We had zero answers for their blitzes. After last night it wouldn't shock me to see Wentz as the worst QB in the league.I stated I am not a fan of moving Mailata to the right side(but whatever). We have a boatload of 6 picks next draft,I would trade them all away for a 4th pick.My top 4 needs are DT,LB,CB(maybe 2) and an additional RB,but we will need more than that.Maybe a pair of lower round S's since we will need to spend higher picks elsewhere."Getting guys back" didn't seem to have any effect at all. Thats sad.Right now Hurts seems totally useless also.I was happy with the WR's even though with Reagors speed I was expecting him to be open more. Not a whole lot of pluses last night.Looks like we'll have to pull a Miami.I thought the LB's DID play better, but still lots of improvement neeed there

This was an interesting look at the Curry sack. If you watch the linebackers, they play it like they are supposed to, immediately getting depth and making it tough for the QB to find an open receiver down field. They also work in tandem.

This is what we rarely saw with Gerry on the field. I can think of a lot of plays like this where Gerry ended up in no man's land, and had to rush the qb since he wasn't deep enough to cover anyone, or gave up an easy completion over his head.

Every year we dream of someone becoming temporarily insane and taking players off our hands.Sadly we let the future successes go and keep the lamer ones in the hope some team has mid season brain damage

I think the reality is... How many of our players hold much trade value? And then of those that do how many actually do we want to keep as they are good young players.

I see the trend changing and we are behind. Most college kids come out much more NFL ready than they used to. So teams seem like they would rather opt for the young guys/draft picks rather than pick up old lame rejects from other teams. Of course there are always exceptions, but as a general rule, this is the trend I see because it saves SO much on cap space. I would rather we did this also and instead of paying insane amounts to mediocre players, that we spent it on better coaches and staff (I'm so proud I spaced everything!!!  I need an Oreo)

I watched the all 22 and here are some thoughts.

On offense, Carson was truly awful. On the first fumble, we ran a max protect with only two routes, so I don't know what he was expecting to happen when he rolled out. Several times he had a clean pocket but decided to roll out, which put the oline in a bad position.

Reagor was not great. On the interception he gave up on the route and Diggs made the play he could have. He had two other drops, including one that could have been a touchdown at the end. He did make some nice plays, and I get that he is a rookie, but he needs to get better.

Boston Scott had a good game, but Dallas has really regressed on defense. Their linebackers make Nate Gerry look like an all pro.

I thought Pryor outplayed Herbig, who had some bad moments. As far as Mailata, he was beat a few times when he was asked to "block flat," which Tra Thomas described as engaging the rusher on the LOS instead of pass setting. It's a dumb thing to have him do, and he was beaten in the Giants game as well doing this. I don't understand it, since he was fine when he was doing his normal pass sets. Overall, the line played okay.

On defense, we were more lucky than good. On one play, McLeod had deep responsibility but for some reason tried to jump a shallow route, and DiNucci missed a wide open guy who was running deep. On two separate plays, Edwards and Singleton made tackles that, had they missed, would have been huge gains. On the McLeod TD, we were offside and the play should have been blown dead.

Jacquet was really impressive. He is a tough tackler and showed off speed on several deep routes where he kept up with Cooper. Add him to the roster, please. One person who stood out was Epps. I really like him. I thought Parks also played well. But it's hard to judge how they really did since the Dallas offense was bad.

I think this team could go into next season with a back seven of Edwards, Singleton, Jacquet, Slay, Maddox., Epps and McLeod and be fine, and then use draft picks on a corner, linebacker and safety to upgrade. I see no reason to sign any of the pending free agents, as they aren't doing better than the backups, and in some cases are worse.

Considering this was what his 3rd game and still had a brace on the thumb(sure that effected him some) think he will be fine but yup needs to improve

I’d image good chance Gerry and Mills come back next year as Schwartz favorites

If that was Dak or even Dalton Gallup is open and they make that play all day on Edwards.

It probably means nothing but i've been voting in this precinct for 20 years and it's the first time i've had to wait in line.

Edwards has depth on the play, so even if they get a completion he is right there to make the tackle. Plus, he makes that throw a lot tougher.

Watch any Eagles game featuring Gerry and a similar play to see the difference between them.

Many on here, including myself had stated they have seen Wentz regress. I'm not liking what I see. He is making fairly standard ROOKIE mistakes and looks nothing like the seasoned "pro" he should be.

Edwards is running the opposite direction stopping and changing direction isn’t his strong suit. It’s a fairly easy completion the hardest part would have been Curry effecting the throw but coverage wise Gallup was as open as you generally get in the NFL

Is in terms of Gerry it’s not me comparing the two just the reality that the coverage wasn’t there on Gallup that would have been Edwards zone.... maybe he makes the tackle sure but the pass could have been made and looking in the clip looks like could have been a first down

Edwards to me is again a two down LB I don’t trust him in coverage from what I seen. I think he has a role on this team though. Lucky we don’t really face any QBs that will expose Edwards in coverage possibly Jones or Baker but they are both up and down

But on to the trade deadline any guesses do we make any trades I’m sure we likely won’t hear anything until 4pm when the deadline closes

IDK Wentz was hurried an awful lot by a mediocre D line. We had no answers for their LB blitz packages and weren''t opening terribly large holes for Scott either, so I suppose it depends on your definition of "OK"  In Wentz's defense, it's hard to trust players that keep moving around from week to week. It messes with that clock in your head.

On defense, we didn't seem good enough to shake a rookie QB, who never had one NFL snap. We gave him plenty of time to get comfortable back there and other than a few "flukes" (see 2017 super bowl) we could have easily lost this game. Watching the Gnats last night, we'd better be prepared for a better team than they are being credited for and the one we played last time. I was impressed with their defense against arguably one of the top 5 offenses in the league. One or 2 more games and Freeman could start hitting on all cylinders. I would not "assume" we will beat them.

Nov. 2: Chargers trade CB Desmond King to Titans for 2021 sixth-round draft pick.

Analysis: All parties seem to win here, as King gets a fresh start with a contender after getting lost in the shuffle in Los Angeles. The 2018 All-Pro selection is an immediate upgrade in the slot for a struggling Titans secondary. The Chargers, for whatever reason, had little use for him, playing him in just 54.6% of their defensive snaps and making him a healthy scratch Sunday vs. the Broncos.             We have 4 round 6 picks. this is a deal WE should have made!!!!!

I'm not into the LB debate ..... but Wilson, Brees and Rodgers ????????   Murray even I would put before the 2 you mentioned??????

I mean we don’t play them in the coming weeks and by the time we play Wilson Rodgers etc. Gerry likely will return and I’d image he ends up taking over.

Murray is my fantasy QB in every league. I got him in round 5 (drafting 7th, 8th and 11th) and he's hanging in there with the perennial "big guns"

SO IMO we should have given a 6th for King and while I am all for younger guys and draftees he could help us immediately and as sad as it sounds we are still divisional contenders. He can't be worse than the CB's we have. If he worked out , re-sign him, if not let him walk at seasons end. I view this as a missed opportunity. We have 4 round 6 picks, 2 of those are almost back to back. I would have spent one for him

With the bye week .... and all news being election or how Carson Wentz can't play football anymore....  I am just curious if we make a move at the deadline... buy or sell.  I hope something just to have something else to talk about.  The other stuff is getting old.
