West is so weak other than the Niners. Seattle has WR but not a QB. Cards and Rams look to be at the bottom of the whole league.

Geno had his career season last year. Mediocre team. They could sweep Rams and Cards. Likely gets them halfway to making the playoffs. I’m not real impressed with anybody in the NFC South….but thinking each of them are better than Seachickens.

Playoffs crushed by Niners

Swept the Cards and Rams. Beat the Jets. Beat the Broncos. That’s 6 of 9 accomplished wins over the worst teams in the league. THE WORST! Got a 17 point lead in the first to beat the Chargers. Then followed that game up by beating the Giants. Highlight of their season right there.

That’s with Geno abnormally playing his greatest.

Seattle wins the West in 2023.

That is a bad assumption on your part to miss all that is Hurts to believe Wentz was comparable. You doubled down to miss what Foles brought to the table comparing him with Mariota that seeming exactly is missing all that.

If you can't contend with a BU QB why do you pay them??? Why would we need one? And you know in your infinite wisdom what Mar can do with THIS team, since you have never seen him play with THIS team??? If he can't contend Mar needs to hit the bricks because if we have no plans to contend with a BU QB,Lurie should sell the team. You think winning is all about ONE guy???? you should know better than this. 9 year olds know better than this. Wentz left years ago.We didn't build this team for Shew either. Foles brought solid, consistent, boring play that caused the other 52 players to step up their games to cover the differences.but they EXECUTED and that's all football is about, executing your plays. Mariota can win games,if you think otherwise, call Lurie because we're wasting a roster spot

I haven’t been hearing "all” backing Love. Many I believe completely question his abilities. Little bit he’s played sure wouldn’t give any confidence. The Pack stinking WITH ARod forced them to move on. Turning to their RB duo for offense is their seemingly only choice. Fields was given Claypool to only have him be frustrated with Fields lack of getting him the ball. Before the trade Claypool was boasting of abilities of such elite caliber. Fields only gets the ball to guys after scramble breakdown drills. You’d think the additions on D for the Bears would help them stay competitive at least.

UH they have to back him,he is their QB LOL. Everyone has a first day. Doesn't matter who your WR's are if you have no Oline. They(bears) added significant players to their team(or were you asleep?) including DJ Moore. Watch Fields go to work this year, then I will reheat the crow I have in the fridge for you. Bears will be right there at crunch time. Fields play like Hurts,he will be fine when they get a team around him. That process has already begun and despite your yacking about Fields being traded, they re-signed him(just like we did Hurts). This year will be alot of learning and gelling and they will continue to add pieces

What does 2022 have to do with 2023?

Seems like a laughable prediction to me. I respect the Niners as real competition for us. Seattle just trying to win more than they lose. I’m not sure I would favor the Seachickens in their game this season against the Commanders at this point.

Most recent look at where a team is at. Not everything. But when their QB has such a long track record…and he freakishly outperformed that last season. I’d say he’s closer to his average than his best season. But even under his best….they solely relied on beating the absolute worst teams just to get to 9-8. Were gifted 6 games against the lowest competition in the league on their schedule.

Same coach from 2022. Much of the same players.

We couldn’t win easy games without Hurts last year..that’s fact! Sad fact…but it happened. Seems most of the league thinks otherwise about Mariota. What I saw was a guy(Mariota) that could play well at times…but then seems to have a real knack of making the most boneheaded play to ruin chance at victory. Mariota was so bad at doing this I even suggested they pull him halfway through the third quarter for a later round rookie to close out games.

I like Seachickens draft pick at Corner and they got a steal at Corner last draft.

I think I’d prefer Sam Howell and Jacoby Brissett(both QBs playing in Wash) over Geno.

49ers signed Hargrave....congrats. That was their offseason.    They lost their RT and 3 defensive starters and a couple decent backups.

Less depth, they are more prone to having  injuries impact their results.

Seattle had a good offseason.  While Geno Smith of way back when who didn't have any decent teammates wasn't any good... the team around him now makes his job much easier.

If Green Bay is supposed to be able to win with RBs...  Seattle has probably a better duo.    3 halfway decent WRs too.

A couple additions to the defense as well.

SF got worse...Seattle got better.    Expectations on SF...they seem a little cocky.  Seattle just a younger team that will go to work.

Seems very conceivable that this year Seattle wins that division.

There was an ignorant @sswhole on NY radio as a kid.. I believe his name was Steve Somers???     I used to listen on Sunday nights before there were sports talk shows 24-7.      He would use 3 year old nicknames calling us " the cheesestakes"   ... similar to the usage of calling Seattle the " Seachicken"

As George and Jerry would say.... " not that there's anything wrong with that"

Of all the things to even begin to correct here I’ll just go with the Bears didn’t resign him Fields…he was already under contract. Really not a bad call if you weren’t feeling any of the QBs in this draft class. Everybody always seems to preach the grass is always greener like stating how strong a QB draft class it was. In fact…might not be a legit guy in the bunch.

How is Eric Allen NOT in the HOF yet????

https://heavy.com/sports/chicago-bears/justin-fields-message-contract-extension-rumors/  Sounds like a year from some guy named Hurts? They are giving him the same opportunity we gave Hurts. They put a team around him and now he will show them like Hurts did. If you can't see the similarity I feel sorry for you. I suspect they give him an extension somewhere through the year(late or maybe they wait). They didn't trade him, like you wanted,so for my money thats like a 1 year extension "Show me". This was a decent QB class,if they didn't "feel" it,they won't next year either . Fields gets re-signed book it. He's just like Hurts, time to put up or shut up and I see no reason he won't do that,so I look for a banner contract year from Fields which rolls into a new contract,so for me he is re-signed. It's on him like it was on Hurts
