Agree... agree...

Agree....agree.    for the long term future.   Not giving up 2 players that could possibly evens start in 2023.

only giving up 1 player(again)  37,83=2 players,they get the 30- 1 player 2-1=1

Seattle may be able to get Lance with the 37th pick

Then they have to pay his salary.,a rookie is cheaper if you're going to sit someone

My argument is you said..." Seattle might want to be relevant,  so they will take a backup QB"    that doesn't make sense.   The investment would be for future... not immediately being relevant.

Is Minnesota going to take Hooker to be relevant now...or for future?

What if they get to the playoffs(relevant) and Geno goes down. it happened to us with Foles,so of course he could come into play THIS year AND as a future player or trade bait

I have no idea what Minnesota thinks. I don't follow every team in depth. Suffice to say the trade with Seattle is possible

Ok...we pick 10...

Say 3 QBs, 3 top DL...Anderson, Carter and Tyree....then both OL go... one CB....

We have Bijon...and what else at 10?  This is where I think the stay at 10 people look at Bijon or CB.

My guess us Eagles trade.   Really would be shocked if we stay at 10.  I would assume trading up is first choice...then trade back 2nd choice.

My guess is pick 10 would be a pass rusher that nobody thinks is BPA.  That's why I think we trade either way. That guy at 10 would probably be there at 13-18.

Again... they draft Smith at 37....Jones at 83...  or they draft the back up QB .

They would give up both Smith and Jones for backup QB.  Instead of signing a vet.

It's still 1 player no matter.it's simple math lol

Ok... playoff time 2023... or Jan 2024.   You think a rookie is more relevant than a proven vet?

37,83 =2 players,so they get the 30=1 player. SO they trade that for a vet, that's still 1 player

DOesn't matter what I think, but he was in the Heisman hunt,so he may be better than a vet by years end. No way to know. That's up to Seattle

How did the round 7 QB do in SF???? I wonder if he had been healthy if we would have made it to the SB

Ok... let's say Seattle gets vetetan Drew Lock as their backup in 2023..  and they draft at 37 and 83..   we agree that Lock and 2 draft picks make 3 players right?

I mean I hope we do.

Or... no Lock...but instead trade 37 and 83 for Hooker.... = 1 player.

You follow yet?  While the draft pick math is 2 for 1...then idea of drafting a backup vs signing one.. you would use picks 37 and 83 to draft the backup.

If you don't use the draft pick for a QB..then you get him somewhere else and use the other 2 picks for other players.

Idk... one fluke ... you tell me?

You want to draft Hooker so we can be relevant..probably better than Mariota?

Reading this article it looks like they have more teams trading down than up.

Not everyone can trade down

Gotta read the room. Might be a cheaper year to move up then.

I don't lose draft picks UNLESS I TRADE a pick for that player

Kempski has us trading up w/ the Raiders, giving them our 62 pick for Carter

Seen the Lions also

Carter told NBC Sports Philly on Wednesday that the Eagles suppsedly gave him assurances that if he was still on the board at 10 we'd draft him.

Lots of trade back partners that could use a higher pick, TB, Pats come to mind right away. Most have different needs than us,that bodes well for a trade back IMO.We'll see in 4 hours. get your popcorn ready

Not a fan,but whatever. They didn't way they would move up for him lol

If they take Carter they'd better have done their due diligence and have a mountain of character clauses built into his contract.

I’m not sure how much you can even manipulate these rookie contract structure nowadays. Think it’s fairly set terms.

It's why I think the Eagles have more than just Carter as the move up target.

It’s been Anderson, Carter and Wilson for a very long time. I don’t see any Oline prospects worth that.
