Scott,Gainwell,Swift,Penny,IDK if Sermon even makes the roster. I don't see a need to carry 5 RB's. I'd like to keep him(Sermon) merely as insurance for Swift and Penny, maybe tab him as a restricted on the PS? Getting Penney I figured they would work him in a bit more as they stated, but after getting Swift, that flew out the window. Maybe Sermon on ST's? IDK,will be interesting here

Too early to even get that deep into things. Could lose two RBs to injury in TC or the PS. Competition is good. In my view it’s up to Gainwell or Sermon to beat out Scott for third string. Scott had the advantage of being a viable starting back for a game or two if needed(yeah I’m looking at you giants). Gainwell is purely an extra complimentary backup player. Sermon spent a year working and learning the O. Let Scott, Gainwell and Sermon battle it out for the last roster spot. Should only need to carry 3 RB total. 4th should be somebody that will accept PS duty(more likely Sermon).

I wouldn’t right Sermon off Siri seems fairly high on him… good chance it’s going to be him vs Penny for the final spot and think Sermon could win that battle

Read previous post to see my thoughts and where I’m coming from. Think you got Penny and Swift that will possibly be worked through the IR system this season.

No need to decide anything until final cuts.  Scott or Sermon might be moved in a trade.  Or Sermon cut? Who knows

Long ways to get to week one…for sure. Just hoping Penny and Swift don’t trip over anything during the summer. Curious as to what condition Swift is actually in. Will he back to 100 percent by TC?

Gainwell is on the team... he is only one under contract next year.  I know you have a stick up your arse about him...but he is locked in as the cheap committee RB.   However you want to label him... he will be here and dress for 2 more years.

I agree....no need to make any decisions yet.  I also don't think we need to worry about injuries to the extent you are talking.   Sanders played 40 games his first 3 seasons....Swift played 40 games.    Swift plus Penny... much more projected vs injury than just Sanders.  Now you can split the carries up better.  Short yardage,3rd down etc.

I wouldn’t go to crazy over Siri saying something complimentary about a RB that simply hogged a roster spot last season for no reason. I’ve questioned why it was even done. Funny thing is the fans that think the RB room is irrelevant….are the ones that like tying up a 53 man spot for an extra nonused RB on a field goal short of Championship team. So many things and pieces you have to realistically consider factoring in coming up just so barely short.

The P was the potentially easy fix. No sense in why they didn’t bring in competition for Sypsos. Gave a low end option a free ride with no competition. Even if the competition was fairly terrible it could have at least push Sypsos to get just that **** better. P stinks though. He was exposed for not being up the big moment and choked. Can’t really do much with that in my mind. Can deal with a screw up or two….but to barely scrape by doing the most minimal job all season only to shank in the big game….no good!

Then you got the first round draft pick trade away to Saints. Love that we brought in Carter. But giving away that great SB opportunity I just don’t take lightly like everybody else here. I wanted that one!

Gannon so focused on taking over Cards screwed us obviously also. Getting the extra draft hook up now really doesn’t near make up for losing a Lombardi. Clearly cost us! Two first round picks from the Cards isn’t enough to make up for losing that opportunity like his coaching performance did. Number one to blame for the loss is Gannon!

Then I look right at the league. They stole our title. Plain as day! Totally put an old school BS fix on with the turf. FL can’t threaten walking away from his loyal fan ways over sone athlete’s character we employ. I’ll be done if I see much more of this league manipulation BS. They can play with the scheduling to swing things already. That crap no call for Wash to get scammed to lose was obvious. League was pissed at the owner and pushing him out. But messed with the integrity of the game by fixing it so they were denied the playoffs.

So out of curiosity what happened to Punt God.

That story fell off the face of the earth

Who here has wrote a letter? Started a hashtag or website to expose the league? They stole our dang SB? Blatantly! How long I’ve watched football? Seem bad Vet turf seems. Seen turf coming up. Seem mud painted green. Snow. Rain. Never seen a field like that before!!!! EVER!

Expense Cards stadium. Have unbelievably total control over that playing surface more than about anywhere. It was the easiest stadium to deliver perfect field conditions. Disgraceful!

I see Chiefs fans all over Eagles Facebook posts... man, I'm not getting why the Eagles are living rent free in their heads?

Far from rent free. Pay the massive price of our parade! Painful!

They know we "won" the SB. 1-2 plays would have changed the outcome and they are worried

Everybody is worried about Hurts. This is more probably directed at No Mas. He continually kept bringing up and focusing on running QBs can’t win in the postseason.

You seemingly devalue the RB room so hesvily. Yet your sticking point is Gainwell? Gotta hold on to him as a fourth string RB potentially? For me he’s gotta earn a roster spot. Scott, Gains and Sermon battling for what I think should be the third and final RB roster spot. Scott does returns. Scott can be the lead guy for a week or two if needed. Gains ceiling is complimentary backup. That’s where we obviously highlight our differences. I’ve been hungry for two quality RB. You don’t even desire one. But you going to ride or die over the potentially fourth string RB?

Guys always get injured. But full paper options In May. I could see going Swift, Penny and Scott. With Sermon being the option to accept a PS role.

  • Author

Don’t think Gains will go PS. Scott either.

  • Author

Scott will for the team to move legal roster stuff. Like moving guys to IR and things. Scott would probably accept and be safe dropping just yo bring right back to massage the roster limits.

Thing is Siri came in and was against Sanders. Chose Gains. Given him every opportunity. Tons of guys dream of getting such a chance. But nothing ever materialized still. Hopefully he still has somewhere to still improve.

Calling a guy that is a best in third string RB position the team’s lock is very huge presumption. Far from any lock. Fairly insignificant NFL player is all I really have seen.

Never mind i answered my own question.

"Ultimately, prosecutors determined it is clear the evidence does not support the filing of criminal charges and there is no path to a potential criminal conviction,” a statement released by the office of Summer Stephan, the San Diego County district attorney, said.

I’d roster Scott easily over Gains. So if no injuries occur I wouldn’t likely have a fourth RB on the 53. I think the RB is significant. But fourth string level versus a PS RB isn’t probably much dropoff really. Sermon, An undrafted, XFL or USFL could be had. Then if Swift and Penny go down for something long term you make a pickup then. Two weeks you just call up the PS to backup Scott.

Not really feeling like America much what happened to him. Charges alone got him booted. Can’t agree with that. NFL isn’t above the judges and courts. America’s Game needs to reflect the country.
