Returning is probably the main job for whoever gets that last WR spot. Four WR locked in. So one big guy probably gets one open spot left. That just leaves a speed guy option that has to do returns.

Well.. I'm a little uneasy seeing a guy on here " craving" a player.

But for future reference....I'm all in for getting the best player,  but on a trade back...this way it's noncommittal and I can never be wrong in the " I call it game"

You play it safe always and only work in hindsight. So nothing for you to call. Only thing I remember you ‘calling’ was that the P hadn’t screwed up and cost us a game yet. So it wasn’t likely to matter. So you had the thoughts of who cares about a P.

As I stated "he would be a decent BU for Smith". Did I say he would start for us(no). Is he better than the journeymen we have(yes and Miami thinks that too)

Nope he wouldn’t back up Smith. Watkins would take over for Smith. Olamide would take over the slot with AJ the other side.

Yeah I said this already that it may be time for a change LMAO,but glad you "called it"

Well why can’t you just simply post that you agree with me on this instead of stating it like that?

Carr and Mahomes played today quite a bit. Yeah Joe we disagree on this every year, but I don't like treating the last pre game as a bye week. I think it would be beneficial to let the 1's play a series. Ham will be denouncing me here about "risk of injury" which is a valid point, but sucking the first 1/2 of game 1 can lose the game for you if your players are rusty. We saw evidence of this last year in the Detroit opener which we easily could have lost

You can’t risk your season on a practice game. Siri finds the joint practices the best way for readiness. Gives other players to compete with. After already competing against everybody on our 90.

I never questioned Carters ability,I was questioning his character. I don't want to start the "all prison" team here so yep,I was leary about taking him when the BS began. Regardless you or I would be in jail for leaving the scene of an accident, even for an hour. Someone lied because if they release you they want to know where you will be and he wasn't there(where he said he would be) So anyhow that is all under the bridge now,but Ham has to make a deal out of nothing,so whatever

Seems like you made the big deal. Not I.

So here is a question. Last year Sermon ran 2 snaps for us with 9.5 YPC. Seems to me that would warrant a few more snaps??? I mean until he un-proves himself with a YPC drop it would seem to me he still makes this team. He got a TD behind the JV O line and Ham is ready to toss him out(he musta peaked already with 2 snaps to his name in Philly)

Well I already was pissed at rostering him last season. Stupid to waste such a limited spot on the 53. Team was a field goal short . On an all in season. Pisses me off. Can’t go back and win that SB now

If Sermon couldn’t beat out Scott or Gainwell….how good could he be? PS level RB

last pre game starters should play some.. Got to get the rust off and make some contact. Book is crap,no need for him to embarrass the other guys trying to make the team

If you chose you need the starters to play….it wouldn’t be the last game. Makes no sense. Long season. But you give them every opportunity to recover and heal up before week one. No way the last PS game.

The last preseason game is the one where starters don't play... you play the bubble guys so you see which one you want to keep or cut.

That's been the the way its been around the league since i can remember.

Always thought it dumb they ever had to cut down from 90 before that last PS game. That’s the best opportunity for those guys to get film. Or actually make the team.

I’m just not getting into this anymore. He wasn’t a part of any accident.

The point is how is letting your 1's play the last pre game any more risk injury averse that playing them in the first pre game?. They can get hurt and be out for the season in pre 1 just as well as pre 3. I would rather have them tuned up for game 1 than rusting on the sideline

All kinds of possible injuries. Season ending injuries it wouldn’t matter. But most of the time is lesser injuries. During the season you see all the time that a couple days makes a huge difference. See the Thur night game performances..

Except one of those is our starting slot??? 🤣 What do we have Ward for? We've never lost both WR's at the same time? I'm buying you a new shovel because you are wearing out the one you have digging this hole deeper. Anyway you look very foolish, because Miami saw the same thing I saw, a chance to upgrade the room(which they quickly did). You can ignore your ignorance all you want. Fact remains he would be an upgrade for any team as a BU over camp body journeymen. If Coutee was so bad he'd still be out there. The fact he was snapped up within 48 hours proves you wrong

I think you didn't get all the details on Carter's situation.  There was more information that came out later....I was trying to explain that to you for a while.

Regardless....next draft just say you want a player... but on the trade back.   This way it's similar to Reagor/ JJ... and you can try to spin why you wanted Reagor over JJ... lol.

Like S last draft. It’s hard to trade back with just one player in mind. Trading back further than a couple spots ….you need multiple options. When you have a few guys in that area…you know you can get one. That draft with Reagor was stacked with WR. I was high on Ceedee Lamb that draft I believe. But had enough doubts about JJ to not believe he was locked in to be so good. Second best on his team at LSU. Didn’t know those two would become the best in the league. We’ll Chase I knew.

But only on the trade back ( that we know is always a guarantee to get back in the range you want)

Look at the WR that draft that went round two. I wasn’t wrong about that. Several turned out very good. Same with the grouping of S this last draft. Already several looking strong.

Dude...I'm trying to say do what Ham does....every year he says he wants to trade back...and " this group of players"  its noncommittal and so he can spin Reagor over JJ.

When you analyze the draft like I do… you can pick up on that a position maybe has a sweet spot.

But I'm certain they took him because he was not an upgrade to their room

What does their options competing at 6,7,8 and 9 have to do with ours? Stuff like that you say is why it doesn’t make sense. Totally different team. Different situation. They built everything around speed. So they need backups with speed just to keep their system intact. But you are missing the details again. Specific players on our 90 man roster…and the specific players on their 90 man roster. Huge whiff by you.

Who said? The returner can't be a RB? Is there some unknown law in Hamityville we don't know about? It can be anyone Siri chooses it to be

Two players go down then you’re getting closer. Just Smitty? Then no. If he was so great…he wouldn’t be available is more like it.

Teams don't build around speed? Don't they all TRY to???? He's not better than our 6,7,8,9??? Seriously????
