Yeah.... Kelce, Jurgens and Dickerson.... having those guys on the team is pretty bad.  Very weak compared to the rest of the league.

Those guys are looking good. But the seeming plan is for few reps at C all PS and TC from any of them at C. Go to number four now…Toth.

I don’t think the whole league has a HOF C likely in his last career season…while having his backup starting at G. With the third (maybe even second) best option starting at LG reportedly already taking things light nursing some injury.

I agree...I don't think any team has it this good.     Agree 100% .  Next topic.

Hurts shouldn't practice ... can't take chances with anyone before week 1.

You going to allow our defenders to hit QB1?

A concern that the guy can't play in a game.  They can get a coach to snap the ball....for practice reps.  Come on now.

But let me ask .... what do we have behind Cox, Carter, Davis, Ojomo, Williams... can the backups handle the practice reps?

After Reddick, Graham, Sweat and Smith... we may not be able to get much pressure off the edge.

One Dline defender can’t do the damage one C can nearly as easy. I can’t be the only one that’s watched the starting C go down and seen a guy come in at C that’s so bad the whole offense is messed up. Just no comparison. C and QB can screw up that whole side of the ball. A WR runs the wrong route usually not that big a deal.

Before week one…the issue might need addressing. We’ll see. Three good options not taking reps has no effect on that play.

But I just was pointing out how the C position could be a bigger issue than clearly you have been willing to even consider.

Anyway….made my points…take it or leave it. Just hoping Toth gets it straight…or they bring in somebody capable. I’m only talking TC and PS games. Just getting the team prepared, developing…maybe finding out about the quality at each position.

Stout is the man! But thought last TC having Jurgens to take such a huge load at C was a real nice way to go about things considering Kelce situation.

But is looking like they’ve locked in giving Jurgens every opportunity to win the RG job. Heck even got his plaid coveralls the starters all wore. Now available in stores hahaha

You are not pointing out anything.   We have depth at C.   Probably best in the league.

You are concerned about practice.   That's not the same as a game.

Mailata, Dickerson, Kelce, Jurgens,  Lane

Kelce gets hurt...

Mailata, Dickerson, Jurgens, Driscoll, Lane

Jurgens gets hurt...

Mailata, Opeta, Dickerson, Driscoll, Lane.

Obviously losing Kelce is a concern as is losing any All Pro.   However,  if the next 2 guys to replace him are already starters... then really the concern is the next 2 guys.

To me my next concern if Kelce was already injured... would be losing Lane / Mailata.    To me it seems Driscoll is the 6th man regardless of who goes out first.... but where do you want him playing?

The depth at T to me right now should be main concern. Who is the 4th T.    Jurgens and Dickerson being the next 2 at C... seems pretty good. Driscoll and Opeta/ Steen at G...  that seems serviceable.     Driscoll and who else at OT????    That could really limit the offense.

Toth in camp... not my concern

Nah….I enjoy the crushing blow after they get all super hyped about how they are SB bound after week6. Like that beat down of the Gmen last playoffs. They really thought they were so much better than they actually were after their playoff victory. Their fans were believing they were actual contenders. Then Bam!!!!! Got embarrassed by the real contenders. That was so great!

That's what it means?????

Obviously contemplating the more extreme version of Toth sucking…and not just being serviceable. But so much more to the job than just snapping the ball. As long as you’ve watched this game I’m figuring you’ve witnessed a train wreck C have to come in. Nothing can sink an O quicker. There is timing of snap, quality, blocking read….then actually performing his blocking assignment. These guys out there practicing like an hour. Not all just lining up 11 on 11 either. So efficiency in practice is very crucial. Under Siri more than ever before. Is the team getting quality practice reps in? Or is the Toth so bad he’s screwing up too much for the team to get their work done? Most positions aren’t as crucially dependent as C. Bad snap? Fumble….then instincts are scramble and dive in on these other Olines knees and ankles going for the loose ball. Could just simply mess up the timing of the play. Or in the middle of the line a misstep could get the guy next to him injured…or the QB.

