Now Punt God was setup by the girl. She called him with the police listening trying to get him setup. Heard rumors he said some pretty bad things in that phone call. Not admitting guilt. But nasty abusive language towards a female. Least of which probably calling her a filthy ho type thing.

I wouldn’t go to crazy over Siri saying something complimentary about a RB that simply hogged a roster spot last season for no reason. I’ve questioned why it was even done. Funny thing is the fans that think the RB room is irrelevant….are the ones that like tying up a 53 man spot for an extra nonused RB on a field goal short of Championship team. So many things and pieces you have to realistically consider factoring in coming up just so barely short.

Dude... enjoy life... do you always have to complain about things.    Complaining is not a sign of intelligence.

I'm curious..  what is the usual number of RBs that NFL teams have on the 53?

Technically the Bills just acted and dropped him. So how much the league urged this action is unknown. Buffalo owner might have just made a point and took his own action. But he wasn’t picked up by anybody. Obviously we come to mind having a crappy guy in the first place. But then he even got injured. Not sure how much to divide up team owners and league brass on the overly sensitive female conduct. Clearly something the league feels they need to overreact and be in front of for business perceptions. Zeke, Mixon and some of these other thug athletes get around it. But just getting accused, think everybody saw and considered the case, evidence and time line of events to easily see there wasn’t much there. But accused….P blacklisted. Mixon proven to shattered a woman’s face….big money. He gets on the cover of a program for the team.

Gainwell is on the team... he is only one under contract next year.  I know you have a stick up your arse about him...but he is locked in as the cheap committee RB.   However you want to label him... he will be here and dress for 2 more years.

I don’t care if he’s locked in cheap for ten years. He’s roster bubbly level player. He’s the guy not important and easy to replace. Tons of fourth string options to turn to. I would add that I would believe fourth string RB options could be better to try than Gainwell. Can get plenty to perform like he can. But probably could try an option with at least big upside. Fourth string RB that should be peaking in his career this season…,yawn. Can’t be more opposite on our philosophy and logic that we are in the RB room.

I want and wanted two options better than Scott at RB. Hit teams with a quality duo, Punish them! Break their will! This team is incredibly fantastic at this. League zigged for finesse specialist players. Perfect timing to hit them with a big nasty physical attack. 220 pound LB are susceptible to this. Nickel and Dime are the top two personnel groupings played these days. Little slot DB or maybe S is ideal to bring the physical  beef at. Those guys want nothing to do with Stohl or Goedert….god forbid we get Kelce pulling out on them. Time for them to make business decisions.

Eye test, who was the best Eagles RB...

1.  In the playoffs

2. Short yardage

3. Passing downs

....in neither of these is the answer Miles Sanders.

Didn't Gainwell beat out some RBs in college that are currently in the league?   Nice blue collar player vs a Sanders that needs to be babies?   Doesn’t make sense to me why you like Sanders over Gainwell.   Intangibles way in favor of Gainwell.

Notice how well it works when you run block and come at the defense. Bring physical to them. Make that undersized coverage LB and DB get in big collisions early. Once he gets rammed three or four good times they tend to not be as sharp running in coverage. Get that thigh bruise. Shoulder stinger. Then make them have to flip hips and run. Great formula we absolutely excel at! Unbelievable advantage snd  mentality this team is built on. No way you give that away. Teams don’t want to face us! They know pain, suffering and soreness awaits. Embarrassment too! Beat you up then make you look bad!

Penny, Swift and Scott is a returner. Sometimes you could keep a fourth if he’s such a key ST guy. Third stringer should ideally be contributing on ST in the RB room. Backup S and LB big there also. Fourth string RB that aren’t capable of being a starter if everybody else goes down…and isn’t key on ST? That’s the guy that’s not important. Take or leave that guy..,whatever. Care about the top two. That’s what’s important. You got this position group all twisted in your head. Fourth string RB, not returning kicks, not a starting level ceiling RB? Those are the easy to replace players. Fifth, sixth round pick or even a cap casualty or older player can be brought in at RB for terrible injury news to multiple RBs if ever needed.

