So yep, I can worry about a crappy P even though he hadn’t cost us everything before week ten. Many teams just aren’t holding to such a high standard of Champions. Thought it was a victory to make the playoffs season before. Gained that level of experience and wisdom. But last season and forward with Hurts at the helm? It’s all about winning it all. Now’s your time to worry about Bronze standards you labeled AR with. You are just too accepting of having a shot…or getting close.  That’s not the goal…or the job. The task is win it all! Could have taken place last season. Could have taken place in 2018. Clearly looking mostly at that right now. Gotta put together a team and coaches to get it done. Not all about one guy…the fourth string RB. Coaches and players gotta be capable of handling the biggest game and moments. Need the whole package roster. Anything that stops us short of fixed field conditions or injuries aren’t acceptable. GM needs to prove to me he’s the right guy. When we won it all before team steadily declined very quickly after. I see this as an obvious likely side effect of Rosie’s methods. Dead Money and such backloaded contracts hits you in delay. Opportunity for a long Championship Window right now. I’ll even say I’m fairly impressed with Rosie’s job performance this offseason. Kept the big picture in mind. Gotta be flexible. We all seemingly wanted to sign and retain CGJ. You were obsessed with it as the singular move. I wanted to keep him. But I can understand how so many different factors at work. If it was up to me? CGJ probably still be here…in fact. I had a higher price tag willing to give Ceedy Duce than I believe he ever was given from Rosie.

The 76ers won tonight...you are expecting me to read the novels?

Which roster is better than the Eagles?   Which GM you feel has done a better job?

Let's not make it complicated.  Simple answers.

Why you want to change what I’ve been stating to must keep Sanders. But what I really kept saying was all options on the table. I wouldn’t lock in to any one possibility. The job is win the Lombardi! Complete the Championship Roster Puzle.

We have under contract players. Available FAs. Vet trades. Cap casualties. The draft. Nobody ever wants to massively overpay with draft picks or cap money for any player or position. But I don’t care so much about that. Need to do everything to win it all.

Which paragraph was this?  I'll go sort through the novel tomorrow

That where I see our Franchise under Hurts. Get it done…however.

agree with the last sentence...to be honest all I read from this post. But the point is so good....I agree so much with this simple yet excellent concept...I don't want to dilute this with anything else you might have said that I think is a little too left field.

That said....I would love to see a vet RG ...proven above average starter at the position.   My guess is we see a vet brought in on defense too.

Imagine we bring in a couple of vets that aren't exactly cheap.   Wonder what that would do to the narrative that we have no cap space...or that Howie can't manage the cap.

It's interesting... at this point the Eagles will have plenty of cap space for the foreseeable future....at least until 2028 and even longer.

Only one thing could screw it up... that's the QB not performing at the average QB level....the level that his cap hits are at.   Actually they are below average cap hits...but in the event he needs to be replaced,  that could cause some big time dead cap.

As long as Hurts can play..  he gets extended and the team cap space will be there...for well into the 2030s.

It's ironic ...Howie will be a cap genius if Hurts pans out.   For the Howie haters, it will take a Hurts collapse to cause any cap trouble.  It's ironic.

Oh geez.. here we go.  Explain the rules to me...am I not allowed to comment on your comment?... see how that works.

Dude is irrelevant

If you think he is irrelevant why did you bother to respond? Just ignore my post LOL It's a fan bored. I can talk about irrelevant players(to you) if I feel like it. See how that works? Maybe he is irrelevant. SO? Why is 1 post considered an obsession with you? It's not like I droned on for pages. Please

Exactly...we can all talk about everything.  I agree.

Too early to even get that deep into things. Could lose two RBs to injury in TC or the PS. Competition is good. In my view it’s up to Gainwell or Sermon to beat out Scott for third string. Scott had the advantage of being a viable starting back for a game or two if needed(yeah I’m looking at you giants). Gainwell is purely an extra complimentary backup player. Sermon spent a year working and learning the O. Let Scott, Gainwell and Sermon battle it out for the last roster spot. Should only need to carry 3 RB total. 4th should be somebody that will accept PS duty(more likely Sermon).

Our "third string" RB is the one we pay the highest salary to LOL. I found that interesting. We literally "stole" the other 2 lol

Could be 4th string really...depends how you look at it.

Guys always get injured. But full paper options In May. I could see going Swift, Penny and Scott. With Sermon being the option to accept a PS role.

With our new line acquisitions,we can cut some dead weight off there and carry 5 RB's. With 2 of them having an injury history,it wouldn't be out of the question. Even our BU's are capable,so if one hits the PS I hope we put the restriction on him

Thing is Siri came in and was against Sanders. Chose Gains. Given him every opportunity. Tons of guys dream of getting such a chance. But nothing ever materialized still. Hopefully he still has somewhere to still improve.

How do you figure Siri was against Sanders? He gave him a great stat chance in his contract year to get him more money(and it worked)

FL calls Hurts a "HOG” for unbelievably consistently converting short yardage. I love it and think it’s freaking Elite Money ability. So clearly though Sanders could have posted higher TDs.

Called him a hog the year before this one because Sanders never got the GL carries. Remember he had ZERO TD's that year? When did I call Hurts a hog THIS past year? But still you have to face the "butt push" calls. I think we had 30 of them. We were so good at that, they considered a rule change LOL

I just am not as accepting of second place by a sliver. So I can be more positive than you in bad times. But also can really get specifically detailed about flaws that can be the only thing between winning it all or not.

I'm gonna say KC is not giving up the Lombardi. I know it's a long shot. We had a 10 point lead on the same "bogus" field, and while I agree the field took away out prized pass rush we DID have a 10 point lead that we blew and I'm going to doubt they changed the field at 1/2 time

Just that I am impressed that we got 2 RB's I would personally rate higher than Scott for LESS than what he pay him

Could see a vet RG,no question. In fact it would be a nice CYA move. Could also add a cheap VET CB,just to have him around while the young guys learn in the even one goes down early in the season. I think Blank got enough snaps that he will be fine at S and he should keep getting better. I also think we could add a cheap vet WR to the room when other teams cut one(no clue who that would be) IDK if a vet TE would be in the cards. See no reason we won't tweak as much as possible. I know we don't get to see things, but maybe we see Jurgens take some C snaps this year?

I was surprised we signed Scott so quickly.

The answer is win Lombardis

The mission is Lombardis. Roster puzzle must be completed. Or enough to get the job done.

Plenty of work left to do on the roster for this season. Need to be ready to make one significant move before the deadline. Just can’t expect to get through this season as healthy as last year.

Main concern for me is defensive coaching. Question marks abound there. Added Patricia that could be useful. Or really could be in the way. Don’t need Rosie and him teaming up to create dissenting ideas. Feel like Rosie likes to have tools to use against the staff. We know he has a huge analytics department. He’ll question every move. But don’t need things getting split by him and Patricia against the other coaches…especially between the players.

Still pretty fresh memories around what Rosie forced on Pedey.