WOW you have the FUTURE plays all figured out. Which game will this be in so I can heavy bet it? if Toth sucks he won't be on the field ............EVER!!!! Why do you make up these scenarios??? This is what PRACTICE is for,to weed them out. How else do you know if they suck unless they practice???? Siri isn't seeing this?? I think he is. By the same token you give the lesser players EVERY chance to make the team. As things progress, you make your cut decisions. it happens every year. IDK why this year is suddenly different. If Toth stinks he goes away and we'll snag another teams cut that is better or he goes on the PS. From a SB appearance to losing a load of good players, then producing a team that will contend AGAIN within a year just shows how awesome Howie is. IDK of anyone else that could have done it. Not all acquisitions work, you know that. SO why in the world do you think Toth would play AT ALL??? Our "Professionals" aren't going to collapse from a few bad practice snaps please. This isn't Pee wee's

Manage his reps. As in very very little wear and tear or chance of nagging injury opportunities are risked until real game action. Even then pull him as quickly as possible in blowout scenarios.

LMFAO I have no response to this(but I'm gonna try anyhow),Totally moronic. EVERY snap is an injury chance. When has Kelce been injured for any length of time? He is the #1 C in this league and now you're going to ":manage him"? I think not. Once again you are back to "pull everyone out" when clearly they want to go out and kick arse. You don't "manage" guys, you let them do their jobs and earn their pay. And while I'm all for tossing a few guys in in garbage time, make sure it's garbage time first. leading 28-24 with 3 minutes left is not that time. You want to "manage" Kelces time and put Hurts at risk? Really? If Kelce gets hurts he and the coach will decide if he comes out,not you. These guys want to play,EVERY snap they can. Some even play hurt because they are ballers. Then you have fools(like Miami) that rush Tua back in for repeated injuries. I see no indication from this staff that we are that STUPID

So to me the effing up of position is possibly….just possibly now….at C.

So fix the C spot and now have issues at LG??? You're only shifting the problem, not solving it

9 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

I’m just logically going through the depth chart options. I’m just not ruling out the need for the backup C(Jurgens) to get heavy reps before week one. Just like last year.

When did the birds hire you to make these decisions? Asking for a friend

9 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

How many chances you taking with Kelce before week one arrives?

What do you mean chances? I though Toth was snapping? And why you are in panic mode? Kelce will play, maybe even the last pre game. You're like a quija board looking for demons. let Siri and the staff do their jobs. You have to trust them, because literally you have no choice at this point

9 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

Not sure what you’ve been reading…but multiple source word is Toth has been horrible. Like possibly dropped before cutdown day bad. But he supposedly offers position flexibility. He can play all along the Oline badly evidently.

So he goes away. It's part of the process. SO???? We find another #3 C who can play better. And? He probably never plays either. IDK why AJ is taking snaps,he could get hurt. Smith needs to ride pine as well. If Siri thinks Toth could be the #3 RG maybe he stays. Thats up to Siri, not me or you. You are already in panic mode over a #3 C and we haven't even played a pre game yet

9 hours ago, joemas6 said:

Does anyone think that there is another possibility of someone else playing center ( other than Kelce) ...if Jurgens is playing RG?

If not... then why is this a conversation?

Do we really think other teams have better situations?

Would not shock me if we lose Toth and Howie signs a vet BU C. Siri tells Howie what he needs and so far Howie has delivered. If Toth stinks he won't be here

Did you play sand lot ball when you were little? I did. Sometimes I skinned my knee, or fell wrong/got tackled and was sore for few days, but I was back at it the next weekend and I wasn't even getting paid. Now you're telling our PRO staff they don't know what they're doing? If Toth is that bad he will never see the field

OH man,get the slides out because we're putting everyone under Hams microscope LOL. If Toth make a bad snap don't they whistle the play dead and try again? We did in HS and I assume this staff is better than what I had in HS. Sometimes coach would let the play go to see how players reacted to a muffed play, but I never felt put at risk. Toth will be making snack runs if he stays here at all. So a play gets muffed and the QB picks up the ball and tries to run, doesn't put him at injury risk? "No big deal?" IDK why there are pages and pages on this topic. Siri will make the call who stays and who goes. meantime he will PUSH HIS 2nd,3rd and 4th stringers so he can make intelligent decisions. ALL these guys have been through this multiple times

How about Joe Haeg as a BU T/G? On the downside of his career, still could be a nice BU

Josh Sills found Not Guity of rape.

Do the Eagle still have the rights to him?