I state my opinions. Add my two cents to the conversation, always. In my mind I’m usually realistically grey area guy. I’m not so black and white about everything. I can praise good qualities while also noting deficiencies. It’s how things much more really are. Not too mention there are always choices being made. Forks on roster building roads. I try and envision how I foresee things playing out. So it’s much riskier going out on limbs with opinions about future predictions than hindsight observation.

Think I have a fairly open mind to consider multiple paths and options. I don’t get so blinded by feelings in my viewpoints on our players. NFL you can still at least root consistently for sone players. FA and the movement across the league makes loyalty difficult. What really hurts me about NBA team loyalty. NBA they move so much I more picks players than sticking to any one franchise.

Absolutely makes sense why I like Sanders over Gainwell. Sanders has some elite qualities. Playmaking ability. But Sanders did some dumb things at times. Didn’t seemingly understand game situation basics. Not crying he left.  I wasn’t ever even saying we needed to keep him so bad. All I really was stating was that it’s a big picture GM roster building job. So I consider all options. Are you trying to win a Lombardi? If you just want to compete in the NFC and seek jerseys and tickets…that’s fine. Get that playoff extra revenue. Not where I see things. Last season I had the vision to hunger a Championship. Sorry if my nitpicking the team was too much negativity for you. Think you were just behind still trying to wipe your eyes clear watching Sanders and Hurts tear up the league. You really were borderline rooting against those two. Both absolutely answered the bell last season.

Roster. You can utilize the PS call ups so much more now than years ago.

FL calls Hurts a "HOG” for unbelievably consistently converting short yardage. I love it and think it’s freaking Elite Money ability. So clearly though Sanders could have posted higher TDs.

Will look to check active rosters once they are finalized...see how many RBs is the norm.   I always remember 4.

Like Blount, Ajayi/ Sproles, Smallwood and Clement.    Seems 4 was always on the roster?

Interesting though..." we need to plan for injuries now " with 5 RBs....but with 4 last year, it was a waste?

So if we check 32 rosters last year...you are saying more teams had 3 rather than 4?

Clearly....2021....the Eagles as a team... rushed for more yards and the RBs rushed for more TDs.    Clearly...  Sanders getting numbers was just for him....clearly....like freaking crystal.... Sanders doesn't effect the team success.

But I don’t put everything into stats. Just a tool to be taken for what they are. Can be very useful. Clearly Siri came here against Sanders. Clearly trying to manipulate things a bit against him and towards his preference Gainwell. Put Gainwell in as a rookie at the goaline and passing. But Sanders answered receiving doubts his rookie season. Posted very solid receiving stats. Then after he proved first season he’s good at it…the opportunities just disappear under Siri. That isn’t an issue against Sanders. That was coaching manipulation. But Siri was forced to see how clearly Sanders was many tiers higher than Gains. Sanders wouldn’t be denied his domination last season. He was the  Bell Cow Back. When you are the starter that means it begins near 70 yards away from the endzone most drives. So Sanders getting us from 30 to 30 was extremely important. Can’t do everything though. So need some kind of breather.

I just am not as accepting of second place by a sliver. So I can be more positive than you in bad times. But also can really get specifically detailed about flaws that can be the only thing between winning it all or not.

Sanders....and the word elite do not go together.   He has nothing " elite"  nothing.

Decision making... finding a hole... breaking tackles....wiggle... pass blocking... route running... catching.

None of those are elite.  Zero.

Not worth the high pick,  the salary, nor the negative energy of " we need to feed me the ball"

Gainwell comes with none of the BS.     The argument isn't if Sanders is worth a quarter and Gainwell 20 cents.  It's that Gainwell fits at 20 cents where Sanders doesn't fit at a dollar.

Right....as a tool... Sanders had no impact on the team rushing success... yardage or TDs.

He fumbles....he comes off on key plays.   Elite RBs do not come off on key plays.

There are no " elite " qualities....there is nothing that cannot be replaced.

Last year...." whoa whoa...let's just make the playoffs...you are asking too much of Hurts just because he has talent around him. "

Stop it..  your QB not fumbling is more important than a 4th RB.   He has the weapons around him that should make him break the franchise record in all the major passing categories....yet you don't want him to pass?

Do you think KC and Cincy fans don't want their QBs to pass?

Time to step up now vs the better competition...on a consistent basis.   If dude has potential to be an all time great...then let him play.  Trent Dilfer can win handing off.
