I do remember you believing in the fourth round RB though.

Yeah,I think they stole him really. he went late because he didn't play alot, but he seemed just as good as the top guy when he did. i watched alot of film on him

Well he has to be because he is the starting QB. He's gotten plenty of training and snaps I'm sure

Love looked terrible in action so far. Not thinking anybody would even debate that evaluation. I’m not real high on Love. But I’m stopping short of labeling him a bust or all that yet. He’ll get his shot this season to get a much better read on him.

Who else is there besides Favre and Rodgers?

So they must know starting QB's?

I'm sure they will lean on the running game as much as they can early

He has a combination of measurables that I don’t see succeeding on this level. But one way to find out…so we’ll see.

Idk... it's 2 guys where they didn't need anyone else?

In other words, they pick successful QB's?? Why would Love be different? They had many chances to get someone else if they wanted to

In other words... 1990 and 2007 were a different time... I mean the Packers have selected one QB since Dallas won their last Superbowl.

If he wasn't the future they would have lost him not kept him around this long,so they must be good at it

I’d say they blew it by selecting Love. If instead they select any contributing player they probably add a Lombardi.

Hindsight proves they should have moved to Love last season. Didn’t really need hindsight much to see that though. They still got a good haul out of trading him. The money they put towards ARod hurts them though.

Be interesting to hear what offers teams ever made for Love. You’d think last offseason some team had to make some go at him.

Lol... how do you feel about New England selecting QBs?    Because Brady played there for 20 years does that mean they are good at it....or just fortunate that one guy lasted long?

IDK kinda strange GB got "fortunate" twice in a row

I’m frankly amazed at how few championships Favre and ARod delivered for them.

Is it?   I mean 2 picks in over 30 years... is it that strange?   In that time frame the Eagles drafted McNabb, Foles, Wentz and Hurts... 4 guys who made probowls.... and signed Vick, another guy that made the pro bowl as an Eagle.

Wouldn't that mean the Eagles were better at selecting QBs?

I think Green Bay was fortunate that the guys they selected were durable and lasted that long.    I'm not going to say that because they traded for Favre 30 years ago and drafted Rodgers in 2007....that this staff in 2023 knows QBs.

OK Joe I give, you win the pissing contest

Not really a pissing contest.... the team got 2 players who " fortunately " held the position for over 3 decades.

If Jalen Hurts has the job until 2040... i think we all agree it doesn't mean anything when it comes to selecting the QB in 2041.   Especially if it's not the current Eagles front office making the selection.

Jordan Love may or may not work out in 2023 and the future... but Favre/ Rodgers and the different guys who selected them have no impact on that.
