The Eagles spent money on Cox, Graham, Kelce,  Slay,  Lane... and resign Bradberry....   they chose how they wanted to make up their roster with who they wanted to let go and replace while gaining the comp picks.

A team like Dallas when they lose linemen, CBs, and WRs, prior to the contracts running out... that's poor cap management

They tried to make up for it this year with Cooks and Gilmore and drafting DT.

They should have already had those pieces and been able to add last year.  Instead they has to reshuffle and do it a year later.  And they still have to pay Lamb, Dak and Parsons coming up.

Dallas is always chasing their tales cap wise.

So last year Cowboys couldn’t really add. The year before we couldn’t add.

And that's what Dallas has done for years...  but they manage the cap well?

I pointed to the Niners as managing the cap well

The Eagles had one year...2021 where we couldn't add.  Dallas has been there for years.  You whined so much in 2021... imagine that every year.

Between 2014-2019.... the Eagles had only 2 comp picks... both in 2019

Dallas had 12

Because they lose players and can't afford free agents.

They handled the QB position in the worse way...both with Romo and then Dak.  That has set the tone and left them behind for years.  But they were bad prior to that.

The 49ers were similar to the Bears. They sucked for a while....so it's easy to not pay and start over.  They managed the cap so well they had to lose guys and overpay Hargrave.

$84 mil to a guy in his 30s who doesn't stop the run?    You see that as a good investment?

They haven't had to pay a QB yet ... that's part of why they were able to go spend.

We see how that works.  I'm looking forward to revisiting this in a few years.   Dallas and SF...compared to the Eagles.

But I'm sure it will be Hurts making up for a poor roster and bad coaching...lol

Wow....didn't realize how pathetic the cap was for Dallas.

On overthecap.com the comp pick page....shows Dallas losing Connor McGovern, Dalton Schultz and Noah Brown... they will get a 5th and a 6th rounder for losing them.

In the formula...they have ZERO guys signed.  Not even cheap guys who wouldn't qualify...  they actually spent ZERO!    NO MONEY.

The Eagles lost..

Hargrave, seamulo, Dillard,  CGJ,  Edwards, Sanders,  Epps, White, Shew, Pascal....  the guys who would count n getting a comp pick .

Now we didn't sign any qualifying guys to cancel... but we signed 5 guys that would count if the money matched.

Penny, Greedy, Evans, Morrow and Edmunds

This is before adding the 2 LBs and Josh Andrews.

Clearly there was a choice.   Eagles decided to go a different route with the positions.  Dallas couldn't afford the cheap guys.  Saving it all up to give Dak, Lamb and Parsons the big money.  After having to pay Diggs and Martin.

Btw.. let's wish Hargrave a healthy season... don't want to lose that 2nd best comp pick next year.

IDK I'm just a fan,a weekend warrior,I don't claim to know how everything works. I really don't follow other teams issues unless it affects us directly. So let the 9ers do the 9ers thing,I really don't care how or what they do. Maybe we see them in the playoffs,I will analyze at that time

Swift is shifty. He brings some playmaking and dynamic abilities. Sanders is just good.

LMAO. He burned us pretty bad week 1 LOL

But Hurts surely will pass much more this season. Lost part of the engine that chugged is down the field in Sanders.

Yep,Joe and I have been saying that all along,we need to see him grow in the passing game.So far so good, now we need to see him cut it loose. He has all the tools and he already established he needs to be respected on the run

Yeah we really added. Added CJG to the Lions. Added Hargrave to the Niners. Edwards to the Bears. Sanders to the Panthers.

Where did you find all this money to pay all those guys?

The results in Santa Clara aren’t good enough for sure. Needed to stop screwing up at QB. Lance they just threw away so much draft capital …into the wind.

(see Wentz)

IDK is Sanders better than Caff? I guess I will find out with my local by default 2nd team LOL. My underdog team this year is Jax.

3/4 fantasy drafts(well 3 is tomorrow) bad draft spots in every one(lucky me) 8,8,9 and 1 more to go In draft 2, I "won the draft" so I hope to do well there at least

Sanders is better than a right calf.  But most RBs with 2 healthy calves are better.   Carolinas problem now.

Jax ...the favorite to win their division is your underdog?

Looking at draft picks 2023....to improve going forward.

SF didn't have a pick until 87.

Eagles picked 4 guys by the mid 60s.

Next year SF gets some nice comp picks..  the Eagles will pick before them  in 3 of the 4 cases.

Cap space...

2023

Eagles  $13 mil

SF .... $10 mil

2024

Eagles = $47 mil

SF = NEGATIVE $12.9 MIL

Eagles have a QB on the books for extended period.... SF does not.

Maybe SF needs to " clear cap again"

Or maybe it's time to realize the Eagles have handled the cap and the management of getting picks ... pretty well.

The grass being greener is getting tiresome.   Only grass that has been greener is the sod from the SB.

Who won their division last year?  Is my memory that bad...I thought Jax won the AFC South and then won a playoff game?

You guys have a game to watch tonight.  Looking forward to the updates later.
