Yeah. ..Sanders was not all pro.  Let's relax there.

Huge reason we had no parade was he couldn’t be effective in the big game.

This doesn’t make much sense to me. Swift was thrown away by his team. Sanders was All Pro last season. Swift isn’t considered an improvement by anybody …but I guess now you.

It will make sense to you when you see Swift is a better option in the passing game.

The Eagles had a better run offense in 2021...when not giving Sanders the ball as much.

Sanders got his....the team rushing went down. In a season they were ahead 90% of the time.

The team can spread it out now instead of forcing Sanders the ball.  Will be better.

IDK if he an improvement yet or not. I need to see him play with THIS team to make that call

He is Carolina's problem now.

Meant Pro Bowl …not All Pro. Simple obvious mistake.

We lost by 3,how about the freebie 7 give-away. Are we back on this BS again?

The beauty of the O last season was doing whatever worked versus the opponent. If they couldn’t stop Sanders…gashed the opponent on the ground. But some weeks the opposing D couldn’t stop the passing game..so kept gashing then that way.

We dominated rushing all season…but couldn’t rush the ball for squat versus KC’s D. No case can be made about their D being super run stout for any reasoning. Lost by three to a team that out ran us on the ground utilizing Rb. Our supposed easy and obvious strength…they Pachenko’ed us!

Yep 75 yards rushing obviously means 38 points...  the obvious score when you think of the dominating 75 yards.   All time performance there for sure.

What this team has done so well when having winning quality seasons lately is…FINISH! Get the lead….then the pressure really increases on our opponent that game…because of the dominate rushing attack. Been great at salting away games in the fourth quarter. Running …WHEN THEY KNOW IT’S COMING. Up a score and killing the clock on the way to scoring to finish.

Yes I think Pachenko doing that was the counter that was too much for us to handle. The doubled effect of not getting it from our O really highlighted the flipped script.

We should have been grinding controlling clock more to keep Mahomes off the field more. Going against Rock Star QB game planning 101. Then they don’t get to 38. Control the game more. You know…like this team has done when successful most all the rest of the time lately.

We went into half time ...our offense scored 24... their offense scored 7.

Then our first drive of the 2nd half took 7:45... for a FG.    We never touched the ball with the lead after that.

No opportunity to grind clock with a lead.  7:45 is pretty good though ... the only time we had the ball in the 2nd half with a lead.

If you start a game... where you score 24... and they score 7.    You take that every time.

Then your first drive of the 2nd half takes more than half of a quarter... you score.   You take that every time.

Obviously two things...  1.  You gave them a free 7 points in the first half.   2.  You couldn't stop them in the 2nd half,  especially their passing game.

15 carries for 75 shouldn't lead to 38 points

And you shouldn't have the ball only once with a lead in the 2nd half..if your offense outscored the opposing offense 24-7.

The Martin drama in Dallas is hilarious.

Great night for the Phillies... fun time of year when the baseball team is doing well.

What dominates a rushing attack> 1 RB or the O line???

IMO the RB is the last piece to that puzzle.

The formula used last year for the Eagles... get the 3 score lead first half.  Then the long drives ...some ended in FG just to add a score... that always seemed to put the game in the 4th Q and limit the opponent's drives.

If we look at the Superbowl...  24-7 without the Hurts fumble.  ( 3 score lead)  then the 7:45 drive for a FG on the first drive of 2nd half.    Then a TD drive later.

That was the formula all season.

What was different in the SB?

1. Hurts fumble between the two drives where KC punted... HUGE momentum swing plus the free 7 points.   Shrunk the lead to 10.

2.  KC gets ball first and scores... brings lead to 3

3.  After our FG on the long drive, KC scores to take the lead.

The difference was the Hurts fumble and that our defense couldn't stop them once.

KC had the ball 4 times... 3 TDs and a FG

With a 17 point lead ( without Hurts fumble)   the math still works for the Eagles...we scored 10... 35 to 31.

But more importantly the clock became an enemy being that the 2nd time we has possession in the 2nd half, we were already losing.

Let's look at KC offense in 2nd half and really see the impact of Pacheco vs Mahomes.

4 drives in total

1st drive

Pacheco = 3 carries for 10 yards.  First 2 plays of drive 9 yards, ends drive on 1 yard TD.

Mahomes = 3 for 3 ( 26 yards) plus a 14 yard scramble

2nd drive

Pacheco = 2 carries for 20 yards back to back

Mahomes = 6 for 6 ( 46 yards)  TD pass

3rd drive

Pacheco = 1 rush for 1 yard

Mahomes  = 1 for 2 with a 4 yard TD pass on 3rd down

4th drive

Pacheco = 4 carries for 17 yards... 3, 2, 10, 2... each.

Mahomes = 3-3 (17 yards) plus the penalty on Bradberry...  plus a 26 yard scramble.

Pacheco 10 carries for 48 yards, TD

Mahomes.. 13 for 14 ( 93 yards)  2 TDs.. plus 2 runs for 40 yards.

If you look at Pacheco... 2 carries back to back for 20 yards...  early in the 2nd drive.

The other 8 runs for 28 yards..

Compared to allowing the QB to make all the key plays... 13 out of 14 only incomplete pass was 2nd and goal right before he throws a TD on 3rd down.    2 big scrambles to keep drives alive..  40 yards.

Pacheco was nice... nowhere the difference or the impact.   Especially when you look at the context of the timing of the plays.  Mahomes made all the key plays.... without making a mistake.   He was the difference. Or rather the inability of the Eagles to stop him in the 2nd half.

Yeah,I still want to see some come from behind wins. We don't respond well when we get behind. Maybe Siri panics,but the wheels come off easily. I hope this tougher schedule fixes that issue because we're not going to lead in alot of these games,the wins will have to come in the 4th

Great post and right on. It shoots down the bad field conditions. And while they were AWFUL it was the same field we had in the first 1/2. I wasn't happy with the bad PI call at the end either,but you need to expect some crap calls and play above them. Hurts had the best game of his career,so you can easily see how 1 BIG mistake just wipes that away. It was impressive to me the way KC didn't quit. Not that I expected them to,but that free 7 sure inspired them. AR saw we could not get a pass rush due to field conditions and played off that. You change the play book when you understand the D can't get to your QB
