Yes I am saying it. But seems no brainer comparison. Lost quality guys that didn’t get replaced.

Lost two good starting LB. I’m high on Dean even, but no way that group didn’t decline. Lost Epps and CGJ starting at S. No way that didn’t decline.

Sanders was Pro Bowl last season. Decline there.

Jurgens looking alright. But gotta think his inexperience and just not having years of familiarity with the guys next to him means something.

Both aging CB outside you wouldn’t think will recover as quickly with another year on them.

Team all the way around was incredibly injury free. No way that happens again.

Replaced the LB, RB and S that had fantastic seasons with bargain basement attempts. Just didn’t clear the cap enough. No money to address those properly.

Quit here, become a 9ers fan and hit their site. They got what you want

Nah…not a Niners fan. But agreed with their contract and personnel moves. All except at QB. Crippling. They’ve really blown that final piece in the largest of ways. Just brutal for years. Good for  the rest of the league at least. But they might have actually stumbled on to something with Purdy now. He shows how all that was needed was just decent and competent. A guy not blowing the game.

So you think 2023 squad is better than 2022?

Everything counts

Injuries and having bad QBs.

They do it the hard way...by building a 1970s team with RB and LB... then it's not surprising they get the results they do.  That is going to lead to more injurues... and less success vs the upper level teams without that stud QB.

They’ve built an excellent roster. Just the one position that killing them. But it’s not because they haven’t invested trying.

Think about this post and how ridiculous this sounds.

The organization made brutal choices regarding the most important position.

Which when looking at the fact that they haven't won a SB....  my response would be...." YA THINK!"

That's like admiring a man for having an ok life.... because he married a total idiot...and saying " that dude would have a great life, if he just married the right person"

You idolize two organizations...  Dallas who can't manage the cap.... and SF who can't pick a QB.

Yet you constantly bash the Eagles GM... because of such little dumb details.

It's hilarious.

I don’t just bash Rosie. I just don’t blow sunshine up his bum like you thinking every thing he’s doing is perfect. Cowboys actually managed the cap well enough. They’ve been plenty talented enough of teams. All about Jerry can’t have a HC that he can’t run. Cowboys just been missing HC this whole time. Niners just been missing QB.

I don’t remotely idolize either of these teams. But I do recognize reality. Niners years ago I just pointed towards how I agreed more with how they managed the cap than Rosie’s way. Think highly of the coaching they’ve chosen. But all those years ago I pointed out how they got to finish The Championship Puzzle. Had to get a QB. Been brutally killing and wasting such a strong roster. Same I say about Rosie though…on the Championship Puzzle completion on the roster. Job of the GM he has to be capable of finishing his job. Niners have been failing there…because they thrown and wasted so much on terrible QBs. Comes to the point philosophies about not spending on this or that position don’t matter. Drafting philosophy by position don’t matter. It’s a big picture puzzle. Overspend on whatever piece you have to win it all. Get bargains everywhere you can. But you gotta put it all together at some point. Gotta finish.

It's like .. you plan a wedding and focus on getting the best napkins.   You gotta take care of the basics first.  The steak or the substance.

You focus on the sizzle and the flash.  Grass is always greener.

It's hilarious an Eagles fan being any kind of envious of the 49ers.   Especially these last 7 seasons.

Can’t see it as envy. More like pity. They really just botched up the QB so bad they wasted an otherwise incredible team(coaches and players).

It’s been a long time the Niners been going through this. Can’t envy that. Obvious to everybody exactly what holds them back. Goal is win Lombardis. When you have a contending team would be nice to keep a contending window open for a few shots at it. Kind of sucked for us we went downhill after we finally won it. All because of previous crap season stuff handcuffing that otherwise top team. And now it sucks that this squad being held back by that loser 4 win teams salaries. If not for that baggage wouldn’t have to dumpster dive for starters at low prioritized positions. Could just afford to get Championship guys there instead.

All what years? We going back to the Montana and Young years? Those were awful choices

58 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said:

Basically almost anything else than they have

So basically call them because how many rook QB top picks make it to the top in the NFL. Guys like Wentz? Are you certain Bryce Young makes it to the SB? And what time frame are you allowing him to get there? If you can't understand it's a crap shoot and finding the correct combination of guys(which changes EVERY YEAR) to assemble 53 guys and win the Lombardi is not difficult I can't help you. Manziel? Pickett? Richardson?Lance? Love? If you can tell which QB's are going to stick with 100% certainty, by god POST THEM so these teams know whom to select

To keep them all you have to PAY THEM ALL and you are dead set against dead cap/spending money(except for every guy under the sun we SHOULD get),so how do you retain them without paying them??? Should we not have paid Hurts? We should have paid Sanders? I thought you were smarter than this

You have zero way of knowing this. If Penny and Swfit stay healthy they will blow Sanders contribution AWAAAAAAAAY. I already showed you the stats you refuse to believe. The fact you don't believe them doesn't change the stats

Or another year of experience right? Brady was an aging QB who won the SB, Gronk was a old TE. You have zero clue if they slowed down or not, just guess work

With 2 easy schedule years in a row. now this year games will be tougher to win, doesn't mean the team declined,it means it takes MORE to get the win

Because they spent the "ALL IN" money last year? You expect that every year??? OMG!!!! GL with that plan LOL

IDK haven't seen them play yet, neither have you

SO say they went all in for DeSean Watson, then there is no loot for Caff. So what do you do??? I guess then you overpay whiner Deebo? We tried buying the dream team remember? You have a short memory on that one. Great plan if you had unlimited funds and were the only suitor for every player you want. In real life that doesn't happen. try reality. If it's so damn easy Why aren't you a GM or HC since you have all the answers? I mean every team in the league needs your help
