Ped and Siri both made bonehead rookie coaching mistakes/bad play calling. It;s how you learn like anything else. You take your lumps and correct them. A good coach will learn and peak at the end like the players should. Ped looks good now that he is away from Howie and the Wentz debacle,so should we have kept Ped? Do you want Ped back? AR never could get this team over .600-.700 maybe because of my next sentence. IMO the coaching wasn't as effective as Howie learning how to draft. Even a 1/2 arse coach will look good with star players unless you really suck. You wanted Gannon out,you got your wish. The fact we didn't get "your guy" we will hear about the entire year until we hit post season, then it's all good LOL.

Oh geez..  you know the last sentence.  5 years we heard about Ziggy Anzah instead of Lane.   You know this Fangio is going to be annoying ... we can just bring up Miles Sanders instead.

My guy…was the teams guy. Fangio came all but just short of admitting he was taking the DC job in Philly if it wasn’t for the Gannon scandal Rosie had to pursue. Let Gannon go. Don’t offer him so more thanHC money to stay here as DC. If he wants one of the lowest HC jobs over staying here…beat it. Don’t need him. But Rosie  made such a big stink about Gannon leaving he ruined keeping Fangio. Freaking stupid. If not so obvious in the first place….surely should be understood now in hindsight.

Gannon hired by Arizona...announced on February 14th

Fangio hired by Miami ... February 15h.

Why wasn't Fangio offered the DC job after Gannon left?

Of course we should have kept Pedey. Looked pretty good coaching to me when we won our first SB. Not some new revelation come around just now in Jax.

Don't think Hurts and Doug were going to mix.   I give credit to Siri and his staff for setting up an offense around Hurts running skills.

Think Reid needed to leave...probably should have left before he did.  Circumstances in KC with Mahomes and their division are a factor in his success there.

Sometimes you just have to move on.  What wasn't working for you now,  can work for someone else later.   And what wasn't working for someone else can work for you.

You suggested you’ll judge after four weeks…not me. Showed how if your opinion was applied equally Siri would have been fired after his four weeks.

This literally was your statement not mine. You said you’ll judge after four weeks. How can you come back and question me like I said it instead of yourself? Crazy

LOL I look at the team as a whole. By week 4 for you should see what the plans are,how it's executed,so once again you take a statement and twist it for your own benefit. Crazy

SO would you fire Siri to get Ped back? Why or why not

I'm reading up on the Fangio situation... I'm absolutely seeing that he chose Miami instead of Philly or anywhere else.

I think it's silly to always assume everything without getting all the facts... simply choosing to believe one's thet only fit your narrative.

Dude is 64 years old... I'll take the young guy.  Time to move on.

We could have Doug as head coach with Fangio as DC.

Doug would have given Boston Scott the ball more and we would be champs.   Fangio is the best of all time, that's why he was 64 years old and looking for a job.

Age isn't a factor for me as a coach. But I agree we got young guys coming in now and in the future. A young coach should be more "in tune" with the players and the jargon, I don;t need an old guy trying to figure out the young lingo instead of working the playbook

Yeah and we could have gotten Brady here if we overpaid what Tampa did. But there is no "salt life" in Philly lol. So should the Eagles retire Carmichaels jersey? There is a big arguement amongst fans LOL

Ham is all hindsight, what we SHOULD have done. You bring people in,they cop attitudes and the team doesn't mesh, but we SHOULD have done this or that with zero guarantees that wouldn't blow up either. He just hand picks stuff LOL

Personally,Howie changed my mind about him. after some really garbage drafts that really put the coaches in nowhere land,he got his act together. After losing so many good players we are still in the mix for this division. That is not easy to do after a year of those kinds of losses. So Howie re-built the team before it needed re-building-genius

It's a fluid situation to me.   I like Humble Howie.... but when the guy tries to be the smartest in the room, that's when he makes poor moves.

Get ahead of some of the trends is nice... but don't make it rocket science.

How many Qbs throw for 5000 yards this year????     I bet we get a couple.

Hurts should break Wentz's team record for yards.    I expect a lot of passing.

Not really Siri there much. Maybe Siri was being hamstrung by Rosie…we don’t really know. But appeared to be Steichen and Johnson that setup the O for success.

Obviously you missed the whole story about Fangio was going to take the DC job here except for the tampering stink scandal situation he wanted to avoid being around. So we swapped picks with Zona instead of getting our guy running the D.

The only part that could really apply here is that maybe Swift can be much more productive here if managed properly unlike the Lions did with Ziggy and him. Of course, we managed Davis injury poorly last season ourselves. But hard to complain about the injury team situation otherwise.

Yes, I’d have to give the nod to Pedey. Both HC guys are O minded coaches. Pedey is fully running his version of the AR playbook. Siri kind of failed on that front. Give Siri the nod on the player health front.

When are you basing your results? I want them now. This season…and the next few seasons. I don’t see Fangio’s age being a negative factor there. Desai needs on the job training experience. I don’t want to watch him learn the hard ways heavily the next three years.

Fangio all but admitted he was going to take the DC job here if not for the scandal. Drove him to his second choice of Miami.

Being a terrific defensive mind doesn’t make you a fantastic HC. Sorry you can’t see the difference. He’s a DC. Nothing wrong with that. Don’t even think his tenure as a HC failing was even all his fault. But he had a job with us last season. D looked pretty good for most of the season. Big jump from the season before he got here…that’s for sure.

Yeah that old coach AR really stinking things up in this league. Our young guys really showed him.

I’m the opposite of all hindsight. Who ‘calls it’ ahead of time more than I do? As the Bungals say…NOOOOBODY

Losing the Pro Bowl RB does suggest a need to pass more. Goedert is the second key to the O beyond QB1. His health this season is critical to being upper tier statistically.

Is that based on our young DC’s growing pains?
