Jemal Singleton could be an unsung large part of this offense. With Brian Johnson stepping up….then under Stout being Run Game Coordinator/ Oline Coach…think Singleton is in some big rooms.

Been going back and watching a little bit of Swift at Georgia and Sermon at Ohio St

You can see plenty to try and be optimistic about their potential.

Not period at all. Overcame clear tampering by the league to be right in the game with KC. They were forced to kick a field goal on this sabotaged playing surface to favor them. But refs were told to give KC the win and called a  ticky tac call on Bradberry to seal the win. That call doesn’t happen? Believe most believe Hurts takes the game to OT to say the least. They robbed us of the opportunity to tie or win at the end.

We blew a 10 point 1/2 time lead-just reality

Chiefs won the coin toss. Deferred. Like most teams prefer. Exactly for the reasoning of how things played out.

Exactly. What happened for 60 minutes on the field had no bearing

2 facts...

1.  Field sucked... league's fault.

2.  Both teams played on it.

Yes, it was clear advantage to both offenses.    Similar to them letting all the holding go when we beat New England.

While BOTH teams play under same circumstances... it was to the disadvantage of the team that had the superior DL. .. us!

BOTH are facts.

It's done,  the subtle complaints were made, the league addressing it absolutely means it was an issue.

Yet there were opportunities for us to not make mistakes ... we did, we lost.

Move on.  Let's win this year... trust me if we get back to the Superbowl...the field will be in better condition. 💯

If it was so disadvantageous why were we leading at the 1/2. We blew a 10 point lead. Yep we made the mistakes

Since Swift and Penny haven't been dream team playing all 17 games,is't it wise to have extras around? IDK that any 1 we have will stand out much. With Swift and gains I suspect we run more RB pass plays than last year

Anyway seems to me Sermon will BU Penny, Gains will BU Swift. Scott kind falls in the middle. Hot hand for every game will get the snaps and that could change with every game unless one of them really establishes themselves

Because the other side is human too.  I agree BOTH SIDES have to play.     Yet why is it so hard a concept to understand that the slippery field works against the DL?

Swift is slippery(aka elusive). Going to be fun watching him with a better team

We are a better team…I hope. But Detroit wasn’t some slouch. Their O is really good. Very strong Oline. Quality OC calling plays. They aren’t the old Lions we’ve been accustomed to however.

Then we would have been down at the 1/2 for the same reason

Just bought the last one. I will have to stuff my fat A88 into a mediuim. Now I can go to a nice place and still push my fandom on everyone lol

Nope we shouldn't have necessarily been down.   KC offense didn't execute first half.    That's the human factor.

Detroit D sucked... that's the reason they weren't better in the standings.   But Ham is correct, their O was good.

Still...our standards are better.. we aspire to have the best OL.   Detroit having a top ten OL for them is unexpected... so they think it's like the 90s  Cowboys or the 80s Hoggs.

Swift having Hurts as a running threat in a spread offense with a slightly better OL and a TE that can block... in a contract year... let's see.

Not a bad way of looking at it

Gotta remember if they hadn’t faced up against us and we failed to come back on them and squeak by…they’d have been 10-7. Turned out to be a good experience when you think about starting the season off in a shootout and it coming down at the end in a shootout.

The Lions lost to us by 3 points. Then to Vikes week 3 by 3 points. Week 4  loss to Seattle by 3. Phins beat them by 4. Bills by 3.

Lions were third in scoring rushing TDs. Just one behind the Cowboys.
