading up w/ the Raiders, giving them our 62 pick for Carter

I hope not. We have limited draft ammo as it is,maybe a few picks form nest year we can use for minor moves up,but I hope he doesn't reduce the picks we have now. I can maybe stay at 10 and get Wilson if they go that route first. Hard for me to give up assets in round 1 unless it's a QB of the future. We'll know 9 hours from now

Wow,so you think the QB makes it all the way to 30?

But then we get the picks from Seattle back right?

It's possible IMO. He was a top 5 QB before he got hurt. he would be a big reach with the picks they have,so the 30 for them is less of a reach(more value). They could risk keeping the 37 and hope he falls to them, but if he was in my draft plans, that's risk and losing pick 83 won't hurt them much since they have some top picks already

Possible, but we're back to 4 picks instead of 5 again if we gave up our 62(not counting the round 7's)

But they would get their target if they trade up

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=QB  SO right now he is listed at 38. This is not LAW but a concensus,so they could stand at 37 and hope he gets there, but if another team wants him they will jump up. So IDK what happens tonight. It was just a thought. Going to 30 for him means another team would have to move higher up in round 1 and IDK if they would

Yeah. IDK,y'all know I'm not a Carter fan LOL. Is the #2 guy that much worse???? IDK we aren't privvy to all the info. It's like taking out a loan to buy a used Edsel. Maybe it runs, maybe not

I was not a fan of- MS2, Dillard, Jjaw, Hollins and not a fan of Carter. Even without the off field issues,I don't like the attitude. Maybe the room can get him on track, but giving up assets to find out they can't would be a big whiff for me

That being said,I don't get all the smallish info they do,so I will be forced to trust them, but that doesn't change how I feel personally and I'm sure my feelings won't matter tonight. He just doesn't hit me as a "team player" guy

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=DL According to this Seattle takes him at 5. To go to 5(on the almighty trade chart) would be a move of 400 and our 62 is worth 281,so why would they(Seattle) make that move? I think they would ask for more assets in return. WE could use the 62 and some picks next year, but that's alot for one guy with character issues IN MY VIEW

QB is different....teams are desperate there.   Mandrich was a lifetime ago.   Do you think the world we live in today as far as research is similar to then?

Come on now.   Give the kid an Uber account and move on.

It's really a pointless arguement. If the eagles don't move up and there are no questions he'll be gone. If the Eagles move up to take him they're obviously satisfied  he'll be OK. If the Eagles don'r move and he's still there then enough GMs have questions

Don't you think Chicago would take Paris Johnson?   My gut tells me yes...and my gut also tells me the Eagles want their lineman target... regardless of which line.

The idea to me of trading up...is that you don't let #2, #3, #4 or maybe #5 target can taken.  That's where I think they are at.

Tennessee,  Tampa and Minnesota...Houston, Carolina, Indy. I can see taking QB.  Idk if Hooker makes it to 20... let alone 30.

If Seattle wants to be relevant...they won't give up 2 picks for a guy they plan on sitting?   They may want Hooker, but immediate relevance wouldn't be a reason to give up 2 picks for a guy that isn't going to play.

Sure.  I'm just pointing out 2023 is different than1989 as far as research capabilities.   We have every day people that probably know more about players than NFL teams in 1989.

It's why I think the Eagles have more than just Carter as the move up target.

How about this scenario...

Trade back to 13 with Green Bay...rumors of us being interested in the OSU WR.  Then we trade to 19...Tampa looking to jump Washington for a QB....

2 trades down... who is the pick at 19 in that case?

Well if the Eagles trade up from 10 we might as well go to bed because i'd be willing to bet they trade back at 30

Lol... I'm up watching sports at night...big game tonight Atlanta vs Boston... besides... if we do trade 30..aren't you interested in the results?

Also...need a trade partner.   And  don't sleep on a possible trade for a veteran player.

More involved than just 2 picks tonight.

No collinsworthless or irving on any of the announcer listings - woo hoo! Kinda hoped Mayock would be back.

Most have us taking Skoronski, I just like Paris slightly better

I have no idea what Seattles plans are. If you are going to try and contend you need a solid BU QB and Hooker fits that bill

They aren't giving up 2 picks 37,83 for 30 is only giving up 1 pick(the 83)

I would hope they have 3 possibles. I'm just sitting here and looking at the CB's and there are 2 really good players in our range, but I still think we go line heavy. So,Joe you mentioned drafting players that sit. It's possible our first pick gets beat out by Jurgens for the RG spot. So we could be doing that also. If they win the job  then Jurgens sits and I believe he was a round 2 pick?. So either way your going to have a high draft pick sitting

IDK we have alot of mid picks we can use(due to comps) so Howie may use 1 or 2 of those
