Definitely blame the loss on this guy. He stunk up the SB!

I never said he didn't have a great game, he DID, and I never disputed that. I'm asking 1 simple question and it's a yes or no

Too bad he could only carry the team all by himself to 35 points. Of course if the D got that final stop…does anybody doubt Hurts comes down and scores? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

Once again yes or no. Did Hurts contribute to the SB loss? There are only 2 boxes. Check one and hand in your paper for grading

He had a good game.

The one huge bone head mistake ...the worst kind you can make was a factor.

KC punted on the drives prior and after the fumble.  That kept them in the game.

And yes.. I think the team who had the ball last wins.  I absolutely think that the Eagles would have won with 2 minutes left.

Seumalo was responsible for Bolton. How do they get that easy 7 again now if Bolton was blocked?

Agree...should have been a tackle and a punt... KC punted on their next possession.   Just like they did the possession before.

Halftime... Gannon was on a zoom call with AZ...and the tide turned.

LMFAO,who is our BU QB now?

You said Shew didn't win a game. Right he didn't because the team was built for Hurts style, not his. he was a CHEAP patch. Now we have Mariota who is more Hurts style than Shew. In the event Hurts goes down there won't be a need to CHANGE THE OFFENSE because of differing QB styles. I understand you hate Shew, but if he had a team built around just him,I see no reason he couldn't succeed either. You build a round team then try to plug in a square QB it's going to be difficult. Now we changed that. If Hurts goes down we can win with Mar. That is why we let Shew walk away. Another problem fixed by Howie

I mean...dude brings in an article about the franchise tag ....and totally misread it.   Hard to converse with that.

Defense lost the Dallas game... but just like Hurts in Superbowl..." shew" contributed to that loss.

The Saints game was just awful.

IDK just say "yeah it was a factor in the loss". Not hard to do. He had a great stat game, but he can't admit his god is human. We all hate Hurts because we won't polish that brass statue. I think the loss gives Hurts more drive to be even better. The "non win" at SF put us in the SB. KC earned the win. Has Zero to do with hating Hurts. I think he will be one of the best QB's we've ever had. But those ill times errors happened and you can't deny it(well ham can lol)

Agreed, I thought Shew could win one of those

And you disagree with me,but I would have liked to have seen Shew in garbage time. I hope they let Mariota take some snaps in real time. So you say any QB can hand the ball off. True, yet you feel the timing and such when you have to use it for real. Besides,it takes injury risk from your starter even if it's only 8- 12 snaps.IDK why teams don't do it. There must be a reason I am missing

I mean when Wentz was our starter we still had plays just for Hurts,so why don't we do that with anyone else?

Point blank question -Yes or No . Did Hurts contribute to the SB loss?

My answer is NO. Hurts is the only reason we had any chance to win. Couldn’t even beat the Saints without him. Heck it was questionable enough whether we could beat the giants backups without him. He had to force play injured the final week. Probably a four win team without Hurts somehow last season sadly.  But if we want to do anything but shift blame away from almost every player on our team that played so terribly disappointing towards blaming Hurts that was the best player on the field that day. He wasn’t perfect. He had a few incompletions. He could have thrown that pass to Quez and then ran down there and closed Watkins’s hands around the ball to force him to catch it. Hurts also could have been taking the snaps and doing the G duties if staying in their stance and also blocking the guy in front of himself. Actually think we would have won had Hurts taken over the P job. Hurts probably could have taken a few snaps on D also. Could have used one guy to make one play that day. I bet he would have done it too! Hurts was the entire O that day…heck the entire team. It was very close to the entire Chiefs versus Hurts. He at least had AJ, Smitty and Goedert assisting. Popcorn guy was closest guy to defend some  of those Mahomes TD passes…only a terribly short field at that…embarrassing.

If Hurts carries the team by one more duty of taking over as P…we win! Very very likely. Or taking it to OT at least.

There you have it!!! Can't just answer NO. Needs to be an essay. So now we know Hurts can drop 1 ball for 7 every game and we will still win. That's REALLY nice to know. So for ya'll that missed it-Hurts did NOT contribute to the SB loss per Ham!!!

