I'm hoping Calcaterra can step up and into that role. That's why I preferred a WR because after Quez we don't have anyone who can be a difference maker(that I am aware of) Quez dropped off last year, dropped a big one in the SB. We had Calc and I think we still have Jackson we've been coddling at TE and I didn't see any WR's that could step up,so thats why I wanted a WR over a TE

I don't see anything behind Goedert either ...except Stohl as a blocker.   It's why I don't really care which position it is that steps up as that legit weapon.

Crazy to think what the O  was capable of with a blocking WR and blocking TE out there at least half the time.

Obviously it worked more than I would have imagined. No D could have really put much of any effort into covering Stoll and Pascal.

If I’m the D and see Pascal…I’m looking for him to just run some pick. Or block for the run.

Ham... I know we go back and forth on the issue... but is it really amazing with the schedule from last year?

I can't for this year.   Last year looking at the schedule I was trying to find a game they might lose.... this year it's tough to find a gimme.

With Washington actually beating us last year....who you got as the easy game?  Rams, Cards, Tampa????

It's great...so much fun coming up this year... we may see some comebacks... the franchise passing yards should be broken by Hurts.. maybe TD passes?

The young kids playing defense is exciting.  Almost 20 years of nobody repeating as division champs... coaching changes... so much stuff in play now.

Plus I'm excited to see the RBs... no secret I'm not a fan of Sanders,  just was such a bus rider for me... like the little brother you let play on your team because you know you are going to kill the other team...not really a guy you want to walk into a fight with.   Swift and Pennie...with Gainwell a year older too....really looking forward to it.

And the local kid we got from Atlanta to play some slot WR.   The offense should be way more fun to watch.  Especially against the much better competition.

Your analogy of Sanders = 💯

You missed it then. Sanders really hurt opponents. Gainwell was the bus rider. Best Oline but he didn’t really do squat. Came iN to mop up on the already humiliated and beaten giants in the fourth quarter. How is that impressive?

It’s the big matchups we did and will need the quality RB for. Definitely some teams our Oline can just maul. Those dominant trench games probably not as important. But you get the tough matchups it’s crucial. We didn’t have that RB weapon in the SB. It hurt us. Niners I’ve been talking about for years now. Still looks near the same as last season in the NFC….minus ARod. All about beating the cowboys and the Niners. Need quality RB action in those big matchups. Niners are tough. So when you catch them and the hole is there gotta make them pay. Need playmakers.

I believe a healthy Sanders makes a huge difference in that SB. Help control the clock. Keep Mahomes off the field. We scored plenty of points but lost. So have to think of the game was shortened by grinding the clock more…maybe scoring LESS points we actually win.

Sanders blows.   10 years you will forget he was an Eagle.

Sanders made no difference in any game he played in the NFL.  I don't watch college so I can't tell you about that...bus rider extraordinare as an Eagle.    A fumble waiting to happen,  a missed block, or a dropped pass.

Every key play he wasn't on the field.  I wish him one year of success in Carolina so he can secure the comp pick and his team can keep the Saints out of the playoffs for our 2nd round pick.     He will be cut before he finishes that contract.

Prediction: Gainwell will make Sanders look like a forgotten ho after the ride.

He’s no all time great Eagles or anything. But huge gap between him and the others last year.  Lesser gap between him and Swift/Penny. But still rather have him over either of those guys. But with so much dead money those two are much more affordable.

Gainwell is battling for a roster spot.

I prefer Scott over Gainwell. If Sermon shows he knows his stuff he could knock Gainwell off the roster.

No Mas no idea how you didn’t find our O very fun to watch this past season. Very exciting and multiple. Teams we could get physical and run on….we ran all over. If their pass D was weak….threw all over them. Just keep doing that…..wherever they are weak …attack!

Gainwell as a backup = much better than Sanders as a starter.

Sanders for being drafted high and paid isn't worth what Gainwell is as a day 3 guy.

It's not simply one vs the other... it's how they do in their roles.

Except the others were on the field during key plays....Sanders had his opportunity vs Indy... they really tried to force the ball to him.  When they realized he wasn't the answer they scored.

For the investment pick and money wise...he gives you nothing special at all.   If he comes cheap as an early down RB...he is ok.  The team ran better the year before when he got it less.

The thing is.   It's not 2022 anymore...the backfield is clearly better now. Should be going forward without Sanders and some other RB or RBs in that role.

The league sucked this year... we avoided a good team until the last 2 weeks.  You realize it when it comes time to talk about Howie and Gannon.

This year..  much more legit and going to be fun.

On paper this team is better than last year. It may take a year to see it though because you never know if the rooks are gonna produce right away.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them starting slow and coming on like a freight train at the end of the season.

Gainwell is locked...he is the only one we know for sure will be here in 2024 ...due to his contract.   Regardless of his role... he will be here.

Idk if it's better than last year.   It's less proven on the NFL level.  I think better at RB and WR....can't say that about any of the other spots yet.

Didn’t that man get injured??? Really has not been healthy since he got here not to mention has been transitioning from QB to TE…

2021 fractured his back then last year he tore his ACL. Really just rough break for the kid so far hope he can stay healthy

I don't watch college football... where you think it's fun to watch blowouts.   I like NFL football when both teams can actually win.  Last year...the Eagles did their job in making it boring.  It should have been boring.

This year will be fun.  Especially with a target on their backs.
