Yea... because if Swift leaves after this year.... probably means we get the comp pick in 2025... so the idea is worse case scenario we rent Swift for a year for the price of....the difference between our 4th round pick and whatever the comp pick is.

There is news that the Eagles traded two 7th round picks to Houston for pick #191.   But then Tampa picked 191?   What happened?

Eagles traded two 7th rounders for pick 191...with Houston.... then traded pick 191 to Tampa for a 2024 5th round pick.

Drafted a DB on day two. Took a huge swing on Nolan!

So... from Thursday a couple hours before the draft.... picks 10, 30, 62, 94 and the two 7ths.

Ending up with Carter, Smith, the OL from Bama, Brown, Ringo,  Swift... the QB and Ojomo...

Giving up 2024 .... 3rd and 4th... getting back a 5th.

Giving up 2025 5th.

If you went to sleep for 2 days... how does that look?

IMO ... the biggest need for 2023 was the DL... addressed immediately 

Got a couple of DBs for the future...one should probably play some this year.

Developmental OL with upside.

Vet RB added to ease all the concerns some had.

I think that's pretty good.   You can't address everything. 

 

Oh got Ringo too. Nice swing in the fourth for the speedster. I question his hips. Not real fluid there. Straight line fast….which equals recovery time and chasing down stray breakaways to prevent the home run….if he’s on the field that is.

You could argue 3 spots on O that you weren't sure or wanted improvement. 

RG, 3rd WR....RB.     RB addressed.  RG ..possible.     WR...I feel the guys they would have taken went 22-25.   

Defense they addressed the biggest need, the most important group anyway.  So something had to give.... couldn't get stud DL, OL and WR early.... had to choose.   They chose DL. 

Still time to get some vets if needed.  Which I assume will happen.  They created a place where players want to come. 

Now we need to just steal Will Muschamp out of college to continue on with his work.

GB drafted 2 TE's in the first 4 picks
