It's why I said that I wouldn't be opposed to taking a stud receiving option in the draft if it was there.  To solidify the 4 targets all as top guys.  A matchup problem for the defense... REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES.

Yeah... seeing Penny in the slot is going to cause nightmares for the defense....then we can rotate Stoll... phew...sleepless nights there.

I listed the guys we can rotate and yeah it would cause problems since you have to watch film on 5 guys not 1 lol

We don't have a Kupp, that's why I wanted JJ before. He was a major slot threat. So we have a committee on the 4th receiving option because we have Quez, not Kupp and he is nowhere near the talent of Kupp

Right.... that's been my point.   The committee isn't as good as having the one guy that would play in all circumstances.

For the passing game.

Running game is a totally different story.

I wanted a WR also, but it is what it is. Howie went line,so on we go

Well we have the committe, may as well use it to our advantage

Omg....the film study on Stoll and Penny receiving... they absolutely will put the all pro CBs on those guys.

Maybe Zaccheus sticks at slot IDK,we don;t know yet

Right...so again...it's why I said it's nice to have a few options.    Just not as good as having the one best option that you wouldn't take out.

It's not complicated what I'm saying...is it?

Nope would have to be S or LB. Not all teams are great there and we can exploit that. No CB's involved

No,but we have to work with what we have not what we dream of having

Right... do not disagree at all.

Swift they don't need to worry about as a receiver???

So your slot options are Quez,Zach,TE2,swift,penny,Gains as opposed to watching 1 guy who is locked in you have to deal with 6 different skill sets on defense just for the slot spot

Right... I'm fine with that.   But my comment on your initial post still remains.   I'm not going to get excited about Penny or Stoll or any of the other receiving options.

I already came into the summer thinking the passing game and the offense will be better with this group.  Was never a fan of Sanders impact... so I'm ok, but not extra excited to see Penny, Stoll etc receiving the ball.

So we lack that one top slot, but we can create havoc with the 6 we have as all I'm saying

Swift....would already be on the field in my scenario right?    RB and 4 receiving options.

Well it could happen,I cant rule it out. So we'll see how they use all these players

All I'm saying is that it's nothing extra ... we already knew we were going to rotate a bunch of ok options.  Having more of them is nice...but doesn't move the needle

Or Swift at RB and Penny coming out and running a slot,or vice versa. 2 RB set with 1 taking off on a route

IDk if it does or not, will be fun seeing what happens there

Ok... Penny or Kupp... Kupp all day.  My point remains... I'm not getting excited because of Penny, Stoll or any other 4th receiving option

IDK Swift can be brutal on a route. He's not Kupp either but he is a viable force as a receiver

AJ,Smith,Goedert and option 4 which we can vary by game as needed

Off to the docs, nice chat. I'm excited to see this offense moreso than last year

Guys will get stats by default.   Like Sanders... doesn't mean it moves the needle.

See you and I see things a little different and it's ok.   You were annoyed at Sanders in 2021 because he didn't score a TD.  I'm looking at the team production... they ran it better in 2021 as a team.  In 2022 Sanders was the guy they gave the stats to...but the team didn't rush better because Sanders scored TDs.

It's going to be same in passing game.  Penny, Stoll will make some catches by default.    Swift coming out of the backfield will however... that will change things.

I feel that we will be better receiving from the backfield spot... but nothing major from that 4th receiving spot.
