Risner isn’t starting level talent. Believing  five guys are better than Risner as an option we already possess.

Guess instead of assuming you guys remembered what I have said about Budda Baker since college…I should have just repeated all the reasons I’ve listed as why I’ve been really believing he’s a great player.

Definitely willing to pay Baker more than Ceedy Duce.

BTW Risner would be the BU LG behind Dickerson not on the right side unless things got really brutal

It wasn’t long ago that the Colts’ offensive line was not just the best unit on the roster but also one of the best in the NFL. The collective play in 2022 was mediocre, and the depth has thinned out in a hurry. Will Fries projects as the top right guard, with 2020 draft pick Danny Pinter behind him. Risner is the best available guard at the moment and would likely slot into a starting gig after serving as a starter for all 62 games he played with the Broncos over the past four seasons. Whenever you draft a young quarterback, having as many capable players around him is simply good business. Risner would help Anthony Richardson immediately.     SO,he would start for the Colts(but those BUMS should know ham said he's not starting material despite starting for 4 years in Denver),but not good enough to BU Dickerson-got it, I also remember you were "High on him" in that draft, Faded glory-OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!

So just recapping Risner STARTED every game for 4 years as the LG in Denver. Colts are looking at him as a possible STARTER at LG,but Ham said we have 5 guys better 🤣 and all 5 are better backups to Dickerson. Thats some DAMN AMAZING LG talent we have 6 guys all better than Risner, This makes my arm hair stand up

Actually was thinking myself it is complicated. But to explain my opinion I have to start with acknowledging how great a player I think he is. So I’m willing to do plenty to bring him in. But I also tried to separate and balance the team’s current situation to balance the level of need and urgency our team has. Last offseason we were desperate for a S. This year the position wasn’t completely ignored. So the desperation isn’t there nearly as much. 

Well, the last three years proved to not be the case. Since that stellar 2019 season, Risner has struggled mightily. He constantly got beat in pass protection and never seemed to be able to pick up a defensive stunt.

Playing poorly on a bad Oline…with him being a big problem starting….meant he lost a starting job to be replaced by a true starting caliber player. 

So you start with Risner on the level of play he isn’t bringing of enough quality. Then you get to the missing intangibles. The poor teammate he’s been rumored to be. And so on…

You just can’t disregard thinking about a player that’s in the discussion of being the best at their position. Baker I’d look at as a better investment than Slay or Bradberry were at this point. S are cheaper ….
