I said earlier he needs to step up NOW or be replaced That got passed over

That’s the right attitude and way to approach this particular player. We’ve invested nothing much at all. But maybe we get a great payoff.

I'll give you that JJAW was a good blocker and ST'er. Other than that he was deadwood.

He worked hard and accepted his role. He was disappointing being drafted so high. But he was better at the Pascal role than Pascal was. Siri loved Pascal and talked him up. But the guy did nothing receiving. Got caught and called on a few pick plays. No Mas blames him on the SB punt coverage.

If you can't play a position,you become a ST'er

Really can’t afford much of just strictly ST players. Need to be an option at some positional job.

I think more so it was in the " after the draft plan"  because if they drafted a TE, they probably wouldn't have signed Arnold.

So I think it's pretty obvious upgrading TE was always in the plan.

Not sure what Arnold says about much? He’s no spring chicken. Never accomplished much. I don’t see him as a good option to upgrade much of anything. Camp body.

Can he fill Mr. Charisma's (JJAW) shoes? If so, that should be an upgrade for you.

I don't know a thing about Arnold.

Pacheco played the SB with a broken hand and a torn labrum

If you look again.. you can also see the field conditions as a factor also.

You don't expect him to make the team?

I just don’t players and agents think that way about Rosie at all. I think his reputation is little rough on that front. Think both know to be leery. He’s very sneaky and cunning. Known to get the upper hand in trades and negotiations.

Where in recent memory do you see a situation where the players or agents seem unhappy with the Eagles..    as far as treatment?

What does " trades" have to do with agents ???

I think you see a pretty savvy agent like Drew Rosenhaus... he makes a lot of deals with the Eagles.   A lot of deals get done quickly.   Lurie pays well... it seems the Eagles always look to give that " prove it opportunity"

I'm not sure where in recent times your comment makes any sense?

I do think there was issues with Doug and Wentz....more so that there wasn't much of a roster built for them.... nothing to do with how players are treated on the way in or out ...especially the injured guys.

So what I try to figure out is why not just use a backup T? Nobody taking Stohl serious as a receiving threat anyway.

I’m not disputing this claim I’d love to have another Geodart guy that does it all but they are so few nowadays.

Honestly whether it is Stoll being able to become a semi competent receiver or guy like Calcaterra/Jackson being able to be a semi competent blocker we need something.

Well I’d think the third needs to be ready to replace either in front of him.

Again as much as I’d love to have this guy the reality is it isn’t that easy to find in todays TEs. More likely we carry 3 and if we lose a guy to serious injury we look to replace them either from a PS guy or FA.

If he is looked at this way then he wouldn’t be getting over on teams or players lmao. He definitely has good relationships with agents and other teams around the league.

Doesn’t mean he is liked by everyone but I’d say he has better relationships with players, teams, agents then he has bad ones

You want the guy who can be a decent blocker and still provide some receiving threat he might be the best option no isn’t a great look for our TE but still.

Arnold did have a in 2020 4/7 games where he had 60+ yards on a bad Jags team with a rookie Trevor Lawrence.

I’d much rather he doesn’t make the team but needs the young guys to step up for that to happen

I had Arnold in fantasy a couple years ago... he had some decent weeks.  He should be an upgrade for sure. TE is tricky position... depends on a lot of factors around you.

Media riding Carter about conditioning early. They’re going to make sure he’s ready.

I don’t really know why it’s being made a deal right now. As Sirianni said these guys have been in hotel rooms and probably not eating the best or sleeping too well.

Sure we’d like Carter to be in great shape right now. Sure you’d like to see your first round pick who’s a physical and athletic beast look the part but it doesn’t matter too much right now. The team will get him ready.

As my grandson found out there's a big difference between being in shape for HS football and being in shape for college football.

My guess is the same thing applies to the Pros.

Looks like our comps are a 3rd, 2 - 5's and a 6th

I think the media is helping things out with Carter. Letting him know he’ll be answering a million questions if he shows up to TC out of shape. Only our media gets this involved with the team.

Please don't give these people any credit.   And then you have to give NY and Boston media credit too.

I think the paycheck and the individual programs designed for each player are what help..  not Reuben Frank or Shore-Parks.

I believe it was made loud and clear to Carter. His life is going to be a nightmare starting day one of TC if he shows up in really poor shape.
