I do blame for not getting P competition. But if we rostered a young P maybe we developed him to not completely suck by the time of the SB. It’s possible. But just one scenario of many endless

Which team " rosters" a young punter to develop?   You don't see this as left field?

IDK how you develop a P. They can kick or they can't All a rook needs to do is get the NFL speed difference down. IDK that there is more development. I mean he should have his footwork down in college(or why bring him in?)  A rook P learns the NFL speed in camp I would think. either he can transition or he can't

IDK Ham was all for the "underdog" Scott. So was I. He has a job,yet Ham won't allow the same for Sermon,so I don't understand the hatred LOL. IMO if you gave Sermon reps he can be as good or better than Scott. Siri seems to see that also,so IDK what his future is here because we have 4 GOOD backs already. Sermon also played with some unknown QB in Oklahoma named Jalen Hurts

JMO-differ if you want. Penny is as good as Blount on Ajayi

The current RB room of Gainwell, Swift, Penny and Scott reminds me of the RBBC from 2017

Some people just happy when they complain... it's a way to make them feel superior.

Sermon is like Smallwood.

Really if Boston Scott was the primary RB...and Greg Ward was cut.  The Superbowl was in the bank.

Those moves had a negative effect on Gannon at half time.

GB... Google Reuban Frank with his article about Penny looking really good in practice.

Good stuff... if you like to read from guys who are around the team every day for a lot of years now.

I have this crazy idea. Let's let the staff do their jobs. I'm a REBEL WOOOOOOO

Reich on Sanders: he’s a dual threat. Has great vision. Has long speed. Has burst and quickness

We ran right out to claim him,no waiting. Other teams would have had to beat our offer. Doesn't mean they wouldn't have claimed him for less

Think we were like 20th in waiver order.

My idea is even better... we don't have a choice.  We don't have to agree with every move.   But I'm not going to make a big deal over all the little dumb stuff.   Sermon on the roster one year... Ward on the roster for what... 26 years it seems.   But Sermon cost us.... that was the huge mistake.

Can't blame Hurts for the one key mistake.

We gotta roster a punter for development.

S wasn't good because it was addressed too late.

The gift trade with the Saints was bad .. guaranteed we could have traded back and got Dax..  then we still would have looked to get CGJ even if Dax was playing well in camp.

Dallas manages the cap well even though their stars have monster cap hits and they can't sign free agents for a decade.

SF doesn't win as much as us... didn't draft until #87...and are in negative cap space next year... but we need to model ourselves after them because in 2017,they cleared cap after 4 years of being in last place.

I don't like the way Howie handled 2020... Doug and Wentz were hung out to dry.   However, since then with the team in shambles, old, injured and need of a new coach, while seeing what the young QB could do... he built a pretty good supporting cast around them in 2 years.

You have 32 teams looking to be the best... one team with the best player in the league at the most important position is ahead of you...and it took a slippery field,  fluke fumble and punt return... and you only lost by 3.

You then seemed to kill the next draft ... probably wrote the best contract in NFL history when you compare Hurts to other guys at his position in regard to cap hits... $12 mil less than Hargrave over the next 4 years,  A 30 year old DT who can't stop the run.

Is it perfect, absolutely not.   Not even close.   The objective isn't to be perfect, just be better than those 31 other teams... of which one of them was better....but if you look at their roster, I can't say it's better ...they have Mahomes.

He should excel now.  Get all the clutch snaps.

Reich simply doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Just pulling your chain lol

A team that has a crappy starting P

What is the precedent? Which specific team has done it?

Wondering if Rosie can swing a trade here. Obviously my top target is Patrick Queen you all know. But I’m thinking about our guys. Always be nice to grab a pick for a guy getting cut. But maybe we trade a better player for some real draft ammo and don’t have to cut a young guy looking good at the same position.