I gotta be honest.   I'll tell you why I'm very upbeat about the Eagles now compared to say a year ago.

Last year I saw the DL future as very bleak... now...I like the draft picks...Reddick stepped up.. and Sweat looks good.   And I'm talking 4 picks...Davis, Carter, Smith and Ojomo.  Just a gut feeling about Ojomo.

The QB was a runner... didn't really get a feel for him in 2021...because there weren't any close games... either we beat the scrubs big or we lost with him getting garbage stats at the end vs all the decent teams.

This year...forget the stats...he looked ok rolling left, vs disaster.   To me his best games were Washington loss and win in Indy.  Just my eyes with his play. Sure he threw for some stats where they left guys wide open and or our dudes made jump ball plays.

But the kid was good in close games. His best IMO.

I can't wait to see these young DL play.  Can't wait to see Hurts vs this excellent competition this year.

We go 10-7...probably going to be way more fun of a regular season.

Obviously playoffs will be what matters in the end though.

How many points did KC score on the scoop/drop from Hurts? Would 6 be correct? And how much did we lose by? Nah no factor it was "everyone else and the field and the refs and the popcorn guy"

To the team... the player ... NEW cash in the pocket ....and guarantees are what matters.  Hurts got paid...more so than Lamar with new cash.  And guarantee when you realize the tag was guaranteed.

Your fluff # is exactly what Lamar is showing.  He doesn't have the agent to explain it.  Hurts agent did an excellent job.

Cash and guarantees is correct. So your understanding is the option in Hurts contract kicking in next year basically acts like a delayed signing bonus? He gets all that cash right then? I’m just genuinely trying to learn and understand and make sure I’m seeing how that works correctly. Never even thought much about that part. So many factors. Signing, workouts, achievements, roster….

GB... Shew was great in Dallas... we didn't lose because 7 weeks earlier he didn't hand the ball off in garbage time.   And he wasn't garbage against the Saints because of that either.

Or 5 unblocked  guys actually make a tackle

Agreed, the massive improvement from Hurts was stunning. I really wasn't expecting that much from the year before. I also believe he hasn't peaked and he will be even tougher this year and i am also looking forward to it. Like to see a TE 2 step in more. Calcaterra? IDK maybe we snag a FA cut? Stoll is ok as a blocking TE,but we could use another receiving threat. Gains looked good at the end, think he will be better also. Anxious to see Swift and Penny hammering away. It's going to be fun to watch

Are you trying to learn..   if so asking a question instead of acting like you know I all and " No Mas" is automatically wrong.  Then you might learn something.

Before we go...you did see that the article you brought in about the franchise tag.. .  It said the 2023 ...current year..." exclusive tag" is 45 mil.

You can calm down and see it without forcing yourself to have to be right about everything?    If so we can have normal conversation and talk about "cash" and " guarantee" that Hurts is getting.

Right, but we never let him take snaps before that in a real game. Now I can't say if that would help or not. Rust is a real thing and if you have a big lead and the game is in hand let your BU play some

How to the get they ball if it's not dropped on the turf?

They probably don’t if Seumalo just does his job…either of the two straight plays. He doesn’t screw up first time Hurts delivers the short yardage conversion. Dude is money in the bank like we’ve never seen before on those. But even still, if Seumalo blocks his man the next play Hurts doesn’t have the free untouched super athletic rusher(yeah it hurts a little extra since I was so high on drafting Bolton)in his grill to where he’s pressured trying to create so immediately making the mistake. If Seumalo blocks Bolton he’s not there to recover the fumble that wouldn’t have happened. If Seumalo blocks Bolton(his man) then Hurts doesn’t fumble, Bolton can’t recover….and surely isn’t scooping and scoring untouched so far behind all our players. Don’t even believe he had to perfectly block Bolton. Just get any touch on him at all…it likely isn’t happening. But noooo! Can’t blame the best Oline for back to back mistakes. Only Hurts held accountable around here.

I wouldn't say massive.    It was a key component rolling to the left.   Overall the improvements in his weapons were key.   Couldn't penalize him for having that garbage prior to last year.

I thought he has always been extremely accurate on the short passes.
