Probably part of the standard weekly moves? Promotions from the PS, releases from the roster to then sign them back to the PS?

I mean we usually waive guys to make room on the roster for someone else. Last week we waived guys to make room for TJ,Ford, Geodart, JP Reagor.

Right now we have an open roster space

I see the trend changing and we are behind. Most college kids come out much more NFL ready than they used to. So teams seem like they would rather opt for the young guys/draft picks rather than pick up old lame rejects from other teams. Of course there are always exceptions, but as a general rule, this is the trend I see because it saves SO much on cap space. I would rather we did this also and instead of paying insane amounts to mediocre players, that we spent it on better coaches and staff (I'm so proud I spaced everything!!!  I need an Oreo)

Good boy! Now sit, shake and give me your paw.

I doubt it is a trade since they get an exemption until a new player passes covid stuff. I am hoping it is to add Jacquet to the roster. I was really impressed by him.

It’s possible but a move is being made doesn’t have to be a trade

Have what about 10mins left until the deadline

No word on any trades. I am in favor of this. Play the guys we have and build through the draft.

It won't be picking someone up via trade. Deadline has passed now.

Yeah, the release today seems odd without making another move... they have a bye, could have done this next week if it were to create room for guys they already have in???? Who knows.

Trade deadline came and went;

So bye week, I usually like to look at the standings, the schedule and see what needs to happen going forward.

Right now... I see Washington having to make a move in their next 4 games... NYG, Detroit, Cincy and Dallas.

Dallas, might bet better as guys come back.

Giants, I think could win division games, not sure they are the worst of the bunch, even though their record says so.

With that said, the tie should help in the standings as teams will have to climb us by 2 wins.  No need to tiebreaker scenario (barring another tie) so all the games mean the same other than obviously a head to head swing one way or the other.

will be interesting to see the mindset of the fans, if we come out of the bye and get 2 wins.  All of a sudden its a 4 game winning streak... will the talk be how Wentz is the worst QB in the league, tank for the pick, we have zero shot of beating a wildcard team...etc.  IDK, but just curious to see how things change on a dime with this emotional fanbase.   Doesn't really change much for me, if we win, I hope another NFC East team can keep pace... I prefer all the games to mean something if possible, just to have the players tested more under some pressure at the end of the season.    The younger ones who have no prior experience in an NFL playoff race.

Wentz has been bad I try to limit some of the mistakes he has made to the changing around of personnel have to get used to guys etc. OL, weather factors etc. But there are plenty of mistakes he is making that he just shouldn’t be doing.

Prime example 1st fumble he rolled out no WRs his direction nobody open just toss the ball away Wentz that simple... Instead held it fumbled.

Think against the Giants he had the across the body heave don’t think it got picked off but should have and just something you don’t do especially 5 years into your career now just a terrible decision and throw

Just a ton of baffling decisions made by Wentz throughout this season.

So Alshon do we find a way to work him into the offense after the bye no way he is still hurt and if he is don’t you think we should IR him open up another roster spot then???

Might kinda suck for Ward but getting Fulgam Some work in the slot where some have said he has thrived at and putting Alshon outside could be a nice wrinkle to add into the O.

Healthy Alshon still likely the 2nd best WR on the team at least.

I like the idea of Alshon in the slot with Reagor and Fulgham outside. But Ertz may be back by the Browns game, so there might not be a lot of snaps for him.

You find ways to get guys involved it’s that simple really Ertz hasn’t done much and expecting him to just wake up after injury shouldn’t be expected either. Go with what’s working guess is my point

Dont want to just have guys out there because of there names or paydays want the guys that are producing

Lot of his fumbles come from him trying to do to much holding the ball to long or trying to throw to late getting hit.... Just has to know to throw the ball away

Edwards to me is again a two down LB I don’t trust him in coverage from what I seen. I think he has a role on this team though. Lucky we don’t really face any QBs that will expose Edwards in coverage possibly Jones or Baker but they are both up and down

If Edwards can be better in coverage than 23 for 23 on targets, then I'd be fine with it.  He's proving every time he's in the game that he makes impact plays.  Gerry can't cover.  I'm done with the narrative that he used to be a safety.  Give me a guy with instincts.  I'm not saying it's a permanent solution, but how could it possibly get any worse in coverage at that position?

That would not be a good idea in my opinion.  We need to be in search (hopefully on the roster) of our next slot guy.  We don't need a slow footed, old, injury-prone WR in the slot.  Not to mention he has zero chance of being with this team in the future.   I'd much rather give Hightower or Watkins a shot.  Honestly now that I'm thinking about it, this might be one of the worst ideas I've ever seen on this board.  Sorry man!

Hightower in the slot? He gets outmuscled on the outside but he's going to be fine in the slot? Really? What a great idea. He can't beat out Ward but he's going to be better Jeffery. And Watkins is an even worse idea.

As far as Jeffery being gone next year, as far as I can tell the idea is to win football games this year, and that means putting guys on the field who can help them do that.
