Yet if Hurts didn't fumble the ball away...Howie would have built 2 Superbowl rosters 5 years apart.

I'll give credit to him for the 2017 team...as he " finished" the puzzle.    Last year however,  with the roster that started the offseason...  anyone would have to be a complete idiot to not recognize the job he did to build that final roster.

To constant complain ( which is what you do about Howie)   if he makes 10 moves... 8 or 9 being good.... you never point then out.  You discuss all the bad ones and try to spin things negatively  ALL THE TIME.

Just not true. You focus on my negative points. I just see the good and the bad. Call it like I see it on the fly. But….8 good moves…is nice. Completely the Championship Roster Puzzle is the job when you get it there. Last year he really was blessed with the perfect pieces falling in his lap. He did pull the trigger and get them.

Rosie built a great one…then it steadily declined year by year. Then got back there last year…predictable decline this year.

Cowboys have been fine personnel wise. Not lacking anything there. Dak I think is overrated. But just comes down to HC not good enough to win big Postseason games. These two guys they’ve had running things just aren’t good enough. Flat out. Pack with ARod over and him ….that one time. But he blew other chances that probably should have been won.

Ok... 1. Dallas can't " finish the puzzle"  because they managed the cap very poorly.   Being fine... you don't want that for your Eagles,  so why should the bar be set lower for Dallas?  They can't get past " fine" because they can't add.

2 SF.

2019... made the SB

2020.. 4th place.

2021... 3rd place

2022...1st place.

In comparison.. isn't that pretty much the same as the Eagles...except the Eagles started out winning the SB...  and finished last year beating SF.

While they both had the pathetic 2020 seasons ( if you use injury,  nobody had it worse than the 2020 Eagles)

They both rebounded to mediocrity in 2021.  Best two NFC teams in 2022...but Eagles were better.

There is nothing with the results that any Eagles fan should feel admiration for the 49ers.

You just don't comment on the good right?

When was the last time you gave Howie credit...without it being a passive aggressive backhanded compliment

Very simple...which GM would you prefer to have?

They just " Fall in his lap"

But Dallas manages the cap well

And SF just missing that small final piece of a QB.

I think Brown plays the CGJ position...and Blankenship plays for Epps.

Again... are you saying that Howie put a roster in 2022 that had good safety play?   Because you keep saying he neglected it last year?

Which is it?

Blankenship was already a part of last years team.

Obviously he neglected it so bad he was forced to trade and do something about it.

No small piece at QB. Killing them. Yet they still had a good amount of success even with a QB that was a liability.

I just showed SF inconsistency over the recent years... not achieving the highs of the Eagles...and falling lower ... yet you admire them.

You think they improved.  I don't.  I think the schedule was just as fortunate for them last year once CMC came and Purdy took over.

I think they overpaid for Hargrave, lost a few other key pieces.  Will now be a marked team.  Injuries always seem to happen to the same teams under the same  coach.  Doug experienced it here..even in 2017. But that roster was by far the best with substance not the flash of teams like the Falcons that you love. Why do we expect different  now? Deebo, CMC and Kittle will get beat up with the style they play.

Dallas does what they do. They’ve had a roster that stacks up well across the league. We keep trading positions with them basically.

I mean,  you are trying to spin a bench player as the guy replacing Epps.  The whole world knows its Blankenship.

Roster is fine…just need a quality HC…repeat…repeat….

But not one that had the puzzle finished. Because they can't add the way the Eagles have been able to...because they haven't managed the cap.

Blankenship was a member of that S room last season. But should be better this year. Blankenship was here in 2022 and 2023.

Fine is not the best...repeat repeat repeat.

Who is playing Epps position on the field.   Is it not Blankenship?

The 49ers are replacing Ward by unleashing a 32 year old....who was already on the roster last year right?

Similar to Blankenship replacing Epps.

It's the same thing.

So... you think the 32 year old replacing Ward is better than Blankenship replacing Epps?

That is the point I'm trying to make.  Stop the spins...  and talk reality.

Which team is in better shape with the switch at that S spot?

Yeah we really added. Added CJG to the Lions. Added Hargrave to the Niners. Edwards to the Bears. Sanders to the Panthers.

Ward lost his job to that guy last year

Niners are way better at S. They have the stud.

So now the next question....( since both Blankenship and the 32 year old in SF...were already on the rosters last year)..   which team has the better 3rd S to replace the rolls of Blankenship and the 32 year old.

That's the reality to look at.  Not the spin of Edmunds for Epps.

The results in Santa Clara aren’t good enough for sure. Needed to stop screwing up at QB. Lance they just threw away so much draft capital …into the wind.
