CMC gets hurt every year.  SF lost their RT...and a few key pieces on D.   Hargrave cashed in...  very overrrated player.   They will take a step back this year .

Hargrave lead our D to a near team  record setting sack record

The Niners drafted high on their DT to pair with that monster they have in Armstead. 6’7” and like 290. Strong as anybody. But he was disappointing for them. Mediocre. Not terrible. But on that Dline mediocre is weak. Perfectly setup to thrive in that spot. Hargrave and Armstead is a nightmare to deal with. Really. A nightmare! That’s before talking about defensive stud of the year….Bosa!

Main loss the Niners suffered was just losing McClinchry..their RT

Aren't you a guy that loves the safety position?  Jimmy Ward won't be a loss for them?

Kelce is HOF. Total all time stud C. But you can only use but so many tricks to deal with those monsters. Jurgens I can’t believe is remotely ready for either one. He’ll never be in my view. Even Dickerson isn’t a favorable matchup on them. As good as Mailata has turned out….Bosa is a problem for him. Myles Garrett been abusing Mailata. No real shame there. Garrett is right there as the best. But probably right behind Bosa.

He sucked to the point where they needed to bring in help to stop the run.

How did Bosa do vs us in the playoffs?

Then what do I need to say about Fred Warner? I really not sure there has been a LB do what he can…and routinely does. He controls takes from that MLB spot. He seems to be able to cover most everywhere. No version I picture Gainwell or Swift breaking his ankles….or breaking a tackle on him. He’ll crush them. Like likely hurt them while getting the ball out on either of those level RBs. So we don’t have the advantage in the trenches. No matter if the Oline stays fully healthy. Is considered the top Oline league wide. They get the check mark in the trench warfare. Jurgens isn’t moving Armstead. He’s likely getting made look foolish. Not even any real dig on Jurgens first year at RG. Armstead and Hargrave do it to eveybody. That’s been apart. With OC doubling and focusing on them. Likely getting the C to double with a G. At least bringing in a RB double help. Now they are side by side. Who you going to double? Pick your poison. They both beat doubles routinely. So even the guy you choose to try that on….doesn’t insure you handle that DT. Having one guy try either one by himself? Oh man…you know they both are salivating this opportunity. So the Niners busting through up the gut…consistently. That’s just a given. The guy chosen to just single block is coming rapidly. The doubled choice is sadly probably not even that far behind. Scary to think on anybody dealing with that combo. That’s straight in the middle. Best Oline going to collapse in the middle of the pocket. Much less if anybody gets injured and have anybody less than a starter. That’s just the two DT. But you gotta deal with the best pass rusher in the league in Bosa. Clearly deserving of extra attention and a double team. How can you even? Can’t double three guys in a row.

Nah…he got replaced by the guy they ended up keeping. They found a vet gem they unleashed. That’s next to their stud S Hufanga. Great S tandem. They have a young S that shows potential also unfortunately.

Only thing with the guy that stole Ward’s job is he’s like 32.

You have had a hard on for SF for years.   They " cleared cap"  back in the day.  They don't win the West this year.

This is a true point of his negative. But that was especially true against a double team. He really struggles to hold his ground against a combo run block. That and he almost so singularly focuses pass rushing. He can be reliably played against predicting he’ll slice for penetration. That can be used to predict a lane by him. But next to Armstead…instead of twilight Fletch…. If you do double him to run there? That leaves that Monster Armstead singled. You think Jurgens alone handling him? Can’t even dream of Jurgens playing at that level ever.

We had a great gameplan that worked out fantastic on him. Don’t see a guy of his insane abilities falling for that again however.

Why are you obsessed with Dec 3rd matchup?

You mean stay in front of him?

If you think you can rely on us nullifying Bosa consistently you just are in lala land.

You " crave" the flash part of the game.  It's why you love SF and Dallas... yet can't stand the way the Eagles do things.   Regardless that the Eagles have had more success.

It's what it is... you love college ball and the 1970s NFL.

Lane owned him.  He then has to chase Hurts.   Besides... there are 17 games, I'm not focused on Dec 3rd which seems to be your obsession

So they are eating our lunch in the trenches…even though we have HoFers and endless investment in that group. Losing that matchup. Far from gameplanning to win it. Then you have their two LB to deal with. Best LB combo in the league. With quality S behind that. Only questions for their D are that opposite pass rusher from Bosa. They have several options….but no clear cut answer. Mostly it’s just about their CBs. The young guys that they ran with last season. So they are both just a year more experienced (NFL and Niners D).

Wait...wait...wait..   SF has a LB. Lol

Dude... did you watch the game last year?

49ers were **** slapped by the Eagles.

I can really appreciate and respect much about the Niners. Really see doing business much more like they have been. They cleared cap and loaded up their roster. I’ve been pointing it out for many seasons….like you stated. They’ve been to the SB and consistently knocking on the door every season for quite awhile. D has been coached and handled arguably the best league wide. While using different coaches to do it. Shannahan I respect as one of….if not THE…top O mind in football.

Niners dealt with heavy injury issues seemingly every season though.

But really just had the one flaw. QB. They had an unbelievable team constructed. But shanked the QB job. Endlessly…and badly. I mean they are a stacked team….even after throwing so much draft capital and money failing at QB.

Three first round picks and a third round pick for Trey Lance. Guy completely busted. Yet they still are right at the top of the league. I mean seriously…three 1s and a 3rd. Thrown away. Went through Kaep whole situation. Any QB play not killing them they pretty much win that game. Jimmy G just constantly made the worst mistakes at terrible times. His early game screw ups…they expected to overcome. And they did. But he just bone headed screwed them up in the fourth so many times.
