According to Ham we have 2 "demoralized over losing their starting jobs" RB's 🤣

I couldn’t be in the know about each guy being completely demoralized. I’d see it more as…put in check.

Yes injury does keep you sidelined. Both were injured and you cant compete for your job in the mash tent,so you lose the start due to injury not because you were beat out

Lol ... who cares, not as good as the Eagles.

If you don’t care so much then no need to reply. But it’s been going on for a long time now with the Niners. Had this incredible team setup. Great coaches. Advanced metrics have the Niners rated as the most injured team. They’ve lost the most snaps due to injury league wide.

Niners and Cowboys it’s been very obvious exactly what has been their downfall and held them back. Cowboys been limited by weak HCing. Niners starting QB.

If the Niners made a good decision at QB all this time….they’d have multiple Lombardis. They have really been the picture boys for how important getting the QB person is. They’ve wasted so much on trying to force any QB answer.  Crazy! They are this stacked…after throwing away so many draft picks towards QB.

Lucky for us… and the whole league.

They built their team right otherwise. They cleared their cap first. So they could have this contending window so freaking long. They aren’t forced to run off good players over them needing paydays. They have been doing this for years. Then add the biggest FA in Hargrave to their NFC Championship team.

Our cap is utilized so backloaded. We didn’t clear it on a 4 win team so we could just keep adding to our young contending team. Seems like a fairly predictable outcome that occurred with Rosie style GMing. 2016 got to be limited and grow a new team. Then could add the pieces to go for it year two. But then there is an inevitable decline. 2019 the team made a run still…but was a lesser version of the year before. The results pretty much exactly reflected this. They had a shot to try and get there. But was a team needing help and good fortune to host a parade. 2019 the roster really sunk. Really wasn’t a contender anymore. 2020 was the obvious complete dropoff from the 2017 spending. Yet Rosie still didn’t do much future cap on that bad team. So 2021 team completely stuck on building up a new young team.

Then 2022 they could add the pieces to go all in. Trade away a first round pick…to not go…all the way in. NFC was so ripe for the taking. Perfect setup for us to host a parade.

But was the team able to build on that Contending team? One year window to contend. Then the obvious management style rears its head again to limit 2023. Likely 2024 also.

Really have to say this offseason arguably worked out almost as best case scenario as Rosie could have hoped.

Draft fell beautifully to him. Had strong draft ammo to do it. Bradberry wanted to stay. BG and Cox wanted to stay.

Kelce came back

  • Author

But even all that draft luck and FA vet discounting to stay…wasn’t enough to consider the team improved. Even that wasn’t enough to keep the decline from looking most likely occurring. Seems like fairly basic obvious predictable outcome of the GM’s ways. Surprises me even that most everybody doesn’t see this pattern it’s so predictable.

Didn’t have to be like this however. Could have improved on last seasons team. Didn’t have to lose Ceedy Duce. I and the experts had his market value being much higher than how the market unfolded. The market absolutely didn’t pan out for No Mas only pending FA he obsessed over. I personally was too open minded to just consider only one option to go in the offseason. To put together that Championship Puzzle of a roster you gotta figure out the whole big picture.

  • Author

No Mas you instead were singularly focused on retaining Ceedy. Regardless of putting together a whole squad. Then the FA market played perfectly into our hands with him. Yet had to let him go. Most had his cost being much much larger. Rosie clearly had retaining him as a top priority this offseason to accomplish. Just like No Mas..,you were thinking. Top FA to retain….so any reality based plan to actual pull of keeping here had to involve a financial burden much larger than what ended up occurring. Our top FA desire we lost. In the most ideal and favorable circumstances to accommodate us. Yet he still couldn’t be retained.

  • Author

Couldn’t keep starters and playmakers here….that faced a bad market for their services. Even cheap we had to let good starters walk.

  • Author

Offseason worked out completely in our favor. Couldn’t have asked for a more favorable hand to be dealt.

  • Author

Top FA target to retain walked…over what? Five mil salary.

  • Author

Sanders walked over what? 6 mil
