I heard 16 now it's down to 14-15. Indy has not budged on the round 1 pick,so what are you going to do? Taylor will also have to accept humble pie when there is no deal. If there is a deal someone will overpay or he will cave to reality and Indy also has to back off the round 1 pick

So there are numerous things that need to happen before a deal can be made. The first one is he has overvalued himself, the second is the Colts have overvalued him, then Taylor has to want to play for that team. Bears have loot to burn,so that's his best shot IMO

Although they are not interested,IMO the Ravens would be a great place for him

In other news we signed Isaiah Rodgers to stash on the suspended list. He's still on suspension for gambling but we'll have him for next yr to boost our aging CB room

Hint: there IS no starter,it's the RBBC LOL.

Sure. Until you have the true starter.

So what is your plan for bringing Taylor in, are you renting him for the year or planning on tying up assets for 5 years@ 14 million a year?

Whatever it takes to win the SB this year.

He was "on another level" because he WAS their offense. There was noone else.

Nah, he actually is an elite RB. You make it sound like anyone would have his success over there.

We lost like 7 good players after the SB game? We're not rebuilding?

We lost CJGJ, Sanders and Edwards. We are not rebuilding, actually as far from it as any team ever was.

If I wanted to overpay at RB I would just have re-signed Sanders

Well then I am glad that you’re not the GM. Often injured and with crucial drops, never looking good catching the ball.. but hey he was fine in his contract year so let’s overpay Sanders?

Hell no, if we pay big it might as well be a player that actually deserves it. But let’s see if you see it different when Sanders looks pedestrian and/or gets hurt this year again.

The Eagles always look for a shifty pass catcher but what we really need to win is that guy that just trucks over people. Ideally one that still can catch the ball too. That’s very much Taylor and not at all Sanders.

He wants a 14-15 million a year long term contract and Indy wants a round 1 pick. He will play in Indy this year if he/they stick to that. Deadline tomorrow at 3. If there was a contract he wanted and a deal Indy agreed to,it would have been presented and accepted by now. OR someone is going to overpay

Reported rumor-deadline. Wouldn’t hang my hat on that one.

If they get a good offer in a few days  I bet they still take it.

Define a "good offer" Are you doing a 1 year rental or signing him to the 4/5 he wants and coughing up a round 1 pick?

I'm glad you're not the GM either

Hard to respond when you lump 150 posts at once LOL

Deadline is Tuesday at 3 PM per Isray. I'll hang my hat on that one

If I'm Howie I;m not paying a RB-Sanders(why he's already gone right???),Taylor(why would we lose sanders just to overpay someone else???) or otherwise

So Infam what is the "good offer" you're making to Isray?

From the get go Siri wasn’t high on Sanders. Now why is that you can ask? The simplest answer would be because he just came from Taylor.

The RB Market appears to be at around 11 mil. Barkley and Jacobs pay. Taylor is under contract this season for 4.3. He gets cash in his pocket paid…but Rosie will just work his ‘contract magic’.,…cap hits will be spread out over the full five years. Most likely containing an out after three years.

Doesn't matter who siri is high on,Howie Won't pay period

Meaning signing bonus would be spread over five years.

It definitely should. Wasn’t a Sanders guy.

Isray wants a round 1 pick, taylor wants 14-15 mil. You are assuming they will both cave?

So are you doing the 1 year rental or the 4-5 years?

The way things appear now it wouldn’t surprise if the Eagles go second rounder on a Rb again in 2024 draft. Or? Could just trade for Taylor right now

2 teams have put offers in. We know Miami is one,we don't know who the other is

Best move would be Colts having to be forced a trade under one year rental terms. Then extend him on the teams own terms during the season.
