Here's the Thursday injury report, which contains all kinds of good news as Lane is the only question mark for Sunday.

Here's the likely differences between this game and the one three weeks ago.

On offense, our line will likely be Peters, Seumalo, Kelce, Herbig and Lane/Mailata/Driscoll. Three weeks ago it was Mailata, Opeta, Kelce, Herbig and Lane/Pryor. Obviously we are going to be better, especially considering the Giants traded their best outside rusher. Even if Seumalo doesn't play, we should be better.

At the skill positions, we will have Miles, Fulgham, Reagor, Jeffery, Goedert and Ward/Hightower/Scott. Three weeks ago it was Scott, Ward, Fulgham, DJax, Rodgers, Hightower/Clement. It remains to be seen how Jeffery is worked in, but if he's close to healthy he should give us a boost.

On defense, the lineup will be the same except for Edwards (replacing Gerry), Maddox at CB2 and the return of Malik Jackson. The big decision facing the team is how they will handle the secondary. My guess is that Parks will see a lot of snaps. He was active in the last game. LeBlanc and NRC will fight for snaps at the nickel.

I believe Epps is still on the covid list, so the team has two open roster spots. Seumalo will get one and I am guessing the other one either goes to a DT or Jacquet.

 

Golden Tate was suspended by the team for last weeks game. Then came up with an injury this week. Seems like the two have parted ways already.

I thought the news sucked. Figured everybody that practiced was good already anyway. Learning that James coming back from a hamstring injury...injured his shoulder yesterday definitely wasn’t good news. Hearing that Lane can’t put it together also hurts to hear.

Welp, I have Kelce out on bye this week, so I am playing "cover 2" and am starting Engram against us. BUT I snagged the birds D for this game( since my starting D is also on bye).So, my hope is we destroy them but Engram gets 2 TD's lol

You would probably get your wish if Gerry were playing.  

I hate doing this, but I started the Giants defense in one of my leagues.  Based on the amount of sacks Wentz takes and the amount of turnovers he commits, fantasy defenses score a lot of points against the Eagles.

Probably a good call. We just can’t seem to cover a TE.

What happens when you lose Jenkins who’s job it was primarily and have LBs like Edwards who isn’t a cover guy and Gerry who isn’t even playing well at his supposed strength. Mills is alright but it’s a different game going from covering WRs to a TE

It’s good to hear Alshon seems to have been a good vet to the youngster... Reagor coming out saying Alshon has been helping him since day 1.

Seems like something minor but lots of vets feel threatened by rooks and refuse to help them

There is more to it than that. We are playing more Man coverage this season. 

When I hear the quotes from our guys about the upcoming matchup it always seems to be pumping up the opponent. Like...too much. I don’t want them to be disrespectful and overlook an opponent but.....kind of seems like that’s part of the mentality that gets them to play down to some opponents. Pumping them up too much during the week to where the guys believe it some. Too respectful. Sometimes, especially against the hated giants, I want to hear "we are taking them to the woodshed!” You’ve studied all the film. You’ve seen a guy make every kind of play if you watch enough film. But don’t build him up to be a HoF.

Furthermore, BG, Nigel Bradham was the Strong Side LB a bunch. That makes the TE his responsibility.

We played two LBs ham majority of the time can you really say there was a strong or weak side when there are only 2 LBs on the field... and again there isn’t more then what I said Jenkins majority of the time covered a teams TE. Man zone didn’t matter. 

Engram has all the physical tools to be one of the best TEs in the game whether it’s the QB or him it hasnt all clicked. I pray that we don’t see Edwards ever on Engram because that is a disaster waiting to happen especially in man coverage.

I would credit it to a combination of the worst head coaches in football with constant turnover along with injuries.  I doubt he has received the benefit of being "coached up" consistently since being drafted in the 1st round.

I could have added the gnats D, but with some main players out this week, I chose to play the "cover 2" lol. Add to that "apparently" our O line should be a tad better this week, so I had to choose

RE-Engram. It really DID pain me to add him, but I am the #1 team in every league I am in.I can't afford a loss right now, so I had to bite the bullet and go against my grain. I had to ponder picking up the Eagles or gnats D. I suppose some guilt for adding Engram, made my choice easier lol. Say what you want about Gallman, but the way our D is playing right now,I would have to consider him a viable weapon, and their WR's ain't crap. They just need a better QB (sounds familiar?). SO we will see if I chose right soon enough. I'm also hoping this is the week Wentz gets his **it together. Keeping our D OFF the field will make them better simply because they are not gassed
