Why did they lose Dennard?

Ham excited over JV play LOL. He really needs to be a Pee Wee announcer 🤣. You will see lots of "excellent" plays in pre season JV mode. Good sign of things to come, but there is alot more work to put in

Moro Ojomo you’ve already been exposed plenty from my pick as the Diamond in the Rough/Sleeper.

You apparently like all of Ray Didingers guys.

I'm sorry if I am out of line here,he made some good plays and that shows promise,so I'm glad Ham is excited. When he does this with the 1's in a playoff game I would be excited,so I guess I'm just a downer LOL. Eli Ricks had a pick 6,so there are some nice signs showing through, but I don't get excited until it's consistent

I want Ham to answer why Dennard left.     The answer is exactly contrary as to why Gannon ain't no how no way ..coming back

Tyree Cleveland looked good at WR,but there again it's against the JV. So I suppose I should be happy they are winning the battles on a JV level, shows possible transitioning from college to the pros,so thats good, but my pom poms stay in the trunk for now. Despite the reels and vids and accolades we lost the game(or the JV's did)

Imo... if the young DBs can step up...it's huge on ST units as well.   Get these young athletic kids on ST and it helps a lot.

Some promising signs that Howie did another great job with the draft. IDK why Ricks fell off the radar,he was once in the top 50 draft conversation(unless I missed something) That was a totally epic fall

https://www.rollbamaroll.com/2023/4/27/23700151/2023-nfl-draft-preview-eli-ricks-the-tempting-enigma-at-corner  Lots of injuries, enough so that noone wanted to touch him,yet he was still a third rounder when they wrote this article here,so Howie does take alot of chances on injured players picking them up late. Dean was another

From this and the film ham posted it looks to me like he is almost a pseudo LB playing that mid off center area

Re: the Gordon "tackle" A younger guy woulda jumped over him and been GONE,so let's not get real excited vs JV's(or old guys losing their athleticism) yet. He shows promise for a rookie,so we'll see as the season goes. I think he has lots of potential

You’re missing what I think I’m seeing here.

  • Author

You don’t see how he has that finishing trait?

  • Author

Not taking the perfect angles and such first action as a pro. But bursting at to finish. Made the tackle with that finishing move.

  • Author

Don’t have to be super optimistic view point to believe he’s going to close that gap with any pro coaching and experience.

  • Author

Learn to stay just a bit more squared up and taking a slightly better angle.

  • Author

One step of better efficiency and he’s using that skill to crush and annihilate. I see it being honed to force fumbles.

  • Author

Look how he makes the play. A but over running Gordon. But he can’t hurdle. Sidney gets it done. Competitor that just won’t let it happen to him.

  • Author

Same thing where he gets the guy deep barely snagging. But got him. Made the play.

  • Author

Totally correct to point out he’s not polished enough that he gets slightly out of position on both plays.

  • Author

But that seems coachable to me.

  • Author

Cut out that one step too much each time. Keep himself slightly more balanced and centered.

  • Author

Easy to assume that improves over his long career here.

  • Author

That competitive get it done…you see from him though…that translates to big moments and games.

  • Author

He looks like a gamer to me! Plus he clearly seems to be focused and a hard worker.

  • Author

All this points to a player very likely to succeed. That can be reliably trusted.
