Saints signed Jaylon Smith

Think he was the best guy left out there at LB.We’ll see how things play out. But I would have given him a shot over Jack and Cunningham though.

McPherson ahead of Josiah Scott in the slot CB

Hurts didn’t have the bread and butter rushing from anybody else to counter the D coverage. Forced to use No RB backfields even. It definitely matters how both teams operated.

You seem to conveinently forget Pacheco was a nobody, until he wasn't.

Not a high pick and certainly not a big name RB.

Where did you get that thinking from me? You look at how the Chiefs invested a good amount at RB. The first round pick didn’t work out so much. I love guys that have to earn things the hard way in the league.

Happens all the time that lower picks turn out better than the hyped players.

Can find gems at all positions …practically anywhere. Mailata about the best example.

ASG I never put a label on anybody because of their draft position. Well that’s not true. Expectations are much higher for high picks. Just the way it goes because of the investment.

But Tom Brady and Kelce and so on prove the draft gurus don’t know everything. But the higher picks usually contain the measurables you can’t get later usually.

I love rooting for the underdog. They usually are the guys that are hungry. Some of the top guys can be to ‘Superstar’.

High picks tend to get stuff handed to them much more. Get the start and reps based on draft investment. Guys like Boston Scott and Darren Sproles have to scrap for everything.

I see you wanting plenty of players based on their names. My point is there are very few big names (Barry Sanders) that don't have to prove themselves on the field.

But I love to watch the guys with exceptional special ability. Rather see Mike Vick in person much more than a Geno Smith type.

I have a solid knowledge of plenty of guys that are in the league. So gotta be careful to weed through big names that were overhyped. Or known names because they can play. They all have names. But I base my opinion on how they play at this level…and fit for what we do. Good players that don’t fit…really don’t help you much. Queen is the LB I’m believing can be obtained. Jack and Cunningham are high picks that are the names….to me.

Jonathan Taylor was the league leading rusher. So we all learned his name from exceptional play.

Taylor already has familiarity with Siri also. I liked Sanders more than Siri did. So obvious he wasn’t staying around. Think Taylor is the exact style that Siri would love to have.

But during last PS I favored Blankenship over much more well known names. So I disagree with me buying into the hype.

Jack is the exact ‘name’ guy to me. I’m not impressed. He went high in the draft. Been coveted during his career. But reality is he has played this whole time and never makes any plays.

Kelee Ringo listed as second stringer outside.

Demarcus Murray was also the leading rusher the year before he came to the Eagles. They ran him into the ground.

I think that's one of the reasons i'm so skeptical about signing big names for big dollars.

BTW i wouldn't want Derrick Henery for exactly that reason

Doesn't he have a degenerative knee problem

On a bright note after redshirting his freshman year my grandson will finally make his NCAA debut at Oklahoma State in Stillwater on September 2nd.

Now a 6'5" 260 pound TE
