Anyway him coming here has little to do with anything. it's a drama point. I'm sure Howie is aware of what he can do and if he wanted him,he can do that with a phone call. Just writers finding drama to keep their jobs. He's not playing,there is nothing to see that howie can't find on his endless vids

You’d think his situation would make him at least want to play for peanuts with a contender

Just should have kept Sanders and pay him,thats what you are saying. Howie let him walk,why would he replace that? We could have signed Sanders long term for alot too. Howie won't do it

The RB market has been extensively discussed and recognized as being at a low this offseason. Do you disagree?
  Taylor is coming off his worst season….making his own value at its lowest. Do you disagree?

I disagree that a team won't offer him a long term deal to where he wouldn't take the security...because he thinks he can get significantly higher waiting a year.

I think he wants to not play for Irsay.  He will get his 8 figure per year deal elsewhere.  I don't think he expects the market to jump enough to where he wins.

Do you expect the RB market to jump to where a guy like Tony Pollard will make more than the amount he us making now for the limited experience he has?

Are you expecting 20 mil per?

You don't think a team can offer him a deal... where they can use this year to absorb a cap hit...so they can increase the offer... you feel he should wait?

I think he will get at least one team that will offer more than peanuts ... and it will be negotiated before the trade.

The " permission to talk" ... means permission to negotiate.   That's what I think Taylor's agent will do.  Otherwise ... the only "negotiations " would be between the Colts and other teams regarding compensation.

All the BS surrounding injuries Irsay has used dealing with the situation absolutely demands a physical be taken to complete any trade

Idk... anyone chime in here with knowledge of the NFL.

A question ...when you hear that a player has been given permission to negotiate with other teams....  what do you think they are negotiating?   Is it contract... or what to trade to the current team???

Dude... Taylor is way better than Sanders... not even close.

Believe Taylor thinks the RB market sucks. That he’s coming off his worst season limiting his own leverage in a terrible market to get a just payday. Don’t think Taylor is very interested in settling for such a weak payday.

And just like that the Ravens pre season win streak ends at 23. 29-28 Wuss

So would the money be also,much higher

And that can only be done in Philly???

Ham wants him for a 4th  🤣

Agree... that's why he is " negotiating "

Correct....and i believe one of the teams he will negotiate with, will pay it.

Taylor makes $4.3 mil this year...base salary.    The next team can use a signing bonus and lower that base salary... say he gets an $18 mil signing bonus...they spread that out over 6 years... $3 mil cap hit for the bonus.. it lowers the cap hit this year...puts around $19 in his pocket... then you can throw in $10 mil for the next 4 or 5 years.   Say 5 years... ( including this one) $59 mil.

Now.... that's a hypothetical... I think a team would absolutely offer.

Now if he plays out this year for  4.3 mil....  what can he make by waiting and risking injury?

He could probably make more...now a team can't use this year to absorb cap...so it gets more difficult.   Now he starts $15 mil behind because instead of $19 mil in his pocket...it's only $4.3 mil.

He has to catch up.... tough to do any time soon. Plus forsake the guarantee.

Now ... to be honest...I think he will get more than that with the team that trades for him.

The agent wants to get paid...get his client paid..  and wins by getting him out of Indy.

Will Taylor give that up thinking the market will go up that substantially?

In my very humble opinion... I don't think so.

The spin... 4 years $55 milion of extra money.   Almost $14 mil per.

If you were his agent...you got that offer in your hand...the get out of jail ( Indy) card.

What would you do?

Josh Jacobs has not reported to the LV training camp and has not signed his tag,so things get interesting for LV. Taylor could drop right in there

Sign it. I just don't think it would be here

Sign it

So now...  if you are a team negotiating with Taylor's agent.  Would you offer..

5 years 59 mil.... with 4 years 55 mil of new money....  $36 mil guaranteed?

2023... $19 mil paid...   cap hit $4 mil

2024 ...  $8 mil....  cap hot $11 mil

2025 ... $ 9 mil... cap hit $12 mil

2026. .. $10 mil. .. cap hit $13 mil

2027 ... $13 mil... cap hit $16 mil

2028... dead money $3 mil

Taylor would be nice upgrade for the Ravens

IDK if anyone would offer that for an injured RB,but if they did I would jump on it and walk away with a smile if I'm the agent

Immediately better than JK Dobbins

You have him playing at ages..

2023 =24

2024 = 25

2025 = 26

2026 = 27

2027 = 28

Do you think it's realistic a team would pay that contract,  and offer a 2nd round pick...for a stud running back at this age?

I absolutely think it's what at least one team will do.  One that he is going to negotiate with.

 No no....he isn't injured.    That's the excuse not to participate in Indy.

Ham is correct here.  It's all BS from the BS organization in Indy.

My thought is the Ravens would /should be interested. Their RB's are not all that good and they are in a tough division that has better RB's than they have. Take some pressure off jackson
